This is a brief guide
to the various aggressive in-line skating tricks that can be done
on curbs and handrails...
Cabs
Spins before landing on the grinding edge. For
example, 180 degrees backwards to rail, 360 forwards or 90 to backside.
Rewinds
After grinding, perform a spin off the edge, such
as, 180 to fakie.
Fakie
When you move backwards into or out of a trick.
Late
Before landing on a ramp, rail or ground, add
a half or full twist at the last moment.
Frontside
You land on the grinding edge, with your body
facing the edge and with your feet parallel to each other while travelling
sideways.
Backside
As with the frontside, but you grind with your
back to the edge.
Soul
The trailing leg grinds the rail with the rail
between soul and frame, while the toes point forward. The front foot
frontsides.
Acid
Soul
As with the soul but the lead foot points away
from rail with the instep facing forwards.
Alley
Oop Soul
A soul with the toes on the souling foot pointing
backwards.
X
Grind
Effectively a double soul.
Royale
A front or backside with back foot laid down on
the rail, the outside edge grinding the rail.
Miszou
A soul but front foot souls.
Makio
Grind
A soul but the lead foot is grabbed.
