KEN MASTERS AND RYU

WHY?

It's pretty obvious. Daniel-san is the cool, calm, focused embodiment of Karate (much like Ryu) while Kobra Kai dude is the ferocious , fiery, quick, egotistical and aggressive embodiment of Karate (much like Ken). Also , this movie was released before SF1 , hence why I believe KK (Karate Kid) inspired these two characters.
