O4W Achievements
Sine our founding in late 2003, numerous 4x4 owners have joined O4W in many projects. Here are a few worth mentioning. We are a pending permanent member of the DLNR NA Ala Hele's Oahu Advisory commitee, we work with Hanauma Bay to malama the C&C park and have been granted access to the Koko Head Trail, we work together with "Oahu Nature Conservancy" in adopting Ihi'ihilauakea Crater and namesake endangered fern in the crater, we pull out abandoned wrecked burned out cars from Kaena Point Mokuleia side with our own trucks, we brought Tread Lightly! to Hawaii, we ran a 4x4 trip to Kauai with seven participants (see link), we hosted the first annual Easter Safari to Peacock Flats, we have Easter Safari & Big Island trip planned for 2005 already.

4 wheeler Coalition
In Hawaiian "Na Kolo" means "the crawlers", although I imagine it has never
been used in this context before. We are Oahu 4 Wheelers. Our goals are simple.
To keep 4 wheeling legal and legitimate on Oahu, support the community through
service projects, promote proper and safe use of 4x4 vehicles, and to unite
local clubs and vehicle owners.

Trail of the month
One goal of Oahu 4 Wheelers is to adopt high use areas and clean them up. Click on Kaena Point to see how it was cleaned up recently by a small coalition of 4 wheelers that included the Dirt Surfers and HTR. 4x4Hawaii posted pictures of the wheelers filling trash bags and removing abandoned derelict cars.
Future plans call for quartely cleanups of high use areas such as Kaena
Point and Queens Beach (Allen Davis or AD's). More pristine areas such as
the Kuaokala and Poamoho trails may also be receiving free trail maintenance
compliments of Oahu 4 wheelers.
On other times throughout the year we may involve ourselves with public beach
park cleanups, toys-for-tots type drives, and other community service projects.
These types of events will create a positive image of Oahu 4 wheelers in
the local population. Get involved or lose it all.
