School Rules

Here are a few rules that are observed within the do-jang (school).  Please read over these rules before participating in the class for the first time.
  1. Practitioners must bow when entering and leaving the Do-jang (school).
  2. Practitioners must always bow to the Sah-Bum-Nim (Master Instructor).
  3. Practitioners must use the words "Sir" or "Ma'am" when speaking to Instructors or elders.
  4. Conversation is not permitted in the Do-jang.
  5. Practitioners must attend classes regularly for their own good.
  6. Practitioners must keep the Do-jang and their Do-bok (uniform) clean.
  7. Practitioners must be in class on time.
  8. Practitioners must not enter or leave the class without permission from the Sah-Bum-Nim.
  9. All practitioners are expected to be courteous and understanding.  Advanced practitioners are expected to set a good example to new students and to assist them whenever necessary.
  10. Practitioners must respect higher ranks and obey.
  11. Practitioners must not participate in any tournament competition without Sah-Bum-Nim's permission.  Trophies or medals won in competitions must be placed at the Do-Jang.
  12. Practitioners must get Sah-Bum-Nim's permission to engage in free sparing.
  13. Practitioners must use protective gear (head gear, chest protector, groin protector, shin in-step guard, forearm guard, and mouth piece) to engage in free sparing.
  14. The school, Sah-Bum-Nim, and any instructors will not be responsible for any injuries which occur during free sparing.
  15. Practitioners must follow the five tenets of Tae Kwon Do: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, indomitable spirit.

****Disciplinary action will be taken for violation of the above rules.  Penalties will vary at the discretion of the Sah-Bum-Nim.  Such penalties are: possible demotion of rank, suspension, or termination of training.
