Skydiving Courses are offered by Peterlee Drop Zone(Directions).The Drop zone is well equipped with good facilites and excellent instructors. Ground training is provided by fully certified BPA instructors. For information and prices click the links below. There are 3 main systems of skydiving available.
RAPS is the most common training scheme in which you can get your "license" within 18 jumps.
Advanced Free Fall, or AFF, is a good course - if you have the money!
Tandem is more of a one of experience of freefall strapped to a qulaified instructor
The Drop Zone is located just off the A19 at the Peterlee turn off, head for Shotton Colliery and follow the signs for the Airfield. It looks like a dead end but there is an airfield there - honestly!
