Chapter 59
After breakfast, Kevin showered as AJ and Sarah cleaned the kitchen.
"He seemed to be feeling much better" Sarah commented as she dried the last plate.
"Yeah, he just had to make a plan and put it in motion" AJ said carefully, as not to give away Kevin’s secret.
Sarah was a little confused by the sudden enthusiasm but she decided to let it go as she wasn’t part of their inner circle yet. She knew by Kristina’s description that all of the guys and their girlfriends were a tight knit group. One that she wouldn’t mind being a part of if she could ever get them to look past Kristina’s death and see her for the woman she really was. How she wished she had listened to Kristina and joined them while she was still alive. They could have dealt with their loss together and things could have been much different.
"Hey baby – you still with me?" AJ asked as he stared into Sarah’s blank eyes.
"I’m sorry. I was just thinking about Kris."
AJ pulled her closer, holding her in a tight embrace. "You do that often, don’t you?"
"Yeah. I really miss her, Alex."
"I’ve got an idea," he said as he pulled away from her, the smile returning to his face. "Why don’t you check out of the hotel and stay here with me?"
"What? And give up Room 69?" she laughed.
AJ placed her hands on his hips and guided them slowly across his stomach and chest. "I’ve got room ‘69’ right here, gorgeous. Say you’ll stay with me and let me show you ALL that Hotel McLean has to offer."
"Sounds inviting" Sarah purred.
Leaning in to place a kiss along her shoulder bone and up the curve of her neck, he said, "Does that mean you will stay?"
Sarah’s lips met his, a strong desire to shed all of her clothing and pull him to the floor taking control of her thoughts. She moaned softly into his mouth as he slid his hand up the front of her tank top caressing her breasts.
"Please stop" she groaned. "You are getting me so fucking hot and Kevin’s going to walk in here any minute and interrupt."
Sighing, AJ leaned his forehead against hers and moved his hand out of her shirt, placing it on her hips. "You’re right. I’m sorry!"
Sarah smiled wickedly at him as she whispered, "Don’t be sorry. Just get rid of him so we can finish what we started last night."
He laughed out loud at her eagerness to be alone with him. It was the same thing he was feeling.
"Actually, I’ll be taking Kevin to the airport this evening. He’s got some unfinished business in LA and I thought that I would drop you off at the hotel and let you pack your stuff and check out. Then, on my way back, I’ll pick you up and bring you back here with me. How does that sound?"
"Sounds good."
"Cool. Go get a shower and I’ll finish up here."
"K" Sarah said as she blew him a kiss and headed off to his bathroom.
