TimeSplitters 2 - Weapons


Silenced Pistol

Description This is just your standard pistol with a silencer. This gun is O.K. if your facing off against 1 or 2 guards with pistols themselves, but more than that, and you're gonna be in a heap o' trouble.

Luger Pistol

Description Basically the same as the Silenced Pistol, except for the fact that this is old school. This is the gun you use in the 1930's Chicago level.

Garret Revolver

Description This is your standard revolver. Pretty poweful, but a bit of a recoil makes it a bad choice in battles against a bunch of opponents.

Sniper Rifle

Description This is your standard sniper rifle. A huge recoil and small clip size make it useless in gunfights. This is best used to snipe off distant enemies.

Vintage Rifle

Description This is the almost exact same thing as the above rifle. The only difference is the design, because it is a much older model.

Crossbow

Description Here is your average crossbow. It shoots arrows (what more could you ask for?). But there is one little cool thing about this crossbow: you can light the bolts on fire. Just walk up to something on fire (not a person, cause then you will get caught on fire!) and the crossbow will light up.

Flamethrower

Description This is one of the worst weapons in the game. As soon as you light someone on fire, they start chasing you and light you on fire!

Shotgun

Description Here is your average, everyday shotgun. Good power, good range, but it has a big recoil (like every other shotgun in the world). But the real fun thing about this gun, is that you can have it as a double weapon!

Tactical 12 Gauge Shotgun

Description This is a much more powerful version of the shotgun with one problem: it has no range. The only way to do serious damage to someone with this gun is close up. If you shoot at someone far away, the shells will spread so far that only a few (if any) will hit. It also has long loading times, and a recoil that is slighty bigger than the average shotgun. Another good thing about this gun, is the secondary function. You can take a double-barrel shot. In other words, when you pull the trigger once, the shotgun fire twice.

Soviet S47

Description According to a reliable source (the FAQ that I stole some of this info from :p) this gun is really an AK-47. Anyways, it's a pretty powerful automatic gun, with a pretty good firing rate. Great weapon for multiplayer to blast your opponents back to oblivion. This is also one of the few guns in the game that has a second function, which is kind of wierd.

Tommy Gun

Description The Thompson that has been used way back in 1950's Chicago (which is also the level you're gonna use this gun in). It's a great gun with good firing rates, good damage, and good range. This is a good choice when you are in a multiplayer battle.

Sci-Fi Handgun

Description This is basically what a pistol will look like in 50 years. Remember the second function of the MagSec 4 in Perfect Dark? It would shoot 3 bullets in succession when you pulled the trigger? Well this gun shoots 3 little "light beams" all at once! This gun is about as powerful as a normal pistol, but the fact that the "light beams" can bounce of walls makes it a bit more dangerous.

Double Weapon

Laser Rifle

Description Despite its name, this gun is not a rifle (but it is a laser). It's pretty weak unless you charge up the shot (by holding down the trigger button), but the great thing about this gun is that the secondary function is a shield. The shield, however, continuously drains ammo, so try not to use it unless necessary.

Plasma Autorifle

Description This is one of the best weapons in the game. It shoots out plasma at a high, powerful firing rate and its second function is really fun! If you use its second function, you get to shoot a flaming grenade that will stick to anything, including other people! If, for no other reason, you want to use this gun, use it because of the flaming grenades. The only drawback on the primary function, however, is that after you continuously fire the gun, it gets overheated.

SBP90 Machinegun

Description Another one of the best guns in the game. This is one of the most powerful guns and it has one of the fastest firing rates of all the guns in the game. It is also extremely accurate. This gun should be your #1 choice un multi-player and single player mathces. Also, if you get this as a double weapon, then you have basically won. And if this looks like a familiar gun to those who played Perfect Dark, it is. This is basically the same as the RC-P120 (except without the cloaking device).

Mini-Gun

Description This is thee most powerful gun in the game. Superman won't be faster than one of these speeding bullets, and this gun can stop 10 speeding locomotives. But all this comes at a price. It takes time for the nozzle to start spinning fast enough to shoot bullets (the secondary function will correct this by letting you keep the nozzle spinning indefintely) and the gun gets overheated easily, reducing firing rates significantly. It's not a long range weapon, so you should use this when you're outnumbered in close combat or just feel like pulverizing someone.

Homing Launcher

Description Here is one of the coolest version of the rocket launcher. Once you get your opponent in the crosshairs of your launcher, shoot the rocket and the rocket will keep following your opponent until contact. The second function is what makes this rocket launcher really unique, caue you get to shoot three rockets that will all home onto someone!

ElectroTool

Description For you guys who have played Quake 3, remember the Electric Gun? Exact same thing. Damage rates are average, but range is long. Not useful if your facing many opponents, but it can do some major damage on one opponent at a time. Just remember that this should not be your primary weapon of choice, though.
