NBA Street (GCN) - Review

Here is yet another great GameCube game with almost perfect graphics. The designers didn't leave out anything. Well except the part that has to do with 'replay value.' I think this is the only game I've played that is extremely fun at the beginning, but then become a piece of crap after you beat it (probably after a month).

Graphics: This is another GameCube game with almost perfect graphics. Not only are the people extremely detailed, but also they do the moves, dunks, passes, and even the taunts that real AND1 players do. They can do the slip 'n slide and the cyclone. They can do the dinner's served (you know, the move T-Mac always does) and around the world. They can do wrap-around passes, and they even wave their finger at you when they swat your shot out of the air just like your mom waved her finger at you when you drew pictures on the wall with your crayola crayons. And that is just a little taste of all their moves. Graphics – 9/10.

Sound/Music: The sound was also done really well. You can hear them make noises after getting screened, when they go up for the game winning shot and they know they'll make it they sometimes say, "That's game, baby" or, "That's in." The commentator is also good. He's even funny sometimes. If you start jumping around a lot, he'll say something like, "Hey man, did you have too much coffee today or somethin'?" But the music isn't all that great. The beat is supposed to get faster when the pace of the game gets fast, but even when that happens the music isn't all that good. The designers should've definitely worked more on music. Sound/Music – 7/10

Replay Value: I can't believe how bad the replay value is for this game. When you first get it, you start playing and say to yourself, "Wow, this is a pretty fun game." But once you beat the game, which will definitely take no more than 2 months, you'll be crying that you got this sorry piece of crap. After you beat it, there is nothing left to do at all, except wait for your friends to come over and play against them. And to make it even worse, you can only play against one of your friends at a time. That's right, this is no 4-player game at all. But I still gotta give them some credit for making the game fun while it lasted. Replay Value – 5/10

Overall: This is an OK game. It gives you a lot of fun, with very detailed graphics and a funny commentator, but after you beat it, you'll think that buying it in the first place wasn't such a good idea. So don't buy it unless it's less than $40.Overall: 7/10
