XTreme Wolverine Season 1 Episode 7: ”Brother vs. Brother”

A voice cries out: Previously on XTremeWolverine, the following clips are shown:

1- From Rampage, Wolverine fights and kills The Lizard King.

2- From Battle of the Century 2, Wolverine and Alpha Flight defeat Sabretooth.

3- From Reality Bites, Logan kills Dracula and his wife flies away leaving Logan a note.

Scene 1: In a laboratory in Manhattan, a young scientist is hard at work on his latest experiment. The camera zooms in and we see that his name is James Dunbrow, but to others the mutant known as NIGHTCRAWLER. James has been recognized all over the world for his work in chemistry. He is currently experimenting on a potion that can make you teleport from once place to another. All of his experiments have worked. But tonight, he will not be so lucky. "Hmm. Levels seem good. Time to test this baby out,” he says. He takes a sip of the potion. Nothing happens. "That's strange, I don't feel anything." He sighs and heads out to go home. On his way home,a mugger approaches him. "Gimme your wallet or else" says the mugger. "Or else what?" says Nightcrawler. The mugger pulls out a gun and tries to shoot him in the head. As if by instinct, Nightcrawler teleports away. "Wh-where'd he go?" asks the mugger with a stunned look. He looks around and sees nothing but darkness. Nightcrawler then appears and kicks him in the gut. The mugger gets up and fires his gun but cant hit the back side of a barn as Nightcrawler keeps teleporting. "Hold still you runt!" screams the mugger. He runs out of bullets and gets into a fighting pose. Nightcrawler appears in back of him and breaks his neck, killing him instantly. Sirens are heard in the background and Nightcrawler leaves. (scene fades)

Opening Credits

Scene 2: Back at the mansion, Logan is in his room meditating. He is wearing only boxer shorts. A knock is heard on his door. "Who is it?" he asks. "It's me Valerie." "Come on in Red." Valerie Grey enters and sits on his bed. "How are you today Logan?" she asks. "I'm doing good, now that you're here." Valerie blushes. Logan then grabs her hand. "Listen Red, I know that you have feelings for me. Just let them out." He goes for a kiss but Valerie stops him. "I-I can't Logan. I love Scott. I'm sorry", she says as Logan's face hits the bed. "What does that punk got that I dont got?" asks Logan as he gets up off the bed. Valerie looks down. Logan gets up and hugs her. "Its ok darlin'. I understand." Valerie starts to cry. Suddenly, Logan feels a sharp pain in his side. He falls down clutching his rib cage. "Logan! Are you allright?" screams Valerie. There is no response from Logan as he is hunched over. "Hold on. I'll go get the Professor." Valerie runs down the hall and we see Logan in tremendous pain.

Scene 3: Professor Page, Dr. Grey and Beast all enter Logan's room. Logan is still in pain. "Logan what's wrong?" asks the Professor seemingly concerned. Still no answer from Logan. *White Flash* Logan enters a dream where he is in a dark sewer. He can't see a thing. Then a light appears in front of him. He follows the light. He covers his eyes. "Hello? Is someone there?" he asks. The mysterious figure holding the light turns around. Logan looks shocked. "J-James is that you?" "Indeed it is my brother,” says Nightcrawler. "What are you doing here?" Logan asks, and James smiles at him. "I'm here to save you." "Save me? From who?" A dark figure comes behind Nightcrawler. "From me!", he says. He then blasts Nightcrawler with a lightning bolt and Nightcrawler dies. *White Flash* Logan screams as he awakens from the dream. "NOOOO! JAMEEES!" "Be still Logan" says Beast. "Logan, what did you see?" asks the Professor. "I saw my brother. He was trying to save me but got killed by this evil man in red."I didnt know you had a brother Logan,” says Valerie. "He's not my real brother. I met him while I was in Alpha Flight and he was in Excalibur as a scientist. We have become the best of friends ever since. That is why I call him 'brother'. But I feel that he is in danger. I've never felt something like this before." Page thinks to himself. "Logan, come with me. I want to check Cerebro." Page and Logan then leave the room with Valerie and Beast looking on.

Scene 4: Nightcrawler (aka James Dunbrow) is reaking havoc in Manhattan. He is trying to contol his new powers but to no avail. He is killing innocent people that cross his path. People are heard screaming and running for their lives. "Don't scream. I dont know what's happening to me," he says. He sees a mother with child across the street. He teleports to their location. The woman looks shocked as Nightcrawler appears. "Please don't kill me. I have a son to raise", she cries. Nightcrawler smiles. "Don't worry miss. I'm here to help you. Do not be afraid," he says. The woman seems pleased and tries to hug him but Nightcrawler disappears. She looks in horror as her baby has also vanished. (scene fades out)

Scene 5: Back at the mansion, Logan and Prof. Page are in Cerebros chamber. Page puts the contraption on and sees Nightcrawler killing innocent people and kidnapping a baby. He then sees his eyes glowing red. "This isn't good Logan" says Page. "What's wrong with him?" asks Logan. "I think he is under a spell." Logan looks stunned. "Who could of done this?" A flash then comes from Cerebro and Page falls down. "Professor are you ok?" asks Logan concerned for him. "Unghh, I'm ok Logan," Page says as he gets back up. "I know who did this. His name is Eric Magnus, but now he is known as MAGNETO." "So you know this fool?" says Logan. "Indeed I do. Eric and I were classmates and friends. But one day, that all changed when he killed my wife. We have been fighting ever since. I have managed to defeat his advances but with my health the way it is, I feel that I may not be able to defeat him." Page looks down as he is still in some pain. "Don't you worry Professor. I'll put an end to his evil ways." Logan begins to head out but Page stops him. "Wait Logan! He isn't your average mutant.” “Neither am I!” Logan growls. “Yes, but he is the one mutant you can’t stop. He has the power of magnetism, and he has your brother under his control, so he wont hesitate to use him to kill you." Logan extends his claws. "Dont worry bub. I wont kill my brother. But I gotta take him out!" Logan then leaves the mansion. Page seems concerned.

Scene 6: Logan arrives to see a building begin to crumble. The young child that Nightcrawler kidnapped is right there. Logan quickly runs and saves the baby just in time. He hands him back to his mother and she thanks him. "Good job brother", says Nightcrawler as he appears in the background. Logan turns around. "James, what's happened to you?" he asks looking surprised. Nightcrawler laughs. "Let's just say he is under my control,” says a descending Magneto. "YOU! I figured you were up to this. Now I will kill you and save my brother" he says as he extends his claws. He runs towards Magneto but Nightcrawler appears and hits Logan in the face. Nightcrawler then jumps on Logan and tries to slice his throat. But Magneto hits him with a wave that drops him to the floor. Nightcrawler looks stunned. "You idiot! He is not yours to kill. He is mine," he screams. "Shut up you pathetic mutant," says Magneto as he hits him with another wave that sends him into a wall. Nightcrawler is motionless. "NOOO!" screams Logan. He goes to his brothers side. "James, I’m sorry." "It’s ok brother. I'll be all right" Nightcrawler begins to lose consciousness as Magneto is shown laughing wickedly. “Now you die, bastard!” Logan growls at Magneto, pulling out a gun. But Magneto then disappers. Logan looks on with a mean face. "Don't die on me James. I'll save you,” he says as he puts him on his bike. He then heads to the mansion.

Scene 7: Logan arrives at the mansion carrying his brother on his back. "Professorrrr! Help mee!!!" he screams. Page then arrives in the hallway and sees Nightcrawler is barely alive. "Take him into the lab Logan," says Page. They go to the lab and the doctors along with Page try to save Nightcrawlers life. Logan is shown pacing outside. The lab doors open and Valerie Grey appears. "How is he Red?" asks Logan. "He's doing fine. He just has some cuts and bruises. You can go see him if you want." "Thanks Red," he says as he hugs her and enters the lab. Valerie looks pleased. Logan enters the lab and goes to see how his brother is doing. "Hey bub, how you feeling?" Nightcrawler turns towards Logan. "I feel like I just wrestled with a truck, and got pinned. What happened?" he says. "You were under a spell. But I saved you." Nightcrawler smiles. "Thanks brother, I owe you one." "No need to thank me. That's what friends are for." They both smile and shake hands. Logan feels relieved that his brother is safe and alive.

Scene 8: In another part of the world, we see Magneto in his throne room. "I see the evil rat has survived,” says the sorceress named Edea. "Indeed he has my love. Damn you Dallas! Why must you always get in my way?" he screams. "Relax," says Edea, walking over to a table. "I have found a tool for you." On the table we see the lifeless body of Sabertooth, she puts a hand on his head, and he sits up. "Where am I?" "You're among friends," Edea says. "I have no friends," he growls in reply. "Then you have allies," says Magneto, floating over. "My lovely wife has saved you, from that cowardly Wolverine's attack on you, and now you will repay that debt by spilling his blood." "I will exterminate that punk! Where is he?"” yells SABRETOOTH. "Silence Creed, you'll get your chance in due time,” says Magneto. Sabretooth moans and grinds his teeth. A young woman is shown in the background chained to a wall, but we can't see her face. "Don't you dare hurt my son", she says under her breath. The episode ends with the three villians looking at a picture of Logan and Nightcrawler on the table and Magneto making an evil grin.
