(Warning, this episode contains acts of gore & violence.)

Scene 1: Logan lunges at the dragon and moves to slash at it, but jumps to the side to stand in the way of Natalie. “Run!”, he says. But it is too late as the dragon swats him down with it’s tail and rears it head to breath fire. (Scene fades out)

Opening Credits

Scene 2: The dragon starts to emit fire from it’s mouth. But out of nowhere, something hits him in the eye and explodes. The mighty beast lets out a shriek. Logan looks over, and sees Gambit. He stands with a smirk on his face, and more cards, waiting to be thrown, in his hands. “Glad to see me?” ”Remy? What are you doin' here?” “The Professor sent me. He knew you’d need me to save your hide.” “Well thanks, but can ya' do me one favor?” “And what’s that mon ami?” “Brag about saving me, after we escape!” yells Logan, as he grabs Natalie and runs through a horde of trees just missing getting scorched by the dragon’s next wave of breath. He runs to a handball court and hides behind a wall (which is barely enough to keep the dragon from seeing them, being it is actually the same height). Gambit runs over, and says, “What now? This is your mission!” Logan quickly glances around. In the distance, we see the dragon start ripping fences down to get at them. “Distract it!” he demands as he is shown running to one side. Gambit runs to the beast, and ignites a few cards. He tosses several at the beast keeping it from tearing through a fence and goring him. Meanwhile, Wolverine rips apart another fence, and climbs up a tree behind it. “Gambit, get back over here!” Gambit comes over, and the beast has soon knocked the last fence down. (So much for them eh?) “I’m gonna knock branches on it, get her out of here!” “You are quicker, beside I can take the whole down.” Wolverine jumps down and goes over to Natalie. “That’s right Logan, save the girl. And you’re on your way to givin’ up that attitude.” Gambit places both hands on the tree trunk, and the beast pops it’s head at Gambit. Wolverine slashes at the wall, and the dragon is distracted. It breaths fire, but Logan grabs Natalie and ducks to the other side of the wall. The base of the tree explodes, and the top of it falls on the beast’s head. ( THAT'S got to hurt!) Wolverine rips one more whole in the fence and makes an escape.

Scene 3: Logan and Natalie are back at her house sitting on the stoop exhausted. “Are you OK?” “Yes, thanks to you again.” Logan smiles back. “Why do you keep saving me?” “Cause we’re friends.” Natalie smiles back. Gambit walks over to meet them. “Have no fear, Gambit has returned.” “That happens to be what we were afraid of,” Logan jokes. “So we escaped from it. Was that your big plan?” “No, we needed to regroup and thinka’ somethin.” “Better think fast, cause I’m running our of cards,” Gambit says, taking out and looking at the few cards he has left. “Maybe it’s time to do some shopping.” Gambit nods and walks away. “Get whatever you think is helpful. I ‘ll think of something.”

Scene 4: Crystal and Paul are in her room at the cave and are kissing. A knock on the door is heard. “Enter,” she says. Shelter enters, and knells. “I bring news.” “It better be good news this time!” “They live.” “What?” “His wife, and her new protector, they got away.” “I thought the beast would have killed them.” Crystal says, shocked, but glad. “For once as of late you bring good news . . . now Bergen.” Shelter leaves, and Paul hugs her. “Yes, I know what to do,” she says to herself. She hugs him back, and again they kiss. (Scene fades)

Scene 5: “Is there anything to stop that thing?” Logan reaches over and takes her hand. “Don’t worry darlin’. Me and Gambit have faced worse things.” “What a lousy week,” she says. “Things just keep falling apart . . . except you. She leans her head on his shoulder. He puts an arm around her and she moves. She puts an arm on his chest. “You’re hurt!” “It’s just a scratch.” “Still, we should take a look. Come inside.

Scene 6: Gambit walks into a hardware store. He looks around. “Not much I can use here.” But his expression turns from disappointment to surprise when he sees chains on sale. He takes a few links off, in small pieces, rather then one big chain. He then looks around some more. Then he wheels his cart with all his stuff, mainly metal sheets, up to the front of the store.

Scene 7: Crystal stands looking at Paul. “Necto, verato, mocktock”, she says, then grabs him and kisses him. He begins to shine and falls on the floor knelling. “Now, you have the strength of 100 men. Go find Shelter, it is time.” (Scene fades as Paul leaves the cave.)

Scene 8: Logan is sitting on a couch and Natalie applies a bandage to his chest. “There,” she says. “Thanks,” he says staring into her eyes. She stares back, and he leans over and kisses her. She leans back and he rolls her on top of him. He has both hands on her face He moves one down her back, and the other through her hair to the back of her head. She puts one hand on his chest, and the other on his cheek. They kiss for another moment, then she pulls away. “I’m sorry, this is . . .” she sits up, and so does he. “It’s ok,” Logan says and puts an arm around her. “Logan, I . . .” she begins. “Natalie, I care about you, alot. I understand that this can’t be.” “Not that,” she says “There’s something I want to tell you, “I have only had love for one man, but now I feel for you as well. But, it’s just . . .” “To soon,” he answers for her.” There is a knock at the door. They look out the window and see Gambit. Natalie opens the door. They see he has a few bags of supplies. “Think you got enough there Cajun?” Gambit looks at them, and notices the messed up hair, and that Natalie's top blouse button is undone, but he says nothing. “Do you have a car?” he asks instead. “Yeah, why?” “I have a few ideas.” “A vehicle, won’t be necessary. It may be faster, but I’ll better track the dragon on foot, remember.” So do I, I’ll be right back. You both wait here.”

Scene 9: Logan returns to the 24 hour store. “Hey, it’s you,” says the clerk. “Yeah, and I’m calling in a return on that favor.” “Whatever you need.” “I’m sure you’ve heard about this beast roaming around town.” “Don’t tell me you’re going after that thing?” “That I am. But I need a favor to ensure my success.”

Scene 10: Gambit & Natalie are talking. “You want a drink,” she asks. “Sure,” he says. “What would you like,” she says walking over to the fridge. “We got apple juice, orange juice, milk, soda, and water.” “No Tequila?” “What?” “Oh, I’m just kidding, . . . Water is great.” He looks around at some pictures.” He picks up one with her, Paul, a boy, and a girl. Natalie walks in, “That’s my family.” “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to snoop.” “No, it’s OK. I put pictures out so people can see.” She points at Paul, “That’s my husband Paul and our children, Adam & Sarah. Of course they’re older now. That was 2 years ago.” “You have a beautiful family.” “Thanks. I miss them.” “Where are they?” “The kids, are staying with my parents. Which is probably better with that thing running around.” “I suppose that’s true.” “So, um, what’s all this stuff got to do with stopping the dragon?” “Well my mutant power is I can blow things up. If I can get the dragon in a trap, . . . though I hear dragons are very smart creatures.” There is another knock at the door, and this time it is Logan returned. “I heard your plan Cajun. Very good.” “How did you know?” Natalie asks. “This boy has ears like a bat,” Gambit jokes. “Get the stuff ready, and make a trap in the park. Try near where we were, no need for more destruction if we can help it.” “And what are you gonna do?” “Lure it to the trap.” “That’s insane,” cries Gambit. “Don’t do it, says Natalie. “No can do. Someone has to do it.” He puts a hand on Natalie’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, I will be fine.” “Then that leaves us to make the trap,” she says. “No way, chere.” He’s right, it’s to dangerous. You wait here.” “I can’t do nothing while that dragon thing is rampaging my town. Besides, if I drive him there, the trap will be set up quicker.” “OK, but when it’s doneyou come right back here, OK?”

Scene 11: Wolverine is running down the street, followed by an angry dragon. It spews out fire every once and a while, but he easily dodges to the side. Pretty soon he has it lured into the park. Logan heads for the play ground, and hides by the monkey bars. “This better work, . . . or I’m a dead man.” The dragon lunges for him, not caring about the bars. They deflect the mighty beast, but take alot of damage, and can’t hold out for long. Logan quickly climbs up the monkey bars, and the dragon lunges again. This time Wolverine is in position, and shoots out the dragon’s eyes. The dragon goes into a fit of rage, and breaks through the bars. Logan falls, but quickly gets up and flees. The dragon again chases Logan, using senses just like his to keep up. The dragon is on top of Gambits trap, sheets of metal laid out a cross the ground, and molded into one. It smells another human, but pays no heed, its mind is solely focused on the one who hurt it. Wolverine turns to face the beast. “Do it!” demands Logan. “Now!” “Get out off there,” Gambit yells, in concern for his friend and places his hands on the metal. But the beast hears his voice and simply swats with his tail at Gambit and throws him into a fence, then again on his legs with his tail. Gambit hits the ground face first. He looks unconscious and Wolverine does not wait to see if the dragon will further attack and charges the dragon. The beast hears and turns to meet him. He extracts his claws, and dodges to the side. The dragon again turns, always keeping it’’s head between itself and Wolverine. A wise move, but Wolverine has a wiser move of his own. He moves in a zigzag, positioning himself a bit closer to the dragon with each movement. However, the beast catches on and let’s out it’s deadly breath. (scene fades as the dragon is about to emit his fireball)

Scene 12: The dragon is breathing fire profusely, but Logan is to close to its body, and slides underneath. Wolverine takes a bit of fire on his back, but it is superficial. He turns over to slash at its belly, and it roars in agony. The dragon then moves to stomp him, but he again flees out of harms way. He runs to it’s rear, and it tries to turn around to get to him, but he stays behind it. Then out of nowhere, it knocks him down with it’s tail. The beast goes to bash Wolverine into the ground, but as the tail comes down, he puts his claws in its way. The dragon lets out a shriek, and flails wildly to get him off. But the impact was too hard and the claws are too deeply imbedded. Gambit comes too, and crawls over to the metal sheet, placing a hand on it. Both Wolverine and the dragon hear Gambit’s power charging, but only Wolverine understand what it means. He retracts his claws, and is sent flying onto a fence. BOOM! The sheets explode, and the dragon and Gambit are knocked down. Logan jumps down from the fence, and looks at the humongous beast quivering on the ground. He extracts his claws, and in the blink of an eye, slashes it. Blood squirts out, some hitting the camera, and the battle is over. He moves over to Gambit, and picks him up. “Nice work, Dragon’s Bane.” “Nothin’ to it,” replies a nonchalant Wolverine. “I never felt my own explosions before. Boy do I feel like crap.” “At least you don’t look as bad him!” Logan jokes and they look at the dragon’s carcass and share a laugh. “Don’t worry Cajun, I won’t tell a soul.” “Thanks.” Gambit replies, his voice fading, and passes out. (scene fades)

Scene 13: Back at Natalie’s house, Gambit wakes up. Both she and Logan are sitting there. “Feel better?” asks Logan. “Do you need anything?” asks Natalie. “No, I’m fine. Sleep was all I need, but thanks chere.” “Yeah, he’s fine,” jokes Logan. “Still, I’d feel better if you had a glass of water at least. You must be thirsty after that fight,” Natalie says walking to the kitchen. As soon as she is gone, Gambit in a low voice asks a question. “Why do you always pick the wrong women, they’re always evil or married.” “Shut up.” “I see I was wrong, you still have your attitude.” Natalie walks back in with a glass. Gambit drinks part of it, then gets up. “Thanks you for your hospitality, but I cannot stay.” I understand, you have a job to do. Thanks for coming.” “Logan, are you ready to go home?” Gambit says moving to the door. They move outside, and Logan says, “Not yet! I have a few things to finish up here. Gambit looks to the house, knowing what he means. “Good luck.” “Take my bike,” says Logan. “You’ll find it down the block. “You lending me your bike?!” “Your in no condition to walk home. Now scram!” Logan goes back inside. “So, your friend is gone.” “Yeah, but don’t worry, he’ll be fine.” All of a sudden there is a knock at the door. “Probably Gambit. Doesn’t know how to ride a bike.” He opens the door, and Paul punches him in the face. Wolverine falls down, but kicks out his legs from under him. Paul gets back up. “Paul, what is wrong with you?” cries Natalie. “What are you doing?” But he ignores her, and keeps coming after Logan. Wolverine extracts his claws on one hand, and grabs at Paul with the other. But Paul is ready for him, and deflects the move. “When I am done with him, I’m coming for you. I have the strength of a god! I cannot be stopped.” Wolverine delivers a back hand to Paul’s face with his claws, knocking him out cold leaving a red mark, but no serious damage. “What is going on here?” “I’m not sure, but I have an idea how to find out.” “How?” “I’ll tell you when I come back.” “I’m coming with you!” Logan looks at Paul, “Good point, he might come to.”

Scene 14: Wolverine follows the scent from Paul back to a cave. They enter, and Logan holds Natalie back. “I smell trouble,” says Logan as he extracts his claws. A score of men rush out charging at them, and a few enter behind them as well. They brawl and Wolverine is shown knocking out as many as he can quickly, but one grabs Natalie. Logan charges, but is stopped by 2 others. He drops into a roll, and delivers some adamantium claws into each of their thighs. (OUCH!) They fall down screaming in pain. Natalie simply moves to the side, and drops the man on the floor then kicks him in the face. “If Paul was smart, he would have told his new friends I studied Judo.” Logan, amazed at Natalie, can only smirk. They walk into the back of the cave, where Crystal is standing. “Ah, welcome friends.” “I ain’t your friend lady!” “Please Logan, I assure you we are. I only want what’s good for you. Both of you” “Who are you,” asks Natalie. “What do you want?” “Want?” replies Crystal. “I want what everyone does. Love and money.” “So you decided to steal my husband?” Natalie moves closer to her. But with a wave of Crystals hand, she is grabbed by ropes and tied to a wall. “Let her go!” “Actually, I have no need to keep her. It’s you I want.” “Get in line witch, someone always want my bones.” “Well, your a man of great talent. You can be of much help to my organization. But first, an initiation test.” A door opens and out steps Shelter. “Not again,” Logan mumbles. “Face me Wolverine. This time I know your tricks, and am prepared.” They fight, single combat, with both pulling off great feats knowing eachother from the 2 previous fights. They block most of the moves and whatever is not blocked, they use their powers to shrug off. It appears Shelter has the advantage, but slowly Logan moves to a wall. Wolverine jumps over his opponent, and slams him into a wall. He quickly turns him around, and punches him in the face. “Well done,” says Crystal. “I will not serve you. I serve no one.” “Oh, but you will,” she says moving behind him. He turns around and she blows powder in his face. “He falls down on his knees, and grabs his eyes. “Now my dear Logan, we are friends. So tell me, who do you serve?” He looks up and slowly gives his answer. “I, serve, you, . . . . . . . in your dreams!” “No!” she screams. “You are under my spell, you must serve me!” “Sorry lady, but it doesn’t work in the face of true love!” She pushes him back. “If you do want to be my friend, then you are my enemy!” she says and Logan flies into a wall. He turns around, and she throws a lightning bolt at him. He ducks and charges at her. She quickly pulls an orb out, and drops it before him. Flames rise up from the floor and he dodges aside. He lands near a table and grabs a vase. He tosses it at her, but she swats it aside and laughs wickedly. He grabs a knife, and again charges at her. He jumps the flames and she sends another bolt of lightning his way. He moves out of the way,and sends the knife flying at her. She again deflects his missile attack, but this time he is close and smacks her. She falls and Logan grabs her by the shirt, and pulls her up. “Now, you will undo the spell,on her husband, and quit this crime ring.” “I could,” the witch replies, “But I’m not going to.” “Oh, you will,” Logan says, extracting his claws near her face. “Come now, is that really what you want?” He lowers his hand, but gives no answer, just a cold stare. “Admit it, you want it this way. She will get over him and be with you. We’ll all be happy.” “I’ll ask you one more time lady!” “And I will again refuse! I have won!” Crystal exclaims, but she is wrong. Blood pours out of the 3 gapping punctures that run through her gut and out her back when Wolverine removes his dripping red claws. He let’s go of her,and she falls dead. (fade out)

Scene 15: Logan and Natalie stand on a cliff over looking the beach. “Tell me. something Logan. How is it that she wasn’t able to take you too?” “Maybe because I love you.” Natalie looks shocked. “That’s what I wanna say. Truth is, it did affect me, but my healing factor got rid of it.” He shrugs and adds, “Immediately.” “You saved my life, and my marriage. I can never thank you enough.” “You don’t have to.” Natalie takes an amulet off her neck. It is a blue stone ringed in gold. She takes it off a d gives it to him. “I want you to have this, to remember me by.” “I would not forget you.” “Then as a thank you.” He smiles, then she gives him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. And she walks away. “Natalie,” he says. She turns back. “Don’t say goodbye. Remember me, and we won’t be apart.” He nods. “And if you’re ever in town, you come visit.” “Will do.” She turns and walks away. He stares for a while, holding the amulet, then puts it around his neck. “If only we had met under different circumstances, but . . .” He stops talking, and walks away. All of a sudden, he gets a sickening pain in his gut. “What’s happening?” Then somewhere, we see Apocalypse awakening from his long slumber.
