Xtreme Wolveine Season 1 Episode 2: ”Rampage”

Scene 1: In a busy office building in midtown Manhattan, a young man is working at his desk. The camera pans to show that his name is Peter Gilmur. (I like to say that this is NOT me in this episode) The phone rings. “Peter Gilmur’s office”, says his secretary. On the other line is Peter’s darling wife Jamie. “Mr. Gilmur, you’re wife is on the phone. I’ll transfer the call to you.” Peter picks up the phone. “Peter Gilmur here.” “Hey honey, what time will you be home?” Asks Jamie. “I’ll be home in an hour. Just got some paperwork to finish. I love you.” “I love you too. *kiss*” Gilmur hangs up and finishes up his work. He then turns off his office lights and says goodbye to his secretary. He heads towards the subway station. A train is heard entering the station, but Gilmur misses it by a minute. “Oh that’s just great!” he says. He then checks his watch. It is 9:30 pm in the evening. He walks up and down the platform. Nobody is on the platform with him. Suddenly, two men approach him and kidnap him. A voice of an old man laughing is heard.

Opening Credits

Scene 2: Logan is in his cabin in the valley changing his clothes which are drenched in blood. He puts on a clean blue shirt when a holographic image is shown behind him. “Well done Logan. I’m very impressed.” says the mysterious image. “Who are you and how do you know my name?” he says surprisingly. “Well I’ve heard a lot about you. Let me introduce myself. My name is Professor Dallas Page. I am the headmaster at the Institute for Special Mutants in Westchester. I want you to come with me to my mansion. We have some things I want to discuss with you.” (This is all a retelling of the end of Episode 1 in case you’re lost) Logan puts on his jacket and heads out on his motorbike.

Scene 3: Logan arrives at the mansion. He goes to the front door and rings the bell. A young man with red glasses answers the door. “Oh hi there. You must be here to see the Professor.” he says. “Yes I am.” Says Logan. “This way sir.” Logan follows the young man to Professor Page’s office. They enter the office. “Ahhh, Logan. So glad you could make it. Please sit down.” Logan sits down by Page’s desk. “So what’s this all about? Why am I here?” he asks. “Well Logan, I saw what you did to Vince McManus and I was very impressed. I think you would make a great asset to my institute.” He looks out the window as he rolls his wheelchair towards Logan. “But, I need your help. You see hundreds of innocent people are being killed everyday. My students can’t kill them all. That’s why I asked you to come here. What I’m asking of you is if you help me kill all these demonic souls that are killing these innocent people, I can help you find your dead wife Yuriko and restore your soul back to life.” Logan seems shocked by this news. “Are you serious? All I have to do is kill all these “demonic souls” to hell and I get my wife back and my soul?” “That’s what I’m asking.” says Page. Logan thinks it over. “Hmm. You got yourself a deal.” Page smiles. Two other men enter. One with blue fur over his whole body. “Ahh Logan, let me introduce you to some of my elite students. This here is Scott Summers aka Cyclops. Next to him is the Cajun thief Gambit. And beside him is Dr. Hank McCoy aka Beast.” “Pleased to meet you Logan.” says Beast. “These 3 will help you along the way.” Logan gets up. “I don’t need any help bub. I got these.” he says as he extends his claws. “Hmmm impressive. Adamantium claws”, says an incoming Valerie Grey. “Indeed they are darlin’.” Page then continues. “Logan, there has been reports of a kidnapping of a highly respected businessman by a man called “THE LIZARD KING.” He is very strong and powerful. I want you and my X-men to stop him before he kills him.” “Come with us Logan”, says Cyclops. Logan gets angry. “I said I DON’T NEED YOUR HELP!” He leaves the mansion. “Follow him slowly Scott”, says Page. Scene fades out as the 3 X-Men leave.

Scene 4: At the headquarters of the evil Lizard King, the henchmen take Peter Gilmur into the Lizard King’s office. They sit him down in a chair. The chair behind the desk swivels and an old man is shown. He is Greg Sutton, otherwise known as The LIZARD KING. Gilmour looks like he’s seen a ghost (or pissed himself.) “YOU! I should have known. I thought you died in the fire!” says Gilmour. “Heh heh heh. You THOUGHT I died but I am immortal.” says Sutton. “Well I guess I’ll have to finish you off myself.” He lunges towards Sutton, but his henchmen tackle him to the floor. Sutton shakes his head. “Don’t try to struggle out. My henchmen are well-trained. I have an offer for you. I want you to join our gang.” Gilmur looks up and laughs. “HA! Join you? I’ll never join your gang you bastard!” “I think you should try again.” Just then, a picture of Gilmur’s wife and son are shown on his wall screen. “Jamie! Jonathan! What have you done you freak?” “Well let’s just say they are a little tied up at the moment. You see Peter, if you don’t join my gang, then I will have no choice to kill your precious family.” He laughs as Gilmur struggles to break free from the henchmen’s clutches.

Scene 5 (I envision Born to be Wild playing here): Logan is on his bike driving along the highway towards The Lizard King’s mansion. Professor Page’s holographic picture comes up in front of him. “Logan, the hideout is just ahead. Be careful.” “Don’t worry about me I’ll be ok”, says Logan. He approaches the mansion which is heavily guarded. The X-Men then arrive in the Blackbird. “Hey I thought I said I didn’t need any help”, says Logan. “Oh contraire mon frere” says Gambit. “How do you expect to get past all those guards?” Logan thinks. “I got a plan. Follow me” says Cyclops. He blasts open the gates with his laser-beam goggles and they kill all the guards with ease. “Pshh. That was easy,” says Logan sarcastically. The 4 heroes enter the mansion.

Scene 6: Back in Greg Sutton’s office, Peter Gilmur is still struggling to break free of the henchmen’s clutches. “Don’t hurt yourself to hard now Peter. It would be a pity to have you hurt before I kill you.” “You bastard! You’ll pay dearly for this.” He then spits at Sutton’s face. Sutton is very mad. “You shouldn’t have done that” he says. He then transforms himself into the evil Lizard King. Gilmur is horrified and shaking. Sutton flings Peter with his tail into a wall and then picks him up and squeezes him tightly (almost like a bear hug). Gilmur is screaming in obvious pain. “Shhh. Don’t scream. It will only make it worse for you,” says Sutton laughing. Scene fades as Gilmur is shown in tremendous pain.

Scene 7: Logan and the X-Men enter the mansion. They then hear a scream from down the hall. “In here,” says Cyclops. Logan kicks the door in and the henchmen attack. Cyclops blasts one of the henchmen right out the window, while Gambit and Beast take care of the other 2 guards. Logan approaches the Lizard King who drops Gilmur like a bowling ball. “Who are you?” he asks. “I am WOLVERINE!” says Logan as he extends his adamantium claws. “Well whoever you are, you will pay for breaking into my mansion.” Logan smiles and lunges towards Sutton. He manages to slash Sutton in the chest. Some blood is shown dripping from Sutton’s chest. “Arrrgh,” screams an angry Lizard King. He takes his tail and whips Logan into the wall and then wraps him up. Logan is in some pain. “Logan hang on!” says Beast. He goes to help Logan but the Lizard king flings him out the window. (Whoa!) Gambit disposes of the henchmen and charges a card from his deck and throws it at Sutton. But Sutton manages to catch it in mid-air and throws it back at Gambit knocking him out the door. Cyclops then gets up and blasts Sutton’s tail off. Sutton screams in tremendous pain and drops Logan on the floor. Logan gets back up and plunges his claws directly into Sutton’s chest killing him instantly. Sutton falls down and his soul is sucked back to hell. A tattoo of a small lizard is shown fading off of Logan’s lower body. “Everyone ok?” asks Cyclops. “Yeah we’re ok,” says Gambit and Beast. “What about you Logan?” “Never been better,” he says as he shows a scratch on his body slowly healing. The 3 X-Men are shown in amazement. They then all leave the mansion.

Scene 8: Back at Professor Page’s mansion, the X-Men and Logan are in Page’s office. Page acknowledges Logan and his X-Men for a job well done. “Good job Logan. Your first damned soul has been vanquished.” “All in a days work sir. Although I couldn’t have done it without the help of the 3 of you,” he says as he turns towards the X-Men. “Anytime you need help, we’ll be here for you,” says Cyclops. Logan nods his head in acknowledgement. Suddenly, a sound goes off inside the mansion. “What the?!” says Page. He rushes to Cerebro (a mysterious contraption that can extend psychic powers, by time and distance). He puts the contraption on and sees a large alien spacecraft approaching the Earth’s solar system. “Oh no. This is bad. Really bad,” says a concerned Page. The episode ends with a picture of the alien spaceship on Page’s screen as it approaches Earth.
