XTreme Wolverine Season 1 Episode 8: ” Static Shock”

A voice cries out: Previously on XTremeWolverine, the following clips are shown from “Brother vs. Brother.”

1- Nightcrawlers origin.

2- Logan has a violent dream where he sees his brother James (aka NIGHTCRAWLER) being killed by a mysterious man in red.

3- Page tells Logan about Magneto.

4- Professor Page tells Logan that Nightcrawler is under a spell by Magneto.

5- Magneto lays out his plan to gain Logan's powers.  

6- Sabertooth sits up, alive and well.

Scene 1: In a deep, dark part of the world, a castle floats on top of a mountain high in the sky. This is the home of the master of magnetism known as MAGNETO. Inside his throne room, is the evil sorceress and wife of Magneto named Edea and the evil mutant named SABRETOOTH. "OOO, what's taking him so long? I'm becoming inpatient," screams Sabretooth. "Silence Creed. He'll be here." says Edea. They both wait patiently for Magneto to arrive. Suddenly, a dark figure appears out of the darkness. "Waiting long?" asks Magneto. "About time!" screams Sabretooth. "I'm terribly sorry Creed but I had to take care of some 'business'. Let's get this meeting started shall we?" They all sit down at the table. "Sir, what are we goign to do about the mutant who can teleport?" asks Edea. Magneto stops to think. Creed then chimes in. "Let me go and kill him boss." Edea then turns to Creed. "You idiot! Remeber what happened last time? You should be lucky that I was able to revive you." Sabretooth growls at her. "Enough! I have a plan," says Magneto in a mean voice. "We'll lure the telliporter into a trap. Then, we'll kidnap him and hold him for ransom so when his precious brother arrives to save him, we'll trap him and take away his powers making him our slave forever." He begins to laugh wickedly as Edea and Sabretooth are shown laughing as well.  

Opening Credits  

Scene 2: (Enter Sandman by Metallica is playing on a radio nearby) At the mansion, Logan and Nightcrawler are playing a game of basketball. It is a really good game. Nightcrawler scores a basket and calls game point. Logan takes the ball out and drives to the hoop. But Nightcrawler suddenly disappears. Logan looks schoked at first, but smiles. "Heh-heh. This is too easy." He goes for a slam dunk but NIghtcrawler appears out of nowhere and knocks the ball away. "Hey now fair!", screams Logan obviously pissed off. Nightcrawler grins. "Sorry brother. I'm still trying to learn my new powers." They both laugh. They finish the game (which Nightcrawler wins) and head to get a drink. "Hmmm. Looks like we need more beer," says Logan as he shakes the can. "I'll go get some." "No James, stay here. I don't want you to cause any more chaos then you already have." Nightcrawler looks at Logan. "Don't worry about me brother. I can take care of myself." Nightcrawler then gets his coat and leaves the mansion. Logan is shown with a deep concern for his brothers safety.

Scene 3: Back at Magneto's lair, Magneto is puttign his plan into motion. "Ok, let's review the plan," he says. The 3 mutants are still at the table. "The problem we have here is that if we go straight for him, his brother will come and save him. BUT, if we can lure him into our trap, we can kidnap him and hold him for ransom so when his brother comes, we can trap him and take away all of his power making him our slave forever." "Brilliant my lord!" says Edea with a smile. "I'll send Creed and some guards down now." Creed gets up and heads out but is stopped by Magneto. "Don't fail me Creed. Die, and Edea won't be bringing you back to life." Creed nods and heads out. A young woman who is shackled to the wall is shown (although her face cant be seen). Magneto goes over to her. "Soon your precious son will be mine once again and you will witness his death." He begins to laugh. "You bastard, don't you dare hurt my son. As soon as I get free, I will kill you." She tries to break free but Magneto slaps her in the face. The camera shows a young woman in blue paint crying. (scene fades out)

Scene 4: On the streets of Manhattan, people are shown walking and doing their everyday things. Traffic is moving slowly. Nightcrawler is shown walking down the street in a brown trenchcoat.  People pass him by and look in awe, but Nightcrawler keeps on walking. He comes to a liquor store on the corner and enters. He goes to the back and buys a 6-pack of beer. (I’d say which beer he bought but I’m not getting paid) He heads to the cashier. "Can I see some ID", says the clerk. "Umm, sorry. I guess I left it in my other coat", says Nightcrawler. "Well, I'll have to take it back." The clerk begins to grab the beer but Nightcrawler gives him a grin and vanishes. The clerk looks like hes just seen a ghost. (or is a dummy) The sound of the bells on the door are heard.

Scene 5: Nightcrawler is shown heading back to the mansion when he hears a sound coming from the bushes. He's startled at first and keeps on walking. He then hears the sound again and stops to check it out. He looks in the bush and sees nothing. Sabretooth comes from behind and knocks him to the ground. "You're coming with me runt!" he says. "Not this time," says Nightcrawler as he goes into a fighting pose. Out of no where, some hentchmen of Magneto open fire on him. Nightcrawler teleports away with ease but as he appears, Sabretooth slashes him down. Nightcrawler is unconscious but still alive. Creed picks him up and puts him in a helicopter. But before he leaves, he leaves a note on the floor near the mansion.

Scene 6: At the mansion, Logan is in his room meditating. He is wearing a white shirt and boxer shorts. A knock is heard on the door. "Come in." Professor Page enters the room. "Sorry to bother you Logan. I didnt know you were meditating." "It's ok Professor. I was just finishing up." Page looks down. "What's wrong Professor?" asks Logan. "Logan, I fear your brother is in grave danger. Magneto has captured him." Logan looks shocked. "WHAT?!" he screams. "Yes, it's true. Cyclops found this note outside the mansion." He gives the note to Logan. The note reads: "If you want to see your precious brother alive, come to my castle, ALONE!" Logan crumbles the paper and throws it away. "That bastard!" he yells. "Be careful Logan. It may be a trap. Let me and my X-men go with you." "No bub. This is something I have to do on my own." Logan then leaves the mansion as Page looks concerned.

Scene 7: At the lair, Nightcrawler is in the dungeon room. Sabretooth comes in and begins to laugh wickeldy. "Heh-heh. Look at you. You're a pathetic excuse for a mutant. Just like your punk brother. I can't wait till he shows up so my master can take away his precious gift that he has." Nightcrawler struggles to his feet. "What are you talking about?" Creed moves closer to the cell. "Well if you must know, my master has set up a plan to extract all of his powers making him our slave." Nightcrawler looks shocked. "WHAT?! You cant do that!" "And why not?" asks Sabretooth. "Because if you do, he won't be responsible for what he does." He tries to teleport out but is electricuted by the jail cell. "HA! You fool! That cell has been made so that not even you can break free. There's no way out for you OR your brother." He begins to laugh even more than before as the scene fades with Nightcrawler looking worried for his brothers safety.

Scene 8: Logan is on his bike riding up the mountain to Magneto's lair. Professor Page is behind him but Logan doesn't realize it just yet. He enters the lair and goes to the dungeon room where his brother is imprisoned. "James! You ok?" he asks. "Logan! I'm so glad you came. Get me out of here." Logan extracts his claws. He goes to slash the cell door, but Nightcrawler stops him. "Wait! The cell is electrified." Logan looks in awe. "You shouldnt have come here runt!",says an approaching Sabretooth. Logan turns around. "So I see that you didn’t die after all. Guess I'll have to finish you of for good." He goes to slash Sabretooth but Nightcrawler stops him. "LOGAN ITS A TRAP!" he screams. But his plea is to no avail as a giant cage is dropped on top of Logan. Logan begins to scream as he tries to slash the cage. Magneto and Edea appear. "Ahh, Logan I see you've got my message. Sorry to tell you that it was all a set up. You fell directly into my trap." Logan again tries to break free but to no avail. "Fool! You cant escape. I made this cage for you, out of adamantium. Now the time has arrived. Finally I will have your power and I will become immortal and you will become my slave forever!" Magneto laughs wickeldy as Logan seems worried. Professor Page is shown hiding in the background near the young woman and is shown concerned.

Scene 9: We shift to a lab in Magneto's lair. Logan is still inside the cage trying to break free. "Let me out so I can send you to hell" he screams. Sabretooth goes to confornt him but Magneto stops him. "Not now Creed. Once this is over, you can do whatever you want to him." Sabretooth growls. Logan smiles. "HA! What a shame. I’d love to finish you off." Just in an instant Magneto raises his hand and bends Logans claws back into his ribs. Logan screams in pain and falls to the ground. "Load him into the tank" says Magneto. The scientists load Logan into a large tank filled with water. Back inside the dungeon room, Nightcrawler is shown crying. "I’m so sorry brother. I didnt mean to get you into this." he cries even more. "Be still James," says Professor Page as he enters the room. "P-Professor, how did you get here?" asks a shocked Nightcrawler. "Forget about that for now. Let me get you out of there." Page uses his mental powers on the computer, and opens the cell. "Thank you Professor. We have to hurry. Logan is in danger." "I know" They head out but the mysterious woman in blue appears. "WAIT!", she screams. Nightcrawler and Page look back. Nightcrawler looks like he’s seen a ghost. "I, I know you!" "Indeed, for you are my son.” She says, then turns to Page “I have been imprisoned for so long, but now I have been released from my bondage. Thank you." Then she hugs James. "James we have to hurry" says Page. The 3 heros leave the dungeon room and head for the lab.

Scene 10:  Back inside the lab, Logan is placed inside the tank. The scientist put a mask around his mouth so he can breath. They then begin the extraction process. "This is it! Finally I will have his powers and become immortal. Not even you Dallas can save him." He begins to laugh wickedly. Edea and Sabertooth both grin. "Levels at 25% sir," says the doctor. "Excellent. Keep going. I'll be in my throne room. Alert me when its done" "Yes my lord" The extraction sequence continues. "Levels at 45%.. wait a minute. Somethings wrong!" Edea looks at the doctor. "What do you mean somethings wrong?" The doctor is shocked at what hes looking at. "The levels seem to be falling rapidly" "How can this be?" asks a stunned Edea. Sabretooth growls. "I'd knew you'd ask that. Its impossible to extract his powers," says an entering Professor Page. Nightcrawler and his mother enter from behind. "Guards get them!" Edea screams.  The guards open fire, but Professor Page uses his powers to turn the guns back on the guards. The guards run in horror (WIMPS!) Sabretooth tries to help out, but foolishly lundges at Night Crawler. James disappears and Saber-GOOF smashes him right into the tank breaking it wide open. Water is shown spilling everywhere. Suddenly, Logan wakes up and rips off the breathing tube. He kills the guards with ease and goes for Edea. But Edea is one step ahead and blasts Logan in to a wall with a lightning blast. Logan gets back up and slashes her in the face. Edea is shown bleeding. Logan kicks her down and is about to kill her when Prof. Page interrupts. "No Logan! We need to escape." Logan looks gets up. “Fomino Etu,” shouts Edea, and then disappears. Logan heads heads to Prof. Page. "Logan don’t!", says Nightcrawler. Page looks scared but keeps hs composure. Suddenly, Nightcrawler's mom appears in front of Page and takes a slash from Logan’s claws to the chest. She falls down bleeding. "MOM!", screams Nightcrawler. James telliports behind Logan, and trips him. Page then places his hands on Logan’s head and used his mental powers to calm Logan down. "Wh-What happened?" says a stunned Logan. "You tried to kill me. But luckily I used my powers to save you." "Wow. Im so sorry Professor", says Logan as he had his head down. "It’s ok Logan." Logan then heads over to his brother who is comforting his wounded mother. "What happened James?" asks Logan. "This is my mother. You slashed her." Nightcrawler begins to cry as his head is on his mothers arm. "I’m so sorry brother I didn’t mean to do this." "It’s ok. I don’t hold it against you." They smile. "Logan, we must go. I want to get James' mom to the lab immediately." The 4 heros all leave. Edea however, makes it to the throne room. She is still bleeding from the face. "My lord, he's escaped!" says Edea with a faint voice. “I know my dear." "YOU KNOW?!" says a stunned Edea. "Yes. I doubted the extraction process wouldnt work. But dont you worry my love. Next time we meet, Logan will not be so lucky." He begins to laugh wickedly.

Scene 11: Back at the mansion, Nightcrawler is outiside the lab. The doors open and Vakerie Grey appears. "How is she doc?" he asks. "She's doing fine. Just a scratch. You can go see her now." "Thanks doc", says Nightcrawler as he hugs her. Valerie seems perplexed. He goes into the room. "Hey mom how you doing?" "Feels like I got hit by a bus," she says looking towards her son. Nightcrawler smiles and hugs his mom. Logan then enters the lab. "How is she brother?" he asks. "Fine. I want you to meet her" "Hello miss." "Call me Mystique." Logan rubs his chin. "Nice name. Sorry about what I did. I had no control over my actions." "Its ok Logan. I understand." Logan smiles. The 3 heros are shown talking as the epsidoe ends.
