Phase I, the preflight phase, of Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (SUPT) lasts for about three weeks and is purely academics for a mandatory 12 hours per day. Since I have not yet begun, I am not the best source regarding this matter. I do know that it entails going through subjects such as aerospace physiology, aerodynamics, weather, aircraft systems and limitations and any other things that might save you once you go airborne. I will learn as much as I can about the T-6A Texan II, a trainer being used to replace the T-37B Tweet as the primary trainer for SUPT.
