    On Monday, October 3rd, 1983 I was born in a hospital in the Westend of Toronto called the Woman’s College Health Sciences Centre. On that day when I was born I never expected to meet someone, so powerful, righteousness, forgiving, loving, and passionate in my life.

            When I was born, I was not breathing and I had my umbilical cord wrapped around my neck. I was soon rushed to the emergency room (ER) and there a doctor preformed artificial respiration (AR) on me, so that I could start breathing again.

            I started to breath, but the nurse in the ER told my parents that I was not going to make it. A half an hour later I was wheeled into the intensive care unit (ICU) and four hours later I was back at home.

            My second brush with death was when I ran across a four-lane street that was in front of my Junior Public School back in grade 7. I ran across the street to catch my bus everyday after school, but that day I ran across the street fearing that I would miss the bus.

            I ran across the street without looking and to my surprise, I saw an 18-wheeler coming towards me. There was no time to jump or go back, but hope for the best. The front part of the truck missed me, but the trailer did not. The trailer, which was 45’ in length, skinned my backpack to shreds and lucky enough I did not miss my bus that day.

            If it wasn’t the Grace and Love of our Lord, I realize that I wouldn’t be here

today under His wing.

I realize that I could have died in the ER without having a second chance to live and enjoy the things in life as I do today. God gave me the Breath of Life to survive in that situation. I now think twice before jay walking, because if it wasn’t for the Lords protective hand, I could have ended up dead if the 18-wheeler really did hit me.

            I owe Him my life, because he created me and everyone else on Earth unique. We were created with such excellence, precision, accuracy, and patience. God created us very patiently and he never rushed whenever he was creating you and me. We were created in the image of God. The Bible verse that comes to mind is John 3:16. “For God so loved the World, that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

            God and Jesus came into my life four years ago and I still remember how it all happened to born anew. My parents and as well my brother forced me to go come to Church, but I refused to come into the Lord’s House. One day I decided to go to Church, because just to stop my parents and my brother from brothering me.

            My brother actually brought to Fellowship and I got to know God and Jesus Christ, My Personal Savior. As I continued to come and go I started to learn the basics of Christianity. I attend Sunday Service regularly and I listened to the Sermon.

            The closest experience that I felt God’s presence was during my 1999

Kyrios Summer Camp, when we were allowed to have a period of quiet time by

ourselves. I found a nice spot on a hill and this was during the evening hours of the

day.

    I prayed intensely for along period of time. When I was doing praying, I opened

up my eyes just enough to see the Sun go behind a giant Cross in the distance. It

was a very very nice sunset scene, but the Cross was the one that stood out of all

nature. Next Page ->
