Just a Few Feet Away
After she hugged the lady in pink I reached out my hand and she turned to me. I told her how much her music meant to me and how it lifted my spirits many times over the years when I needed it. She then said in that soft, southern, voice, “Bless you darlin’.” So many times on video and in concert footage I had heard those words. This time they were for me! I then found a seat on the floor that had become vacated as someone left early. So for the second half of the program I had one of the best seats in the house for the music that stirs the soul. |
