Grandpa Solomon

 

    

     Grandpa taught Yugi and Joey most everything they know about Duel Monsters.  He gave Yugi the shattered Millennium Puzzle and first taught him about the Heart of the Cards.  Grandpa owns a game shop and is a real game master.  Grandpa's soul was stolen by Pegasus and Yugi fought to get it back.  Throughout the show.  Yugi had visions of his Grandfather telling his never to give up and showing support.  Grandpa is wise and fair.  He respects people and wants their respect to.  The most sacred thing to Solomon is friendship.

 

Japanese Name:  Sugoroko Mutou

 

Quotes - "This card was given to me by a friend, so I treasure this card as I would that friend."

 

Duelist Record - He doesn't duel anymore.  He used to be one of the best duelist in his time.

Overall importance to the Series:  7 out of 10.

     He is important to the show but it doesn't need him.  He was the reason Yugi fought in the Duelist Kingdom tournament keeping the show together.
