Mai Valentine

     Mai is a strong, powerful, and beautiful duelist.  When she wants something, nothing can stand in her way.  She was into dueling for the money and fame it could offer her.  After spending time with Yugi and friends, she learned about the heart of the cards and what friendship really is.  Her character underwent serious character development.  She likes to see the best someone can do and doesn't like it when duelists hold back.  She never does.  In her duel against Yugi, she used her sharp tongue to get him to try his best.  Mai's intentions are always good but she seems to have odd ways to express them.  Mai is dangerous enemy but a loyal friend.

Japanese Name:  Mai Kujaka

Quotes - "You promised me a good duel, now stop fooling around and get your heart in the game."

Duelist Record - She was third place in the Duelist Kingdom tournament.  She lost to Yugi, Joey, Marik, and would loose to Kaiba.  She is one of the top ten duelists.

First Appearance - Episode 3

Favorite Cards - Harpies Lady related cards.

Overall importance to the Series:  8 out of 10.

     She is greatly important to the show important to the show.  She is one of the best duelists and much of the plot revolves around her dueling career.  Later in the series (Ep. 150's), her role is really important.
