The
adventure starts out with a fifth grade boy
getting ready for his little brother's birthday party. We find out, that
the boy's name is Takuya Kanbara.
He is alerted of a message on his cell phone asking him to play a game. He
follows the directions it gives and ends up at the train station. He gets in
an elevator with another boy named Koji Minamoto. He tries to talk to him
but he does not respond. He chooses a train where he finds three other
children after they almost speed away without him. Luckily he grabs on to
the back. He sees Koji, on a train beside him. The three other kids he
meets are JP Shibiyama, Zoe Orimoto, and Tommy Himi. JP and Zoe received a
message on their cell phones, as Takuya did. Tommy, however, was bullied by
two boys and forced on the train. The four children begin to talk, but then,
all of their cell phones transform into strange hand- held devices, D-Tector
Digivices. A bit later, they realize the train they are on is not just an
ordinary train; it is a Digimon named Trailmon! They find themselves in the
digital world, confused, and being rudely greeted by a herd of Pagumon.
Trailmon tells the DigiDestineds they need to find a Spirit to get home.
Tommy becomes scared and runs across a metal beam that bridges a deep
canyon. He slips and grasps on for dear life. All of a sudden, two
friendly Digimon, Bokomon and Neemon, come running from a greenish glow.
Cerberumon appears using his Emerald Flame attack! The three-headed black
dog decides to attack the kids. Takuya, along with Bokomon and Neemon rescue
Tommy while Cerberumon still attempts attacking them. Amazingly, Takuya
finds the Human Spirit of Flame and Spirit evolves, with his D-Tector, to
Agunimon. A fierce battle commences. Cerberumon uses his Portal of Darkness
attack and traps Agunimon in a dark deminsion. Agunimon uses his Spiral
Tornado attack to finish off Cerberumon. Takuya then de-digivolves back to
hisself, and this leaves the children confused. |
Episode 2. "Lobomon: Warrior
of Light" |

Japanese Title. "Wolfmon of
Light! The Battle in the Underground Labyrinth!" |
Takuya had saved the Pagumon village from Cerberumon. Everyone was amazed
at the grand assault. The scene shifts to Koji, who was talking to his
D-Tector about how to get home. His D-Tector replies saying he must find his
Spirit. His D-Tector switches to searching mode. The four other children are
shown, still in the digimon village, conversing with the Pagumon. They find
out that Cherubimon has empowered many digimon and plots to take over the
digital world. The children leave the village, accompanied by Bokomon and
Neemon. JP persuades Tommy to go with him to try and find the way back
home. They anger the Pagumon and they attack J.P. and Tommy! They run from
them and end up falling into a hole. They try to find the way out. Zoe and
Takuya talk a bit, until they fall upon the same hole! They are a bit dazed,
and notice writing on the walls. They have not much time to observe, as a
pack of Pagumon arrive. Then from no where, Koji jumps in to save JP and
Tommy with a large pole. He fends off the Pagumon, until the Pagumon decide
to overcome Koji by doing one thing; digivolving. The Pagumon digivolve
together to become Raremon. The large pile of wrenching glob attacks the
children. Takuya digivolves to Agnimon, but he is too weak. Then, Koji
falls through a hole made by Raremon's slug; and finds the Human Spirit of
Light. He becomes Lobomon and rises to conquer Raremon. Lobomon easily
discards Raremon for the trash he's mde of. Koji then decides to leave the group
again, leaving everyone else confused. |
Episode 3. "Kumamon Baby,
Light my Fire" |

Takuya and the others get a message from the D-Tectotors, to go to the
Forest Terminal. Trailmon gladly takes them there. They arrive at an empty
digital bus station. They decide to follow the tracks in which the train
uses. They seem to get lost, and find themselves in a canyon. They find
writings and pictures on the walls. Some are symbols which symbolize the
spirits. The pictures tell a story of a digimon named Lucemon. Bokomon and
Neemon explain that Lucemon once brought peace to the digital world, when
the human and beast type digimon were feuding. Lucemon ruled harshly and
cruelly when the power went to his head. Then, ten ancient warriors
overpowered Lucemon, and the beast and human type digimon were at war once
again. The kids find a group of Candlemon whom are chanting to a large
scroll with spirit symbols on it. The children also meet Wizardmon. Takuya
digivolves into Agunimon. His attacks are useless, while many more
Wizardmon come to aid his opponent. The children are in panic, just as
Tommy finds the Human Spirit of Ice. He digivolves into Kumamon. Together
they get the job done. Once the Wizardmon are taken care of, the Candlemon
praise the children. Then, a strange pathway appears and leads to the top
of the canyon, giving the children a way out.

Episode 4. "Kazemon

The episode begins, with Koji
on a Trailmon. He toys with his D-Tector, and tries to figure it out
Meanwhile, the other four children are provided with a choice; left, or
right? Takuya and Tommy take the left, while JP, Zoe, Bokomon, and Neemon
take the right. JP and Zoe find themselves in a very large and strange
barren tree. They find Koji, but he declines to go with them. Zoe falls off
of the tree, but a colony of Floramon catches her. They begin to talk with
the Floramon of the village. Takuya and Tommy are walking along the tracks
as the ground begins to rumble. It breaks apart. They are at the edge of a
cliff, with absolutely no where to go. The others continue to converse with
the Floramon and helping them replant flowers the Mushroomon destroyed.
Three Mushroomon appear, to ruin the happy scene. Zoe finds the Human
Spirit of Wind, and evolves to Kazemon! When the Mushroomon realize they
cannot obtain victory, they digivolve together into Woodmon. He triumphs
over Kazemon. JP, desperate to help, grabs a shovel and thumps Woodmon in
the back. Just then, Koji comes and he evolves to Lobomon. The Woodmon is
separated back into Mushroomon after getting a blast from Lobomon. Koji lay
on his knees, tired from the battle. Zoe gives her hand to him, in willing
for friendship. He rejects her kindness, and leaves once again. Takuya and
Tommy finally decided to go back and take the right path, to meet JP and
Zoe, surprised that she gained a Spirit. |
Episode 5. "Ladies and
Gentlemen, The Beetlemon" |

"Thunder Power Shaking the Ground - BLitzmon!" |
A strong wind blows as a Trailmon rides by. The kids notice a wind factory
with Kokuwamon working in it. They believe the factory might have some food
in it, and try to enter. Minomon appears warning the kids they can't come
in. Zoe tells them they're just here for a tour of the factory and the
Minomon let them in. The kids get a tour of the factory. The high tech
wind machines are only electric fans. The cafeteria serves batteries for
food and they are disappointed. Before leaving, the DigiDestineds notice a
small broken down village, the Kokuwamon's home. The elder explains that
they used to live in peace in the forests, until the Goblimon came and
captured them. They forced the enslaved Kokuwamon to work at the factory.
If they don't work, the get hung upside-down or splashed with water. Takuya
announces he will make a plan for them to free the Kokuwamon. Zoe and Tommy
decide to help but JP doesn't want any part. Zoe will distract the Goblimon
while the others wait in the factory until the right time. JP strongly
feels he doesn't want to go and the Kokuwamon say its ok, they don't like
doing things they don't want to do either. Takuya, Zoe, and Tommy evolve to
Agunimon, Kazemon, and Kumamon. Kazemon begins to distract the Goblimon
while Agunimon and Kumamon enter the factory, but Snimon is there! Snimon
is starting to beat Agunimon. Encouraged by a young Kokuwamon JP enters the
factory and sees that Agunimon and Kumamon needs help. He gets in a crane
and hits Snimon. Snimon shoots his attack at the crane. It falls apart and
reviels the Human Spirit of Thunder. JP Spirit evolves to Beetlemon!
Snimon hits Beetlemon, but his armor is so strong, it has no effect.
Beetlemon uses Thunder Fist and takes Snimon's Fractal code. They exit the
factory after it begins to collaps. Minomon tells a shadowy figure that
another child has got their Spirit.

Episode 6. "A Molehill Out of a Mountain" |

Japanese Title. "Five
Legendary Warriors Vs. The New Warrior!" |
Koji is climbing up a mountain when he hears cries
for help from a group of KaratsukiNumemon. As he tries to help a mysterious shadow
pushed him off a cliff. Takuya and the group were out of money for food
but saw a sign that hired heroes and fed them on their adventures. It
turned out to be the KaratsukiNumemon. Grumblemon had stolen the females and
held them until they told him where the Fractal Code was for the mountain they
lived on. The kids where taken to their homes where Koji was also there to help.
They let it slip that they were legendary warriors and the KaratsukiNumemon got
really scared. While they slept they were taken and hung off the side of a
cliff. Grumblemon, a digimon with the Human Spirit
of Earth, attack the kids and the KaratsukiNumemon. Koji breaks free
when a digimon drops a knife and digivolves into Lobomon. The KaratsukiNumemon realize their mistake and let the others go to
help Koji who is being beaten badly.
Together, they survive as they help one another. As they finish the
battle and it looked like the kids had won, Grottomon uses the Beast Spirit of Earth
and digivolved into Gigasmon. He kick but and absorbs the Fractal Code of
the mountain sending the kids falling through the sky separated from each other. |
Episode 7. "Island of Misfit Boys!" |

Floating in the Sky! Toy County of Toy Agumon!" |
After
their desperate fight with Gigasmon, the children are separated. They had
barely escaped with their lives. JP, Zoe, Bokomon, Neemon in one group
landed somewhere. Takuya, Koji and Tommy landed in another place. Takuya
and his group fell right into Toy Town. Only two, Takuya and Koji, members of the group could see the
town as a problem, the other was off playing. Koji and Takuya were busy
arguing about how to lead the group. Takuya said that Koji was to hard
on the others and Koji said Takuya wasn't meant to lead in the first place.
As they explored the island the children stopped to play with a toy once and
a while. Suddenly, Tommy, was kidnapped by Monzeamon! Koji and Takuya were unexpectedly helped by Pandamon, and were
shown where Tommy was captive. On arrival, they were attacked by a group of
evil ShadowToyAgumon under the spell of Cherubimon! They began to transform into machines
by building up like legos. The two digivolved into Lobomon and Agunimon and
defeated the evil Shadow Toy Agumon and they became sensible turning back into
Toy Agumons. They found
Tommy playing video games with Monzaemon. The Toy Agumon wanted to help
them so they offered transportation off of the island. The Three left in search of their lost friends. |
Episode 8. "The Odd One Out" |

Japanese Title. "Save
Everyone! Evolve Tsunomon!" |
As Takuya, Koji, and
Tommy left the Toy Town, Zoe, J.P., Bokomon, and Neemon had
discovered a small village. Inside they found a small digimon school, taught
by the one and only Miss Togemon. All of the small digimon were contently
happy, except for one; Tsunomon. The other children rejected him, which made
him quite depressed. Zoe and J.P. conversed with all the little digimon, and
noticed that Tsunomon was ridiculed. They begin to run after him. Despite
their best efforts, the little digimon falls into a small river. Zoe
attempts to rescue him, but begins to drown herself. Then, little Tsunomon
digivolves to Gabumon, and saves Zoe! Both Zoe and J.P. are enthrawled. He
begins to tell his fateful story, of the day that he first digivolved in
front of the other digimon children to retrieve their entangled ball. But
even when the ball is returned, the other digimon fear that the now larger
Tsunomon will harm them. Zoe and J.P. attempt to go back to the village and
fix this, but it begins to rain; hard.
Togemon informs them that when it rains, the river water overcedes and
begins the rampage of the flood waters. Zoe and J.P. infer that it's time to
Spirit Digivolve, and save the village from the flood. Kazemon and Beetlemon
have no problem at doing this, but to make matters worse, Kapurimon, one of
the student digimon, is swept away by the flood waters! Kazemon and
Beetlemon are busy, so they pleed Tsunomon to digivolve and help Kapurimon.
Tsunomon refuses, but after a little persuading, he finally digivolves and
rescues Kapurimon. The other small digimon are no longer afraid of Tsunomon,
but the best of friends. With everything back to normal, Zoe, J.P., Bokomon,
and Neemon set off to find the others. But at the exact same moment, Takuya,
Koji, and Tommy parachute from ToyAgumon's plane! With the others back and
their spirits high, they set off to the Forest Terminal, as if nothing could
stop them...

Episode 9. "Welcome to
my Nightmare" |

is the Enemy? Mysterious Forest of Televisions!" |
The
kids are still attempting to reach the Forest Terminal. The group
decides to take a rest. Tommy notices a shadowy figure
lurking in the bushes. Zoe finds a meat apple, which is an apple that has
various flavors of meat. Tommy, Bokomon, and Neemon accompany her to find
some more. As their
food cooks, the children begin discussing beast spirits. They began to
become interested in when Grumblemon evolved to Gigasmon. Takuya asks
Bokomon to search his book on beast spirits. Bokomon finds nothing, but
Neemon finds a page that is folded over. They uncover some information.
Clouds begin to muffle the light of the three digital moons. Many TVs begin
showing up on trunks of trees. Each screen shows a different scene from the
real world. Zoe see's her school, while Tommy, sees his worried mother.
The clouds fade from the sky and the screens disappear. Tommy desperately
wants to keep watching his mother, but only depresses himself more. JP attempts to cheer
him up with magic tricks. Tommy is slightly happier, and wanders.
A strange digimon jumps from the bushes and infects Tommy with the Nightmare
Syndrome. Tommy turns around, and quietly goes to bed. As
the others sleep, Tommy has a nightmare. He sees his mother, but
the other kids are holding him back from her. He begins to believe the
others are his enemies and abruptly wakes up. He grabs a stick slightly
lighted with small cinders and begins swinging it. The others try to figure
out what has gone wrong with the boy. He spirit evolves to Kumamon and
starts using his Crystal Freeze technique. They all agree not to spirit
evolve, trying not to hurt Tommy. Takuya and Koji notice the shadowy figure
once again and Koji spirit evolves to Lobomon. He uses his sword to light
up the forest. They find that the shadowy figure is in fact a digimon,
Bakumon, the same little digimon that infected Tommy. Takuya spirit evolves
to Agunimon, and JP complains that Takuya and Koji broke their pact. As
Lobomon defends himself against Kumamon, Agunimon is taking care of Bakumon.
He tries to convince Kumamon that it's just a nightmare. He then blasts
Bakumon with an earth-shattering blow of fire, and absorbs the evil Fractal
Code implanted in him by Cherubimon. Kumamon reverts back to Tommy, unaware
of what happened. Bakumon apoligises for his behavior. The night is calm
as the children lay to sleep. Koji lays awake, as his D-Tector begins to
communicate with him. He learns that some how he must grow, and find his
beast spirit. He is anxious to find his spirit and they way home. |
Episode 10. "Can't Keep a Grumblemon Down" |

Japanese Title. "Beast
Spirit out of Control? Garmmon Evolution!" |
The
Children were heading towards the Train Terminal in the Forest, when they
met the leader of the Gotsumon. He explained to the children that Grumblemon
was fighting his people! Two Gotsumon stepped up to fight, but it was no use
because Grumblemon had already side evolved into Gigasmon with the Beast
Spirit! The Children ran to the scene and evolved themselves, but they could
not stand up to a digimon like Gigasmon. As the battle pounded on the
Children became bruised and tired. They De-Volved into their human forms.
None of the Children could even stand. Three Gotsumon took up the fight,
but were loosing just as the children had. Moved by the Gotsumon's will to
help them, and the madness Gigasmon put him into, Koji stood up! He found
the Beast Spirit of Light, and evolved into Kendo Garurumon! With his
beast spirit he made quick work of Gigasmon and forced him to leave. |
