Another fine example of a great Prototype gundam. The Nightbringer gundam boasts powerful heavy capabilities. Wielding shoulder-mounted cannons along with other powerful weapons, the Nightbringer gundam is capable of besting any mobile suit in combat. It's motto: Sheer strength is far superior to speed. With Nuke capabilities, this may very well be true. Able to launch a nuke into enemy locations before they can react gives his mobile suit a great upper-hand in destroying any foe. In melee conditions, it's I-field generators produce a perfect defense against any beam saber while the Night Bringer itself wields a powerful Beam Scythe capable of slashing foes apart. Only one weakness lies in the Night Bringer's abilities: It is a slower moving Gundam. But with so much power, that's hardly a weakness.

Technical and Historical Notes

The Principality of Zeon had begun developing experimental mobile armor during the early stages of the One Year War, and one of the earliest designs was the spacegoing MA-04X Zakrello. Rather than the agile and multi-role concept used in mobile suits, the Zakrello mobile armor was designed with speed and firepower in mind. It was equipped with a high-output generator to power its scattering beam cannon, and mounted large enough thrusters to give it tremendous acceleration. It also mounted a pair of pincer-like blades for high-speed, slicing melee attacks. However, what the Zakrello enjoyed in speed it lacked in agility, making it highly prone to taking fire and being unable to dodge attacks

Technical and Historical Notes

In the years building up to the One Year War, several companies took part in a new conceptual weapons competition. MIP Company's entry to the competition was the experimental MIP-X1 mobile armor; however, MIP lost out to Zeonic Company's more agile and versatile mobile suit concept. As the One Year War opened and Zeon began taking a serious second look at the mobile armor concept, the MIP-X1 was taken back to the drawing board and remodeled into the mobile armor MA-05 Bigro. Mounted a pair of large claw-laden arms for limited AMBAC (Active Mass Balance AutoControl) ability, the Bigro incorporated the same mono-eye sensor system used on all Zeon military mobile suits. Driven by a pair of large nuclear rocket engines, mounting a large mega particle gun and a pair of 4-tube missile launchers, and equipped with a Minovsky particle scattering system to make it difficult to detect with sensors, the Bigro was well-proven as a high-speed anti-warship unit. Information: The Zeon Duchy's first mass production model mobile suit the Zaku I was made for the front lines but soon rendered obsolete by the Zaku II. In the last few months of the one year war the Zeon were desperate, so they decided to use the Zaku I to reinforce their main troops. It was introduced around UC 0075.

Information: The Zaku II is arguably the most massed produced Zeon suit. There were 1000+ Zaku II's made in the One Year War since they were effective and cheap. It has a wide variety of weapons that it can use. The Zaku II was more powerful than anything the Federation could make until the RX-78-2 Gundam, which could take out multiple Zaku II's at a time.

Information: The Gelgoog simply put is the Zeon answer to the Gundam and GM. It is a beam rifle and saber equipped suit. The Gelgoog is poorly used by a great deal of Zeon cadets late in the war, costing them greatly. The Gelgoog Command came before this mass production version, but this suit would have been something completely different if not for the RX-78-2 Gundam. The MS-14A was originally planned to be the replacement for the old MS-06 Zaku II, but it didn't turn out that way. Only less than 200 of these were produced by the end of the One Year War, and they only went to rookie pilots who were losing battles to inferior Federation mobile suits. Just another example of the skill of the pilot dominating the abilities of the mobile suit.
