NEWS FROM BOISE
Sadness and Prayers. . . Still reeling from shock over the recent terrorist attacks
on the Pentagon and the Trade Towers, Brett and I are truly grateful that
our families are all safe. We continue to follow the news events closely
and continue to pray for the leaders of our countries and for those families
and friends across the country who have lost loved ones.
Two New Jobs. . . With the end of the summer and the return of the school year,
I finally have the opportunity to put my education to use regardless of lacking
English Teaching positions. I've decided to Substitute teach for the school
districts in this area and develop some experience and skills that I can utilize
in future years of teaching. Furthermore, I've accepted a job as a part-time
copy-editor for an engineering website. I will be editing technical papers and
documents written by professional engineers and transferring those documents to
HTML to upload onto the Web. As a Editor/HTML consultant I'll be making
thirty dollars an hour and I'm excited to get started. Brett has been hastily
teaching me HTML and as practice we created this site to share with our family.
Class Begins for Brett. . . If Brett had any time for himself I'm sure that he
would write this update. However, his class and young men's keeps him. . .completely
occupied. He is currently taking an engineering course from the University of
Illinois. The class is streamed over the internet so he can listen to lectures right
from home. Karla and Catherine will appreciate this, but for his semester project
he might be creating a computer version of the game Dirty Marbles (that way we can
practice for Christmas!)
