Why Digiscoped Photography?

I'll let these pictures tell you...

The first photograph has no magnification and so is as you would see the view from Stert tower hide at Bridgewater Bay NNR , looking east towards the Parret estuary. The second photograph was taken at about 40x magnification and shows what was sat on that distant post.

This Peregrine Falcon and it's mate sat like this for the entire day before preening prior to the high tide. At which time they both flew off in search of the shore birds that the same high tide forced up the mud flats and in to the shore-line. Later the male was seen at close range carrying a Dunlin.
