               Episode # 4 - Into the Hornets Nest

          The boat pulls into Duelist Kingdom and everyone is amazed at the size of the island.  Tristan is scared that he and Tea might be sent home as stowaways but they get off safe and everyone heads towards Pegasus's castle.  Tea notices that Joey caught a cold trying to save Yugi's Exodia cards and Yugi swears he will pay Weevil back.  Tea spots Bakura for a second time and she wonders what he is doing since he didn't have a duelist glove either.

          Now that the duelists had arrived, Pegasus explained the rules of the competition. and lets all of the duelist free to wander and battle as they please.  Those with 10 star chips in their possession will move on to the finals.  The winner will be allowed to duel Pegasus for anything they want and Yugi remembers his Grandpa.  The duelists are dismissed to begin battling and everyone leaves.  Yugi decides to duel Weevil first but Weevil runs deep into a forest.  The friends wander into the forest and spot Weevil.  Yugi challenges Weevil for destroying the Exodia cards on the ship but he only has one star chip so he also has to wager his deck, while Weevil wagers his two star chips.  Weevil is pleased that they had run into his trap and agrees to duel.  A dueling arena comes up from the ground and they start dueling.  Whoever looses is kicked off the island.  Other duelist come to watch that amazed that Yugi and Weevil are dueling each other before the finals.

          Weevil attacks with Killer Needle and Yugi sends out Mammoth Graveyard, two monsters with equal power.  Even though they are the same, Yugi's monster is sent to the graveyard.  Weevil explains that the field resembles what is around the arena.  Since they are in a forest, the field type is part wasteland, part forest, powering up his bug type monsters.  Yugi notices that Wastelands power up dinosaur type monsters so his Mammoth Graveyard should still be equal to Weevil's Killer Needle and both monsters are destroyed.

          Weevil is upset that Yugi understood Field Power Bonuses so well and sends out Hercules Beetle.  Yugi counter with a Feral Imp equipt with the magic card Horn of the Unicorn.  The Feral Imp should have been more powerful but for some reason the attack is repelled and the Imp is destroyed taking Yugi to 1350 life points.  Weevil explains that monsters with a Field Power Bonus aren't affected by monsters equipt with magic cards.  Yugi plays a monster in defense mode, and Weevil plays Basic Insect and equips it with Laser Cannon and Power Boost.  It is able to easily destroy Yugi's monster.  Yugi sends out another in defense mode to replace it.

          Weevil sees this as a desperate attempt and brags that the match is his.  He plays a trap card that will be activated as soon as Yugi attack on his next turn.  Yugi decides to set a trap card of his own and the cards he needs as Weevil focuses putting more bugs on the field.  Weevil announces that he is playing his last insect on the field and Yugi activates his trap.  He plays his Dark Magician in defense Mode and Weevil foolishly attacks it.  Yugi reveals his trap card, Mirror Force, and all of Weevils bugs are destroyed, taking him to 555 life points.  Yugi thinks that Weevil has no more monsters but instead Weevil tells him that he was lying and he is about to reveal his most powerful monster.

Episode Rating (1-10): 8.  This episode told us much more about Duel monsters and Duelist Kingdom.  There was also some good dueling to go along with it.  Some character information was also presented but not a lot.
