               Episode # 9 - Duel with a Ghoul

         Kaiba has just challenged Yugi to a duel.  The question is, how has Kaiba gotten to Duelist Kingdom?  The guards testified that Kaiba had jumped to his death.  This had to be Kaiba's ghost.  But at that very moment, the real Kaiba was lurking around his office.  He had managed to catch a ledge when he jumped out the window and was making his way to his secret office.  He used his computer to hack into Duelist Kingdom's computers and looked up Yugi's files.  They were blocked by passwords and Pegasus's traps.  He knew Yugi had to win to save Kaiba Corporation and his brother from Pegasus.  The computer informs Kaiba that Yugi was playing without Exodia in his deck, thanks to Weevil.  Kaiba thought that was his only way to win.

          Back at the duel, Yugi is able to use his Dark Magician to do some damage to the fake Kaiba.  The impostor is using all the same cards that were in Kaiba's deck and it isn't long before the fake sends out the Blue Eyes White Dragon.  This had to be Kaiba's deck because only Kaiba had the last three Blue Eyes cards.  Mokuba is positive that is wasn't his brother and tried to convince Yugi that he is a fake.  Yugi isn't sure what to believe and concentrates on the duel.  At his lab, Kaiba hacks into the satellite that transfers information to and from Duelist Kingdom.  Kaiba found where Yugi was dueling but the computer couldn't get in because of a block.  Kaiba downloads a virus to knock down the wall.  The next blockade is a password.  Kaiba knows that Pegasus is too self-centered so he knew that Pegasus would use his own name as the password.  Yugi is unable to stand up to the Blue Eyes with any of his monsters so he conceals his Dark Magician in the Magical Hats.  Four hats appear on the field and Yugi's monster is under one of them.  Under another hat there is a nasty surprise.  There is a 25% chance that the fake Kaiba will attack the right hat and defeat Yugi.  The imposter sends his Blue Eyes to attack, but will it be the right hat?

Episode Rating (1-10): 8.  This was a great episode because it made Kaiba almost a good character.  He isn't entirely bad, nor is he entirely good.  He has his own set of objectives and he is a unique character.  The dueling was OK but it wasn't the center of this episode.
