               Episode # 14 - Panic Attack

          Yugi, Bakura, Joey, Tristan, and Tea follow the scream in the woods.  The arrive at a nearby dueling arena to find Mai's Harpies Lady Sisters being defeated.  Mai is loosing a duel to a Pegasus’s hired eliminator duelist named Panik.  The Eliminators go around the island and duel to kick people off the island.  He cheats and Mai looses all eight of her star chips.  Mai warns them to get away before he gets them too.  Yugi decides to fight the bully to get Mai her star chips back.  Mai tries to tell Yugi not to duel Panik, because she doesn't know if Yugi could win.  Panik seems anxious to duel Yugi and says that Pegasus has offered an award to the eliminator that can defeat Yugi.  Panik tells Yugi there is more to dueling than strategy and Mai tells him that Panik is a ruthless duelist.  When he steps on the arena, Yugi is lock in with clasps to prevent him from escaping.  Flames shoot aroung the dueling stand barely missing him.  Panic tries to scare his opponents but it does not work on Yugi.  The others start to doubt Yugi's ability to win but he stays strong.  Panic uses Castle of Dark Illusions, covering his side of the field in black mist covering his side of the field.  Yugi plays Celtic Guardian in defense mode and Panik lays down a monster.  Yugi can't see it because of the castle's mist and Celtic Guardian is destroyed.

          Yugi realizes he can't defeat monsters he can't see so he starts to look for a way to destroy the Castle of Dark Illusions.  Yugi plays Winged Guardian of the Fortress in Defense Mode.  Panik can tell his opponent is beginning to fret and plays another monster in the darkness.  He destroys the dragon, taking Yugi down to 1606 Life Points.  He taunts Yugi and tells him it is impossible to win with the Castle of Dark Illusion in play.  Yugi begins to laugh and tells Panik he knows exactly how to win.  He gets Swords of Revealing Light and could freeze Panik's monsters for three turns.  That's not all, the Darkness would illuminated and Panik's monsters would be revealed.  Mai is shocked at Yugi's ability and Yugi announces that he will win in 5 turns.  He plays Curse of Dragon in defense mode and another card face down.  Panik is certain that the face down card is another Swords of Revealing Light and sends Reaper of the Cards to destroy the magic card.  But the card was really Spellbinding Circle and The Reaper of the Cards is unable to move.  Yugi decides it is time to play Swords of Revealing Light.  He also plays a face down card and tells Panik that he will keep his promise and win in 4 turns.

Episode Rating (1-10): 6.  This was an ok Episode not really good dueling but Yugi stood up for Mai and that was really nice after the way she treated them.  The good dueling is in the next episode.  This also had nothing to do with the plot other than collecting star chips.
