THE HEART OF THE CARDS ...Trust in the Heart
EPISODE GUIDE
Episode # 26 -Champion VS Creator (1) Yugi, Joey, and Mai each have 10 star chips and go to enter Pegasus's Castle for the chance to duel him. The guards stop Tristan, Bakura, and Tea because the don't have any star chips or a dueling glove. Mai flirts with the guards and Tristan, Tea, and Bakura are able to sneak by him and lock the guard outside. Bandit Keith is already inside the castle with his 10 star chips waiting for a duel. He tells Yugi and the others that they will have to wait because Kaiba must first battle Pegasus. They look down over the edge of a the balcony and see Kaiba. He is waiting for Pegasus to begin the duel. Pegasus enters and begins to taunt Kaiba as he usually does. Kaiba stays on his task to save his brother Mokuba. Nothing else matters to him now. Pegasus point out that they have an audience for the duel and Kaiba notices Yugi is inside the castle. He isn't surprised that Yugi managed to regain the star chips Kaiba had won from him. Pegasus is also pleased that Yugi has passed the tests laid out for him. Kaiba gets back on track and challenges Pegasus to a duel. He demands that they play on his new invention, the dueling disk. He thinks Pegasus cheats when he uses his own dueling arena. Pegasus says it wouldn't be fair since he wouldn't know how to use it so he offers Kaiba a deal. He'll use the duel disks but only if Kaiba lets another person duel for Pegasus. Two guards drag in a soulless Mokuba to duel for Pegasus but Kaiba stops him. He cannot duel against his brother. Reluctantly, he agrees to use the Dueling Arena instead. The others are shocked that Kaiba has a soft spot and he is not just dueling for his brother, he's dueling to try and save his soul, just like Yugi is dueling for Grandpa's soul. Yugi understands why Kaiba was so desperate when they dueled on the roof earlier. At the Arena, Pegasus warns Kaiba that if he looses, his soul will be trapped forever too. An arena descends from above. Yugi tells Kaiba to trust in the Heart of the Cards if he wants to save his brother. He also gives him a warning to look out for the Millennium Eye. Kaiba ignores him and Pegasus starts the match by playing a monster in defense mode and and trap/magic card face down. Kaiba draws and gets the Blue Eyes White Dragon but is uneasy about playing it yet. He plays the Rude Kaiser instead and attacks Pegasus's face down monster, destroying it. Pegasus seems like his is having fun and plays Parrot Dragon and attacks Kaiba's monster. Kaiba activates Mesmeric Control and raises Rude Kaiser's attack points by 800. Pegasus doesn't seem to care about loosing a monster and toys with Kaiba just like when he dueled Yugi. Kaiba is determined to defeat Pegasus so he decides to play Blue Eyes White Dragon. Pegasus interrupts and plays Prophecy. If Pegasus can guess that card Kaiba is about to play has either higher attack points than 2000 or lower than 2000, the he gains control of the monster. Pegasus guesses correctly with the power of the Millennium Eye and Kaiba is shocked. He doesn't understand the Millennium Items. Pegasus uses his Eye to look at Kaiba's hand. He quickly assembles a counter attack combo to Kaiba's hand. Sure enough Pegasus is ready. Kaiba plays Saggi the Dark Clown. Pegasus plays Negative Energy making the clown to powerful to hold the cards Kaiba played. Pegasus then plays Dark Rabbit and destroys Kaiba's monster. Kaiba's Life Points fall to 1000 while Pegasus remains untouched at 2000. There seems to be no way for Kaiba to win as long as Pegasus has his Millennium Eye. Summary By YamiHikari Screen Shots (Coming Soon...) New Characters: None Characters Shown: Yugi, Joey, Tea, Tristan, Bakura, Mai, Pegasus, Bandit Keith, Kaiba Cards Featured: (Coming Soon...) Episode Rating (1-10) 8.5 This episode is really interesting. It seems like two of Yugi's rivals are dueling and you don't know who to cheer for. Kaiba makes himself the lesser of two evils. Pegasus is the main villain for sure. He will be the tougher opponent too if Kaiba can't stand up to him. |
