THE HEART OF THE CARDS ...Trust in the Heart
EPISODE GUIDE
Episode # 35 - Yugi Vs. Pegasus - Match of the Millennium (1) Yugi looks through his deck remembering when his Grandfather gave it to him. He feels ready and confident to face Pegasus. He goes through the door to where his friends are waiting and they give him last minute support. Croquet tells Yugi to take his spot on the dueling arena. Yugi transforms into Yami Yugi and Pegasus makes his way opposite of him. Pegasus congratulates Yugi on making it this far. Yugi ignores him and makes him swear to release Grandpa, Mokuba, and Kaiba if he wins. Pegasus agrees and Yami Yugi realizes that he has already begun to read his mind with the Millennium Eye. Everyone is ready to begin and Bakura wonders how Yami Yugi will be able to get around the Mind Scan of the Millennium Eye. Tea and Joey are positive Yugi can win. Tristan isn't sure if it will be a fair duel. Joey agrees that Pegasus can be tricky and he and Tea go get a better look from the edge of the balcony. Tristan and Bakura stay behind. Tristan says he will rescue Mokuba and Kaiba's bodies so Pegasus can't use them to hurt Yugi. He gets up to leave and Bakura starts to look dark, evil and mysterious. At the arena, Croquet announces the duel and asks Yugi which card he is submitting as a prize card. Yugi holds up the King's Left Hand Honor card, the blank one. Croquet acknowledges this and says that if Yami Yugi can win, not only will he get the souls of his friends, he will become the owner of 60% of Pegasus' own company, Industrial Illusions. Bakura wonders up to the balcony and Tea asks where Tristan went. Bakura says he doesn't know even though he knows that he is looking for Mokuba's body. Joey assumes he went to the bathroom or something. Pegasus says that if someone could beat him they would have great power but if they loose, their soul will be trapped. The card Yugi is holding is blank, but if he looses his soul will rest there forever. Tea says she doesn't believe it. Joey questions how Yugi can still want to face Pegasus with so much at risk. Yami Yugi isn't ready to become part of Pegasus's collection. Pegasus laughs to himself saying this duel is about Kaiba Corp. Sure enough, the Big 5 are watching this duel closely. The arena lights switch on and the players draw their first hand. Pegasus thinks that Yugi can't beat his Millennium Eye. Yami tells himself that he won't loose, he can't afford to loose. Meanwhile, Tristan is wondering under the castle looking for Mokuba. He hears someone combing and looks for a place to hide. Just then, one of Pegasus's guards came around the corner. Tristan, hiding in a suit of armor, hears a whirling sound, then there are two guards talking about a kid. Tristan thinks Mokuba and decides to check it out. He turns the corner where the guard went and finds a dead end with a dragon statue. He trips on his armor and falls on the statue opening a secret door. Back at the duel, Yami makes his move. He plays a trap card face down and a monster in defense mode and ends his turn. Pegasus also plays a trap card before playing Red Archery Girl (1400/1500). He uses Mind Scan to see that Yugi's face down card is Beaver Warrior (1200/1500) and the Magic/Trap card is Horn of the Unicorn. He sees Yugi's plan and ends his turn. Yugi decides to take his opportunity and attack while he can. He powers up his Beaver with the Horn of the Unicorn and attacks the Red Archery Girl. Pegasus is already prepared with his trap card, Mermaid's Tear, which cancels the Horn of the Unicorns effect keeping Beaver Warrior at 1200 attack points. Pegasus takes his turn and attacks the Beaver Warrior dropping Yugi to 1800 LP. Tea wonders how Pegasus knew what Yugi was going to do ahead of time. Joey says Pegasus is already using his Mind Scan. Yami Yugi wonders how he can beat the Millennium Eye. Pegasus says that a duelist is lead to his defeat by his mistakes, and he doesn't make any. Joey wonders if Pegasus is like a god if he doesn't make mistakes. Bakura explains that Pegasus invented the game giving him a god-like presence. Joey asks if this means Yugi will loose, but Bakura says there has to be a way. Meanwhile in the tunnels, Tristan sneaks up on a guard and knocks him out. He sees the soulless body of Mokuba in a cage and takes the keys from the guard and grabs Mokuba's body. Unfortunately and unknown to him, it triggered a silent alarm. Back at the arena, Yugi plays a face down monster and ends his turn. Just then Croquet's cell phone rings and he picks it up. The security guard tells him about what happened to Mokuba. Croquet tells him that Pegasus is dueling right now and they will have to handle the problem on their own. Bakura has spotted Croquet on his phone and used his Millennium Ring to hear what they are saying. Tristan is making his way through the tunnels with Mokuba's soulless body when he hears more footsteps. They have found him and he doesn't have much time. Pegasus takes his turn and plays on trap/magic card before playing Dragon Egger (2200/2600) in defense mode and switching his mermaid to defense mode as well. Tristan is cornered with guards coming from both sides. Yami takes his turn and Pegasus says that he knows of every card in his hand. He does a mind scan and sees that he holds Spellbinding Circle, Celtic Guardian, Magical Silk Hats, and Feral Imp. Yugi draws and Pegasus sees that it is the Summoned Skull. There's nothing Yami Yugi can do. He's stuck. Summary By YamiHikari Screen Shots: Coming Soon New Characters: None Characters Shown: Yugi, Joey, Tea, Tristan, Bakura, Pegasus, Croquet Cards Featured: (Coming Soon...) Episode Rating (1-10) 6.1 Crap! Dueling is horrible!!!! The part that made this episode good was Tristan going off on his own and the return of Yami Bakura. Other wise this sucked. The "final" duel doesn't need 5 episodes.... |
