THE HEART OF THE CARDS ...Trust in the Heart
EPISODE GUIDE
Episode # 36 - Yugi Vs. Pegasus - Match of the Millennium (2) Currently, Pegasus has Ryu-Ran and Red Archery Girl while Yugi only has a face down defense monster. Tea and Joey are both cheering for Yugi while Bakura has become Yami Bakura and knows that Tristan has Mokuba's body. Yami Bakura starts to leave when Joey asks him where he's going. The normal Bakura says he's going to look for Tristan and goes off. Pegasus sees that Yugi will try to lure out Pegasus to attack with Summoned Skull and then use Spellbinding Circle. And indeed, on Yami's turn, he does just that. Pegasus decides to activate Yugi’s trap but not fall for it. He believes that Yugi will fall for his trap in the end. Pegasus draws a card and attack the Summoned Skull with his Ryu-Ran. Yugi activates Spellbinding Circle to stop the attack and lowers Ryu-Ran Egger’s attack by 700 points. Meanwhile, under the castle, Yami Bakura is running through the tunnels looking for Tristan and Mokuba. His Millennium Ring guides him down the right path. At the duel, Yugi decides to attack the weakened Ryu-Ran with his Summoned Skull. As he does, Pegasus activates his trap card, Reverse Trap which removes the Spellbinding Circle from the dragon and traps the Summoned Skull. Currently the Ryu-Ran is at 2200 while the Summoned Skull is at 1800. Pegasus attacks and Yugi falls to 1400 LP as his monster is destroyed. Pegasus’s guards finally corner Tristan. They are about to arrest him and take Mokuba’s body back when Yami Bakura appears. Bakura traps the guards with a Duel Monsters card much to Tristan’s surprise. When he questions Bakura about what he did, Bakura tells him not to worry about it and run. Yugi knows he must defeat Pegasus’s mind scan. Pegasus says to himself that this duel is a battle of minds. Whoever can control the other opponents mind will be victorious. Yami Yugi has no way to win. Pegasus starts his turn off by playing Toon World. It changes his Ryu-Ran and Red Archery Girl into Toon monsters! Pegasus explains that toons can only be destroyed by other Toons. He attacks with Manga Ryu-Ran and destroys Yugi’s face down monster, Giant Soilder of Stone. After attacking, the toon monster goes back into the book of Toon World where Yugi’s monster’s can’t reach it. Pegasus switches Toon Mermaid into attack mode and ends his turn. Yugi plays Celtic Guardian in attack mode. Both the Celtic Guardian and the Toon Mermaid have the same attack mode and both should be destroyed in combat. Just as the attack hits, the Toon Mermaid is able to block the attack. She shoots and arrow and destroys the Celtic Guardian. Pegasus explains that only Toon Monsters can attack other Toon Monsters. Pegasus plays two trap/magic cards and ends his turn. Yugi wonders if there is a way to win if he can’t attack Pegasus’s monster. Yugi looks at his hand and sees that he has the Feral Imp, Magic Silk Hats, Horned Imp, and Monster Recall. Yugi knows playing monsters in attack mode is pointless against the toon monsters. He plays a monster in face down defense mode and as he does, Pegasus activates his trap card, Gorgon’s eye which makes his Horned Imp turn into stone. Half of the monster’s defense points will be taken from Yugi’s LP when it is attacked. Pegasus also plays Copycat. A black cat comes out and Pegasus talks to it saying, “What card do you want to be today?” Copycat is allowed to become any card in either player’s graveyard. It becomes Summoned Skull but since Toon World is out, it becomes Toon Summoned Skull. It attacks Yugi’s Horned Imp and Yugi’s LP fall to 900. Pegasus, untouched at 2000 LP asks Yugi how it is to be attacked by his own monster. Yugi draws Dark Magician and Pegasus sees it immediately. Yami Bakura and Tristan are still trying to escape from Pegasus’s guards. Tristan demands to know what Bakura did back in the tunnel but he says to concentrate on running. Tristan sees a door with sunlight shinning through and thinks it is a way out. It is really a cliff and Tristan looses his balance and is about to fall when Yami Bakura grabs his coat and pulls him back. They continue running but are more careful. The guards are catching up to them and Yami Bakura chuckles to himself. Meanwhile back at the duel, Yami Yugi is giving up, he sees that there is no way for him to win. Because of Toon World he can’t attack and because of Gorgon’s eye, he can’t play monster’s in Defense Mode. Pegasus asks Yugi to give up. From the balcony, Joey tells Yugi that he can’t give up. If he does, he will loose his soul and the chance to save everyone. Yugi thinks of Grandpa, Kaiba, and Mokuba. Yugi realizes that if he gives up the souls will be lost forever. ld be lost forever. He cant give up now, even if there is no chance of him winning. He says he will never give up and he will bet on his life if he has to. Pegasus thinks to himself that there is no way of Yugi winning. He's doomed. Summary By YamiHikari Screen Shots: Coming Soon New Characters: None Characters Shown: Yugi, Joey, Tea, Tristan, Bakura, Pegasus, Croquet Cards Featured: (Coming Soon...) Episode Rating (1-10) 6.8 Dueling is still horrible!!!! We get the point, Yugi is screwed for now. (We only needed one episode to figure out the Toons are powerful.) Again the part that made this episode good was Tristan going off on his own and the return of Yami Bakura. |
