               Episode # 37 - Yugi Vs. Pegasus - Match of the Millennium (3)

     In the Duel between Pegasus and Yugi, Pegasus definitely has the advantage with Toon World on the field.  Yugi plays Dark Magician in attack mode with Magical Silk hats to conceal it.  He is trying to confuse Pegasus though Pegasus already knows that Yami Yugi is looking for a way to destroy Toon World.  Pegasus laughs and says that Yami’s mind decides what hat the Dark Magician hides under so reading Yugi’s mind will tell him where to attack.  Yugi is in shock.  His desperate Magic Silk Hat combo didn’t work either, there is not way to beat the Millennium Eye.  Pegasus finds the hat farthest on the left contains the Dark Magician.  Right then the Millennium Puzzle begins to grow.  Pegasus attack the hat with the Toon Summoned Skull but when the dust clears, the computer says that the Dark Magician is still on the field.  Pegasus is shocked and wonders why it hasn’t been destroyed.  Yugi says that his mind choose where to hide the Dark Magician.  But there is something different about his voice, the little Yugi has come out!

     Yugi explains that Pegasus didn’t read his mind but the other Yugi inside him.  Joey asks what is going on.  Yugi explains that his other self, Yami Yugi comes out when he duels and takes over while he watches from his heart.  This time he couldn’t watch his partner suffer.  Yugi told his other self that he wanted to help any way he could because Yami can’t beat Pegasus alone.  They believe that if they fight Pegasus with two minds instead of one they might win.  Yugi explains that since he finished the Millennium Puzzle, they have been taking turns using Yugi’s body to live.  Tea believes him and remembers Yugi talking about his other self before.

     Yugi draws a card and plays it face down in the magic and trap area.  He dares Pegasus to read his mind to see what card it is.  Pegasus obliges and uses Mind Scan to read his mind but as he does, the Millennium Puzzle activates and Yami Yugi comes out.  Since he doesn’t know what card has been played, Pegasus can’t find out either.  Yami explains that using the Millennium Eye takes time and lets the Yugi’s switch.  Their new technique is called Mind Shuffle.  Joey understands what they are doing.  Pegasus can only read one mind at a time so they are going to fight back with two minds.  Pegasus says that it doesn’t matter as long as he has Toon World, Yugi can’t attack.  Pegasus says that he will leave the hats alone.  Yugi challenges him asking if he doesn’t trust himself without the Millennium Eye.  Pegasus admits he doesn’t trust himself but tells the Toon Summoned Skull to attack a hat, which is another dud.  Little Yugi comes out and draws Living Arrow, he plays it facedown and then lets Yami come back out.

     Pegasus can’t tell the facedown card but neither can Yami Yugi.  Yami says he trust his partner and that’s good enough for him.  Pegasus plays Ward of Magic Dispelling which cancels all active magic cards played by your opponent.  The Magical Hats are removed and the Dark Magician is exposed.  Pegasus calls out Toon Summoned Skull and attacks the Magician.  As the toon makes his attack, little Yugi comes out and activates the magic card, Living Arrow which sends the Magic Dispelling at Toon World.  Yugi says that they had wanted Magical Silk Hats destroyed.  Pegasus laughs and says it is too late, the Dark Magician will still be destroyed.  Yugi activates his other trap, Mirror Force and reflects Pegasus’s attack. 

     Pegasus is stunned.  He is now at 600 LP with no monsters on the field.  Tea realizes that Yugi now has a chance at saving his Grandpa.  Meanwhile, Yami Bakura gets rid of the guards.  Tristan remembers a dream where a spirit took over Bakura and he accuses Bakura of being a fake.  Yami Bakura then asks Tristan if he would like to become a sacrafice to his dark power.  He demands that Tristan hands over Mokuba’s body for him to live in.  Tristan refuses and the room begins to darken…

     Pegasus congratulates Yugi for using the Millennium Puzzle and says that it is time to move the duel to the Shadow Realm.  A darkness covers Yugi and Pegasus and they disappear from the others.

Episode Rating (1-10) 7.8 Finally the duel is picking up.  The Mind Shuffling is awsome and Yugi's explanation of "sharing" his body with Yami was excellent.  Pegasus's character is getting more developed than it already was.  And the Yami Bakura thing is still awesome.
