               Episode # 39 - Yugi Vs. Pegasus - Match of the Millennium (5)

     Tristan, Tea and Joey are still trying to call out to Yugi who is inside the Shadow Realm dueling Pegasus.  Inside Yami Yugi is having all sorts of trouble in his duel.  His Dark Magician is part of Pegasus's Thousand Eyes Restrict and the Jigen Bakudan will exploded in two turns. dropping his life points to 0.  Yami has a vision of Grandpa.  He tells Yugi there are more people to believe in besides himself and the Heart of the Cards.  Yami remebers Yugi's (and his) friends.  Right now, Tea reminds the others about Tristan and Joey about the Bond of Friendship they made together.  When Yugi first dueled Pegasus Tea drew a smiley face on their hands to remind them of each other.  They know that darkness can't sever their friendship and their hearts are with Yugi right now.

     Yami decides to draw a card and as he does, Pegasus uses his Millennium Eye to try and see it too.  As he enters his mind, he sees Tristan, Joey and Tea who are holding up little Yugi.  They block him from looking at Yami's mind.  There are too many cards and Pegasus can't read Yami's cards any more.  Yami asks him what's the matter.  His Millennium Eye can't break their friendship.  He plays the card he just drew, Magic Box.  The Dark Magician and Jigen Bakudan switch places and Yugi's monster if finally free.  There's only one turn left until the time bomb explodes.

     Pegasus draws a card and passes his turn, not knowing what to do.  Yami draws a card and smirks.  He plays Brain Control to move The Thousand Eyes under his control.  Pegasus laughs as the Time Bomb tick to 0.  He tells Yami that it will explode and he will loose.  Yami doesn't agree.  He plays the card that Yugi set face down earlier, Black Magic Ritual!  Yami sacrifices the Dark Magician and Jigen Bakudan to summon the Magician of Black Chaos (LV 8 2800/2600).

     Pegasus is amazed at Yugi's move but still fells confident.  Brain Control will end it's effect after this turn and Pegasus will have his Thousand Eyes Restrict back.  It's a matter of time before Yugi's Magician is part of his monster.  Yami says he has his friends with him so he cannot loose.  Before he ends his turn, Yami plays a monster in defense mode magic/trap card which Pegasus can't see because his friends are blocking for him.

     Pegasus takes his turn and Thousand Eyes Restrict falls under his control.  He wants to absorb the Black Magician of Chaos and activates the monsters special effect.  He says Yami's friendship is meaningless.  As Yami attacks with the magician, it becomes paralyzed and Pegasus begins to absorb it.  Yami reminds Pegasus that it will absorb "all" of Yugi's monsters.  He begins to flip his face down cards.  Thousands of Kuriboh begin to appear.  Yami had activated Multiply which infinitively multiplies Kuriboh.  Yami Explains that since Kuribohs are so weak, when they touch other monsters they explode.  Right now, hundreds of Kuribohs are rushing toward Thousand Eyes Restrict and each of them cover an eye.  They explode destroying the spell that froze the Black Magician of Chaos.  Yugi looses 300 LP for the origional Kuriboh and stands at 150 LP.  Yami Attacks and Pegasus's LP fall to 0.  Outside, Tea and the others notice that the darkness is stirring.

    Yami is crouched down at the duel station and when he stands up, it's little Yugi.  Yugi says that he won with the help of his friends.  Pegasus is shocked.  Even with the Millennium Eye, he lost he game he had created.

     The Darkness fades and everyone rushes over to Yugi to congratulate him.  Tea reminds them that Yugi's Grandpa's soul can now be set free.  Yugi turns to talk to Pegasus but he has disappeared.  They decide to search for him but Tristan tells them they can't leave Mokuba and Bakura alone.  Just then, Bakura yells down to them.  Tristan asks him if he remembers being controlled by the Millennium Ring and Yugi asks where it is now.  Tristan explains how he through it in the woods.  Bakura thanks Tristan for saving him.  Tea asks him to watch Mokuba while they look for Pegasus.  He agrees and they disappear down the hallway.  As they leave, a glow comes from Bakura's chest, the Millennium Ring.  Yami Bakura has returned.

Episode Rating (1-10) 9.4  This was a great way to end Duelist Kingdom.  The friends stepping in to help block the Millennium Eye was awesome.  Also Pegasus disappearing and Yami Bakura returning again was really cool.  There is so much to look forward to!  Black Magician of Chaos is the Best!!!
