Episode # 45 - Duel Monsters

In
this episode, all of the townspeople watch from a distance as a massive airship
rises from the ground, thanks to Joey's Time Magician. Yugi, Joey and Mai
wave at the peasants and the little fairy flies up to Yugi, deciding to tag
along. Joey takes the wheel and steers themselves to the Dark Flying
Castle.
Back in the real world, Kemo and his buddies are still
trying to get in. One manages to snake his hand inside but Tea slaps it
back. Kemo tells them all that they are surrounded and its just useless to
resist. Tristan tells them he wont let them touch Yugi.
In the game, the airship has risen above the clouds and
was tailing the Dark Flying Castle. All of the monsters are about to
attack and there are various types. Mai gets set and sends out her Harpie
Lady, Joey sends out his Giltia, the Dragon Knight, and Yugi sends out his Black
Magician. Everything looks cool until the airship begins to get hit by
exploding Mega Thunderballs, which knocks Yugi to the ground. One of the
monsters tries to take a stab at Yugi but the game fairy steps in the way and
gets knocked away, but Yugi's Black Magician kills the monster before it can do
anything else. Yugi plays his Swords of Revealing Light to keep the
monsters at bay. Yugi cups the fairy in his hands and says he's sorry to
her, its all his fault. The fairy smiles at Yugi for a moment and fades
away, tiny bits of data floating into the sky and disappearing. Yugi
sheads some tears for her and angrily transforms into Yami Yugi, who will not
forgive the Big 5 for this. Right then, the airship hits a invisible
barrier and Joey forces the airship through it. The castle resembles the
Castle of Dark Illusions. The seal of it begins to darken however and it
shoots fire at the airship. Joey tries to dodge it but it catches part of
the wing on fire. Mai uses her Harpie Lady to destroy the monster that
shot the fire.
By now, the whole wing is aflame and a piece of one of
the propellers breaks and is flying toward them all. Yami Yugi brings out
a card and as the deck of the airship explodes, you see Yami Yugi, Joey and Mai
riding Yami Yugi's Winged Dragon away from the flaming airship.
Kaiba is still strung up on the wall and The Witty
Phantom apologizes for keeping Kaiba waiting, they now have their second
sacrifice. On the ground beside Kaiba, Mokuba, still dressed as Adina,
appears. He whips off the dress and tells Kaiba he's here to save him.
Phantom doesn't care, he still figures they have their sacrifices for the Five
God Dragon but Mokuba pulls out Swordstalker and cuts Kaiba free. Mokuba
gives Kaiba back his deck and Kaiba tells Hajin he's going to pay him back and
calls out his Blue Eyes White Dragon. The Witty Phantom tries to run but
the Blue Eyes' beam tears him apart. Kaiba and Mokuba prepare to leave and
they start to run. Just then, a bunch of Armed Ninja's jump from the walls
and one sends out another Dragon Capture Jar. Kaiba says that wont work
and calls his Trap Master and it destroys the Dragon Capture Jar. Then
Kaiba calls another of his Blue Eyes and uses them to clear out all the Armed
Ninja's. Kaiba takes time out to ask how Mokuba got here and Mokuba tells
him that Yugi and the others helped him. Kaiba cant believe he's here and
Mokuba tells him he was worried about Kaiba and Kaiba says he shouldn't have and
they leave.
Outside the castle, Joey, Mai and Yami Yugi are outside
the castle. Joey notices how quiet it is but Yami Yugi sees something
ahead. Off in the distance is a giant tree with some big cocoons attached
to them. Right then, an army of Killer Needles and Hercules Beetles come
out of the forest and start coming toward them. Joey sends out Giltia the
Dark Knight to cut through them and its going well until a Man-Eater Bug comes
out and destroys it. The bugs start coming again and Yami Yugi calls out
his Mirror Force and they hit a invisible wall as they come close to them and
then explode into flames, which starts up a major forest fire. It doesnt
stop the cocoons though as they crack open and Great Moth's come out of them.
Joey doesnt see how to get past them but Yami Yugi has a way. He pulls out
his Catapault Turtle and his Kuriboh and loads his Kuriboh onto the turtle.
Just before the Kuriboh fires, Yami Yugi adds his Multiply card to it and as the
Kuriboh is flying, it starts multiplying and dropping onto the Great Moth's like
firebombs that light them aflame and they're destroyed.
In the real world, the Big 5 are watching Yugi's
progress through the game and getting a little concerned...
Yami Yugi and the others have entered the castle and
just as they do, a beam shoots down from the ceiling and a Blue Eyes pokes it's
head through and Mokuba and Kaiba jump down from the hole. Joey says they
were worried about them all but Kaiba says he didnt need a wimp worring about
him, which pisses Joey off. They're about to fight until they all hear
someone laughing at them. Kaiba says to the voice that they tried to use
him as a sacrifice but they failed. The voice is suprised to hear that
Kaiba is there, much less alive. Kaiba says that now the Five God Dragon
wont be revived and the game is over. The voice doesnt think so and the
castle begins to disappear and everyone is now standing in a cybernetic backdrop
and off in front of them, a distortion appears and out from it appears a dragon
creature with 5 different heads, the Five God Dragon! (L?? 5000/4000)
Joey explains that the dragon shouldn't have been
revived and their voice, who are apparently the Big 5, explain that the game
just has all kinds of suprises. Kaiba sees that the Big 5 have been
working hard and Yami Yugi and the others accept this challenge. Mai
starts out and calls out her Harpie Lady Sisters and as soon as theyre out
they're writhing in pain. The Big 5 say for them to look under their feet
and on the ground is a picture of the Lord of Dragons. The Big 5 explain
that this is a place for dragons only and a place where only dragons can fight.
Kaiba flat out laughs at them, calling them brave for challenging him on "his"
field and he calls out his Blue Eyes. Joey calls out his Red Eyes Black
Dragon, Mai calls out her Harpie's Pet Dragon, and Yami Yugi calls out his Curse
of Dragon. All four of their dragons attack and so does the Five God
Dragon and the attacks do no damage. Yami Yugi figures that the five heads
are independant with their own attack power. The Big 5 decide they need to
hand out some punishment for this and their first target it Mokuba and one of
the dragons attacks Mokuba. Joey sends his Red Eyes out to block the
attack of the Five God Dragon and in doing so, he reduces his lifeline down to
0. Joey gets a real sick look over to his face and he tells Yugi as he's
fading that the rest is up to him. Joey fades away and Mai says that
attacking the player is a foul.
The Big 5 laugh, saying that they make their own rules. Yami Yugi
only says that when the strongest dragon teams up, the evil god will die.
He thinks it's a clue to defeating the Five God Dragon. Yami Yugi
sends out his Gaia the Fierce Knight and his Ritual of the Chaos Soldier.
He uses Gaia and his Curse of Dragon to bring out his Chaos Soldier.
As soon as the Chaos Soldier touches the ground he starts cringing in
agony. The Big 5 again explain that only dragons can fight on this
field and asks if he wants his Chaos Soldier crushed. Mai buts in
and says she wont let them touch Yugi, their opponent is her and she
attacks with her Pet Dragon and the Five God Dragon attacks and knocks the
Pet Dragon's attack away and destroys it. Mai falls to the ground
and says to Yami Yugi that she doesnt know what he's doing but she trusts
him, then she fades away too. Yami Yugi says that her help wont go
to waste and he turns and tells Kaiba to bring out his Blue Eyes Ultimate
Dragon now. Kaiba is insulted thinking that's an order and says he
doesnt need them, he can defeat them by himself. The Big 5 say that
Kaiba will disappear right along with his Blue Eyes and they fire at Kaiba
himself, not his Blue Eyes. Yugi tries to tell Kaiba to bring out
the Ultimate Dragon and Kaiba tells him to shut up. At the last
moment, Mokuba pushes his brother out of the way of the attack and takes
the attack for him. Mokuba tries to stand but falls and as Kaiba
tries to catch him, he fades away.
Kaiba stares off into space and then screams for his brother and falls to
the ground. The Big 5 taunt Kaiba, saying that they will send him
off to where his brother is. Yami Yugi tells Kaiba to stand up and
see what his brother did for him. Kaiba can only think of revenge
and is hellbent on destroying the dragon and the Big 5 now. Kaiba
sends out his other 2 Blue Eyes and they form into the Blue Eyes Ultimate
Dragon (4500/3800) but the Big 5 see that it cant defeat the Five God
Dragon. Yami Yugi explains the legend about the dragon again.
The Big 5 finally get it, seeing that when the Ultimate Dragon and the
Chaos Soldier fuse, a monster will be summoned. Yami Yugi calls out
his Polymerization and the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon and his Chaos Soldier
start to fuse. The Big 5 attack as the monster is forming but it
does no good as Kaiba and Yami Yugi's new monster is summoned...
Master of Dragon Knight (L?? 5000/4000) After its
summoned, the monster draws energy from Mai's and Joey's dragons and even
from the Five God Dragon. Yami Yugi explains that Master of Dragon
Knight draws its power from defeated dragons, or something like that and
says to Mokuba, Mai and Joey that this is their power. Master of
Dragon Knight is now at 9000/4000. Kaiba and Yami Yugi attack with
the Master of Dragon Knight and it does it's attack, Galaxy Crusher, and
destroys the Five God Dragon. Everything then goes black and Yami
Yugi and Kaiba begin falling into the darkness. Yami Yugi opens his
eyes and is now back at Adina's castle, with all the townspeople cheering
for Kaiba and Yami Yugi. Adina thanks them for defeating the dragon,
now their land will be at peace. Yami Yugi asks where are Joey and
the others, and Kaiba says he's never felt a lonelier victory in his life.
Adina says that with the evil dragon gone, she can thank them and she
transforms into the Mystical Elf and begins chanting a spell. Soon a
beam of light appears in front of Yami Yugi and Kaiba and as the light
fades, Joey, Mokuba, Mai and the fairy are all laying on the ground.
Everyone is happy to see each other and a portal forms in the castle wall
beside them. Kaiba walks toward it saying that looks like an exit.
Joey says it wouldnt hurt Kaiba to say thanks. Kaiba only says that
they couldnt have beaten the Five God Dragon without them, but Kaiba wants
to ask Yugi something. He wants to know about the Master of Dragon
Knight, Yugi knew about it from the start. Yugi says that as long as
we believe, the cards will repay our kindness. He just believed in
his cards then and figures that Kaiba did too. Kaiba stares a moment
and walks through the portal, with Mokuba tailing him. Adina, still
as the Mystical Elf, thanks them again for their help and Joey, Mai and
Yami Yugi say farewell to her and the fairy and step through the portal.
Right then, Kemo and his boys have gotten the door open
and Tristan tries still to hold them back when the lids of the game chairs
open and out step a groggy Joey, Yugi and Mokuba. Kemo and his men
start backing off and Tea wonders where is Kaiba. Yugi says that
he's fine and he should be awake now too. Mokuba tells Kemo that his
boss' plan didnt work and Kemo and his boys run out of there.
Everyone then hears another voice and Mai walks out of a connecting room,
groggy too. Mokuba thanks them all for their help. Joey says
it's nothing and they all start to feel hungry, so Joey suggests that they
all go out for some ramen.

Episode Rating (1-10) 7.7 That was a lot better
than the first two parts of theis mini series!!! Dragon Master
Knight and Five God Dragon are two of the most powerful monsters in Dule
Monsters yet! Too bad they weren't used in an actual duel...
