The First Yugioh Movie -

     It doesn't center around the duel monsters as much as it does friendship and courage. Yugi helps another boy overcome his fears of losing.
 

Summary:

    Shogo buys an extremely rare card, Red Eyes Black Dragon! With this card, it won't be hard to lose.. right? Except for one problem, Shogo has never battled before! He's too scared of losing.. and with this card, even more scared of losing it. With this card, if the person has the courage, he will have the potential to win. Later, Yugi and his friends are in a restaurant after school and Yugi and Joey are dueling as he explains the rules to Miho. Tristan is more focused on Miho though *_*! Outside, a couple of kids are picking on Shogo and Yugi decides to intervene because he's also been picked on by a lot of kids. They run out to help him, but then Shogo announces that he has the Red Eyes Black Dragon card. No one can believe that he has such a rare card.. or the fact that he's not planning to do much with it.

     Meanwhile, Seto Kaiba has decided to have a tournament. He has invited his old foes as well as some new ones that he would like to challenge.. including the Red Eyes Black Dragon card holder...... Shogo! Yugi also discovers that he received an invitation and is excited to go not knowing that Kaiba is holding the tournament. The next day, he and Joey are talking about it but Joey didn't receive an invitation and is a bit disappointed. But then, the boys hear a sound of struggle and immediately go to help. It's Shogo! A man is pulling him by the arm but Shogo is resenting saying he doesn't want to go. Joey grabs the man's arm and twists it and asks him what he's doing. The man says he works for Seto Kaiba and that his job is to force everyone invited to Kaiba's tournament to go. Joey is even more upset after hearing that SHOGO got invited and hesitated. The man punches Joey in the stomach. Then he turns to Yugi but Yugi also says he wants no part in Kaiba's little game if this is what he's doing. Just when the man is about to grab Yugi, Joey steps in and punches the guy and Yugi and Shogo run for it. They stop in an alley but are faced with yet another man in a suit and get... really beat up. Joey returns only to find that the man has taken off with Yugi's puzzle and Shogo's Red Eyes Black Dragon. He is determined to get all of it back and goes after the man. He confronts him and... they start to fight. Meanwhile, Kaiba is pretty bored and waiting for Yugi and the kid with the Red Eyes Black Dragon to arrive for some fun. When Yugi and Shogo find Joey, he is pretty beaten up too. He managed to get the Red Eyes Black Dragon, but not Yugi's puzzle. Yugi is mad that Joey got beaten too and even more upset at Kaiba. Shogo tells them that he can't or won't battle because he's too scared of losing. So if he never battles.. he never loses. Yugi decides to go fight Kaiba and teach him a lesson.

     When they get to Kaiba's Yugi gets his puzzle back and he transforms into Yami Yugi. Joey and Shogo go sit and watch. Yugi and Kaiba go into his virtual battling system and start battling. It seems to be going well for Yugi until.. Kaiba draws his Blue Eyes White Dragon. Yugi uses his Black Magician and his magical hats and hides a trump card under one of the hats. Kaiba orders the Blue Eyes White Dragon to attack one of the hats.. concealing the trump card which holds the monster down. Black Magician then defeats the Blue Eyes White Dragon.. but Kaiba has 2 more. He brings the one Yugi defeated back from the dead and then binds the three together and says that he's basically won. Yugi draws his next card... and it's the Red Eyes Black Dragon!!!! Shogo and Joey are pretty grim and Shogo doesn't want to see Yugi lose, and starts to leave but then Joey tells him to stop and look... Yugi has drawn Shogo's Red Eyes Black Dragon. Yugi, meanwhile, uses his defense monsters but each is blasted away by the Blue Eyes White Dragons. Kaiba finally forces Yugi to attack by making Yugi's defense monsters become attack monsters. Shogo finally realizes that Yugi needs him in order to have the Red Eyes Black Dragon to work.. and finds the courage to tell Yugi to go for it.. for the both of them. Yugi merges the Red Eyes Black Dragon with the Synthesis card that held Red Eyes Black Dragon's potential to win to create a brilliantly powerful creature which blasts the Blue Eyes White Dragons... concealing Yugi's victory! Yugi and his friends leave, but Kaiba tells him the battle isn't over. Shogo, meanwhile, has found it in himself to duel with others!!
