Little Black Book of Poems

 ~Black~
Black enwraps my heart
Just like my sight
I hate it sometimes
But I love it just the same
It may be scary at first
Yet it comforts me
Protects me from the hurt
Loves me for me
I will never be rejected again
I may never go back to the light

~Stranger~
You are a stranger to me
Yet I feel like I know you
Like you are a part of me
How can this be?
How can you, stranger, be like that?
We have never met before
Yet as I gaze into your grey blue eyes
I feel my heart become complete
Hesitantly, I touch your face
I feel a missing piece fall back into place
You truly are my soul mate

~Love~
What it Love?
Is it trust and care?
Or just plain pleasure?
Maybe, it is only pain?
I have never fallen in love before
Could you tell me what it is like?
Is it truly as beautiful as people claim?
Or is it harsh like winter hail?
How am I to know?
I don't like rejection
I don't think I can handle that
And Love has too much of that
Maybe I will now refuse to be in love
...What is this?
You wish to teach me about Love
Perhaps I will love this one time
And if I do not like it
I will never love again

~Life~
 

How do I live it?
How do I survive?
How do I love?
So many questions, so little time
Today I live it like my last

~Live~

I live my life
I live for the past
For times to come
Moving from the shadows
To the light of day
Yet, I live mostly for you

~Sacrifice~
 

I give you my heart
My love and soul
I if could, I would give my life
I give everything I have
Just to see you once more
I give myself to you to hold

~White~

It is so pure
I cannot touch it
In fear I will taint it
I am too black, too dark
Yet you are white
You hold your hand out to me
You have come to me
Maybe one day I will be white
To be white once again

~Time~

When you think of it
We don’t have much of it
Not that I mind
I live my life like each day is my last
Time holds many secrets for you and me
Time is something people want for eternity
But like time it never will last
Let me remember these times, these moments
These are my happiest moments in life

~Sorrow~

I feel woe
More sorrow than I have ever had
All because of you
You have broken my heart
Unknowingly at that
You took my love and threw it away
Why must I fall in love with you?


~Crimson~

It’s on my hands
Staining them with such intensity
Is it Blood?
The Blood of those I slain
Blood of my murdered parents
The Blood of my self-inflicted wounds
Or is it anger?
Anger for being weak
Anger for letting my parents die
Perhaps, it is the color that blinds me
Perhaps, it is Vengeance


~Adieu~

One word, two syllables
Goodbye
Goodbye forever
Go with God
A final Farewell
That is what I said
That is what you replied
Yet, somewhere along the live
It is not truly goodbye


~Grace~

They say angels have it
They say cats have it
I say you have it
Graceful as the day
Careful as the light
You keep my nightmares at bay
That is grace
That is you


~Angels~

Guardians and the protected
Leaders and the followers
They are all of them
Beauty and Grace
Avenger and Just
They have them all
Love and Woe
Depression and Life
They suffer them all
One of them is You


~Eyes~

The doors to the soul
Yours is shut tight
Behind those glorious orbs
But in private
You open them
They overwhelm me
The love and longing
The best things are always behind Locked Doors


~Awkward~

Weird, awkward
That describes it
You are frustrated
Just by a simple Delay
Do you have no patience?
You are always stressed
My friend you redefine Awkward


~Technology~

You either hate or love it
Be frustrated or carefree
You however hate it
Why won’t it finish?
Why won’t it work?
You say these with such anger
I fear you are going insane


~God~

They say he is perfect
That he once was one of us
To me
You are God
You are Perfection


~Moonlight~

A reflection of light
A mirror of the sun
Yet in the night
It shows the peacefulness of the Dark
I adore it
However I shun it
I do not deserve it
Just like I do not deserve you
For you are my sun
But my life is all but a light filled day
It is a cloudy eternal night
The only place where there is no Perfect Light


~Trust~

To trust is to love
And I love
Does that mean I trust?
If that is so then
I trust you
I love you


~Final Goodbye~

I look to the sky to see the sun
It is rising now
I look at the moon
It lingers now
I look to you
I turn the other cheek
I watch the night fade
And I fade as well
But like the night
I will come again
Mainly in your dreams
Mainly in your thoughts
Whatever you do
Do not forget me


~Lies~

The world is covered in lies and deceit
It not for only for me
There is no loyalty, only betrayal
There is no love, only hate
There is no trust, only prejudice
There is no you, only me


~Survive~

The Blood flows to the ground
From a wound I have yet to wound
Alas my life is done
Nothing is going to come
Yet I must live
I must survive
If only for you
If only for me
I refuse to die just yet
It is time to reveal a secret long kept


~Death~

I long for it
I desire it
Yet I am bound to live
I have nothing left
You do not care
My family is gone
Why must I live on?
I have nothing in life
Only Death


~Fall~

I fall into the abyss
Where the darkness embraces me
I keep falling
I never land
I am doomed to fall for eternity
But it’s not really that bad
I fly
I am free
Yet I dread the day I land


~Fly~

To fly is a dream of mine
A way to be free
A way to forget
I look to the sky
Imagine myself there
Flying to the moon
To Jupiter
I want to fly
I want to be free


~Gold~

It is precious
It is valuable
It is your hair
So soft and elegant
Did it come to you when you slept?
Was it once a sunbeam?
I believe that it was a gift from Apollo


~Lavender~

They say it is good for stress
A simple sniff and your headache is gone
It is also the color of your eyes
A lovely amethyst gem
A vibrant violet
One glance and I am trapped
Trapped in an icy glare
Trapped in a cold stare
Yet behind it all
Lavender eyes say you love me


~Light~

Alas it is so bright
I dare not glance at it
On wondrous Light
Have you come to take me?
Have you come to take me away?
To the moon?
Or perhaps
You have come to heal me
To bring me back to life
I do not know I just ask of you this
Please make it quick


~Boredom~

Seemingly endless like the sea
Never able to touch the other side
Yet no matter how wide
Action will bite at your heals


~Sword~

It is an extension of one’s body
It is your shield and weapon
With the power to defend or kill
Deadly as it is beautiful
Lovely to hold but too heavy to keep
Too heavy with burden
It has the power of vengeance and evil
It has the way of defense and glory
Maybe that is why it was made for you


~Hate~

I hate you with all my strength and will
I hate you for what you do to me
I hate you for what you make me feel
In the night, in the day
Why won’t the feelings just go away?
I don’t need them
I don’t need you
Then how come I always fall in love with you?
