The basic idea of mech strat is a tabletop strategy game.
Two sides or more modern armies fight each other in battle.
There are two forms of Mech Strat:
One is a quick, single battle in which a chosen amount of money is spent and symbols are drawn on graph paper.
A longer campain style of Mech Strat is the other type.
It contains a series of battles, and a feature called Generals.
A General is like a character.
He gets stronger the more battles he fights and grants the ability to salvage money from dead units.
Both gametypes use the same combat system and prices.
