This is a very indepth character guide. It might not be terribly organized or pretty to look at, but the content is wonderful. It has a list of every character, with a brief description of them. The central characters have a separate page with their quotes and a time line of their actions.
This site has a lot of Hermione and Snape specific links. Most of those links take you to overviews of their personalities or the best ways to write them. Ashwinder also has general Harry Potter references too, though. Check it out.
I bow to the Lexicon! If anyone is trying to write Harry Potter stuff without this site, you're missing a valuable resource. This has everything you might need on it, from class schedules to potion ingredients. It's fantastic.
