Day 16

“ That was good. Here, let me help you with the dishes.” Anakin said, getting up from the table, as he grabbed his plate.

“ Thank you. So, what do you want to do today? I heard that there is a festival going on, just on the other side of town. You want to go?” Padme asked, as she took her plate and headed for kitchen.

“ I really didn’t have anything planned for the day. Sure, I think the festival would be fun. I saw a flyer for it in the lobby of the hotel yesterday.” Anakin put the dirty dishes into the sink.

“ Put these in the washer, and I will have to soak these, before putting them into the washer.” Padme nodded over to a small stack of dishes that was sitting on the counter.

“ Ok. Once you done with that, why don’t you go and get dressed. Once you are dressed, we can leave for the festival.” Anakin pulled open the door of the washer and began putting the dirty dishes inside.

“ Ok. See you in a few minutes, then.” Padme leaned forward and kissed Anakin, before heading to the refresher to get ready for the day.

Twenty minutes later, Padme came out of the bedroom already dressed and saw that Anakin wasn’t in the living area. She reached out with the Force and found him in the other refresher getting cleaned up.

“ So, how do I look?” Anakin said, as he came into the room ten minutes later.

“ You look handsome as ever.” Padme said and came over to Anakin and began kissing him.

“ Why, thank you and might I add that you look as beautiful as ever, Milady.” Anakin pulled Padme closer to him and was about to kiss her again, just as the doorbell began to ring.

“ Um… Anakin, the door. It seems it’s our new neighbors and they are here to see if we want to go somewhere with them.” Padme said, as she read the people’s minds, as they waited for someone to answer the door.

“ You are scary and please don’t be doing that. We are trying to blend in this town.” Anakin gave Padme one more kiss, before heading over to the door and opening it up. Sure enough, their new neighbors were standing there.

“ Morning, Anakin. I hope we are not interrupting anything” John asked, as the door opened up and he saw Anakin standing there.

“ Morning, John. No, not at all. Please come in. Morning, Sarah.” Anakin stepped aside and let the couple inside the house.

“ Morning, John, Sarah. Please come in and have a seat. Can I get you some tea or Caf?” Padme stood up from the couch that she was sitting on.

“ Morning, Padme. Thank you. Tea would be nice.” Sarah said, as she came into the living area.

“ Ok and for you, John? Tea or Caf.” Padme asked, as Anakin and John came into the room.

“ Caf would be good. Thank you, Padme.” John said, as he followed Anakin over to the couch. “ Ok and for you, Anakin?” Padme asked, as she gave Anakin a wanted smile.

“ I will have Caf, please.” Anakin sat down in his new chair.

“ Ok. I will be back in a few minutes.” Padme looked at the small group of people, before turning and started out for the kitchen.

“ Here, let me help you, Padme.” Sarah followed Padme out of the room and into the kitchen.

“ So, how are you liking the house?” Sarah asked Padme, as they came into the kitchen.

“ I love it. I really love the quietness that we have here.” Padme said, as she got four cups out of the cabinet. She put them under the Caf machine and hit the button that had the Caf in it. ,p> “ Really? I like it ok. The only time we have fun around here, is when we have festivals. We have four of them for each season.” Sarah said, as Padme handed her the first cup of Caf.

“ Yeah, it’s good to have a quiet place, mostly when there is lots of people around me, most of the time. The cream and sweetener is in those containers behind you.” Padme nodded over to the counter behind Sarah, as she put the other cup under the Caf and pushed the button.

“ Ok. You must come from the city. I come from a huge town myself.” Sarah began spooning the creamer into the Caf, before she put in the sweetener.

“ Yes and no. I come from a huge family, and from a huge city too. Can you add sweetener to this, please?” Padme put the other cup on the counter beside her, before getting the empty cup and putting it under the tea spout of Caf machine.

“ Wow ,a huge family. I only have a sister and that’s it. Now, John comes from a huge family. His family owns the huge winery just up the road. Well, the road dead ends at their driveway.” Sarah said, as she add sweetener to the other Caf.

“ Ok. Maybe Anakin and I will come up and see the winery.” Padme said, as she finished up with both teas, before grabbing the serving tray.

“ Ok, that would be great. We do give tours, and tasting tours too. I will give you the times and days we are open to the public.” Sarah put the two cups of Caf on the tray, as Padme put the creamer and sweetener in her tea and handed Sarah her tea ,so she could do whatever she does with her tea.

“ Ok, that sounds great. Well, lets give this to the guys, before they get cold.” Padme put her cup on the tray, before picking it up and taking it out to the living room, where the guys were sitting and watching some kind of game on the holo-screne.

Padme and Sarah walked back into the living area, as the guys yelled for their team, who just made a field goal.

“ All right! I wish I could have made a bet with Obi-Wan.” Anakin said, as Padme came up to him and John and put the tray down on the coffee table.

“ You know, you guys are not supposed to do that, Anakin, but hey, what the others don’t know, won’t hurt them.” Padme gave him a somewhat stern look, before laughing just a little.

“ Yeah I know, but this is something just the two of us do sometime. So, what do you guys have planned for today?” Anakin said, as he took the cup that Padme picked up and handed towards him.

“ Oh, the reason why we are here, was to ask you guys, if you would like to join us. We are heading for the festival that is going on.” John said, taking his drink from Sarah.

“ You know what? The funny thing is, Padme and I were thinking about going there this morning. Sure, that sounds like a great idea. This way, you could show us around some too.” Anakin said, taking a sip of his Caf.

“ Really? Sure, that sounds great. They will be opening up in about 10 minutes.” John said, as he too took a sip of his Caf.

“ Oh, I told Padme about that winery. Could you remind me to give her the hours of the tour times that we have for the public?” Sarah said, as she sat down next to John on the couch.

“ Ok. You know they don’t have to have tour with the public. You guys can have a private tour, as friends.” John said, as he took another sip of his Caf.

“ That sounds good to us. I did hear there was a winery located around here, and I was going to look into it and see if there was tours of the place.” Anakin said, taking another sip of his drink, before looking over to Padme and giving her a smile.

“ That would be us they were talking about.The winery is located at the end of the road, it dead ends at the drive way.” John patted Sarah’s leg, before turning his attention back to the game.

They sat there and watched the rest of the game. Of course, Anakin’s team won the game by a huge lead over the other team.

“ Well, if you ready, we should get going, before it gets really crowded.” John said, as the game came to an end.

“ Sure, sounds like a plan. So, do you want to go together or take separate speeders?” Anakin asked, as he sat his empty cup down on the tray in front of him.

“ We can ride together. It would be lot easier for us, so that way you don’t have to get out your speeder.” Sarah said, as she put her cup down on the tray.

“ Ok, that sounds good to me. Well, if you excuse me, for a couple of minutes, I will be with you guys.” Anakin said, getting up, while Padme got up and picked up the tray from the coffee table.

“ Ok. We will go and start up the speeder and wait for you both there.” John said, getting up and helping Sarah up from the couch too.

“ Ok. We will be there in a couple of minutes. Just let me start the dish washer.” Padme said, before heading into the kitchen.

John and Sarah headed out of the house and to their speeder. John got into the driver’s seat, while Sarah got into the back seat. A couple of minutes later, Anakin and Padme came out of the house and got into the speeder. John started up the speeder and they headed off towards the other side of the town, where the festival was being held.

“ That was fun. So, what’s for lunch?” Anakin said, as they got off the bumper speeders.

“ That sounds like a good idea to get something to eat. We can go to the food court area and see what that have to offer.” John said, as they walked down the exit ramp of the ride.

“ I never had a festival with food before.” Padme said, as they started to head off towards the food area of the festival.

“ Same here.” Anakin said, as he grabbed Padme’s hand and held it, as they started to walk.

“ They have a lot of interesting kinds of food. My favorite is fried Spice Cake on a stick.” Sarah said, as they came into the area that had all the different food vendors.

“ That sounds good to me. I really love Spice Cake.” Anakin said, as he stopped in the middle of the semi-circle and began looking around at all the different type of food that was being sold.

To get the taste of all the food that was being sold, they noticed that there were people giving away free samples of what was their main item on their menu. So, the small group went around to each place and took sample of each food until they figured out what they wanted to eat for lunch. Twenty minutes later, they were sitting down at a table and eating the food that they had bought at the different venues.

“ This is good. Would you like a to have a taste, Angel?” Anakin asked, as he held out his fried Dewback and veggie shesh-a-bob to Padme ,so she could take a small bite.

“ You’re right, it is good. Try this.” Padme held out a Dewback wrap to him for to have a bite too.

“ That is good too. Well, am off to get me a Spice Cake. Do you want some?” Anakin asked Padme, as he stood up from the table.

“ Not right now. Am stuffed.” Padme smiled up at Anakin.

“ Ok, be back soon.” Anakin leaned down and gave Padme a kiss.

“ Ok, see you soon then.” Padme giggled, just before he kissed her again.

Padme watched Anakin head off towards the vender, who was selling the fried Spice Cake. Then, she began to wonder what was going on with her sister and Obi-Wan, hoping that they were safe. Then, she also remembered that this weekend was the Senator’s Ball, which means that she would be missing it all because she was in hiding.

“ So, what do you do, Padme?” Sarah asked her, as she sat there and watched the guys go get them something to eat.

“ At the moment, I don’t have a job. I guess you can say that, am a house wife.” Padme said, as she looked over to Anakin, who was talking to an elderly man.

“ I see. You know, we are always looking for help at the winery, as gathering up the grapes from the vineyard, so that way, they can be brought in to make the wine.” Sarah said, as the guys came back to the table.

“ I have to think about it, but I will let you know in a couple of days.” Padme said, as Anakin back and sat back down beside her.

“ Think about what?” Anakin asked, as he took a bite of his fried Spice Cake.

“ I just asked Padme, if she would like to help out at the winery. So, what about you, Anakin? What do you do?” Sarah asked, as John sat down beside and handed her a drink.

“ I see. Well, I repair things.” Anakin said, as he took another bite, before he felt Padme wiped off the powder stuff that was on the Cake.

“ You know, we could use someone to fix a couple of things at the winery.” John said, as he looked at the couple sitting in front of him.

“ Well, I would, but we do have a couple of weeks, before we are leaving on a month vacation, with both our families.” Anakin said, as he finished his Spice Cake.

“ Ok. Hope that you have a great time. Well, are we ready to do more rides?” John asked, as he stood up from the table.

“ Sure, that sounds like a plan to me. Ready to have more fun, Padme?” Anakin asked, as he stood up too and held out his hand to Padme.

“ That sounds good to me too.” Padme took Anakin’s hand, stood up and then put her arms around Anakin’s neck, pulling him closer to her.

“ I love you, Padme.” Anakin said, as he wrapped his arms around her and pulled Padme closer to him and began kissing her.

Five hours later, Anakin and Padme walked into the house, after saying goodbye to John and Sarah.

“ What a great day. Well, it’s time to go to bed.” Anakin said, as they walked into their bedroom.

“ Yeah, it was great day. You are right about bed. All I want to do is go to sleep.” Padme began to yawn, as she sat down on the bed and started taking off her shoes.

“ I agree with you.” Anakin said, as he too yawned.

After they got undressed, they climbed into the bed. Anakin pulled Padme into his arms and they fell sound asleep in each other’s arms.
