Padme was sitting out on the bedroom balcony, overlooking lake and drinking her tea. She was also watching some of the water creatures coming to the surface of the water, as they were chasing smaller fish.
“That is a beautiful sunrise.” Anakin came out of the bedroom and stepped out on the balcony, with his cup of Caf.
"Yes, it is. Remember when we sat out here, the following morning after we got married?” Padme looked up at Anakin and she noticed that he was just wearing his pajamas bottoms.
“Yes, that was a great morning. We even made love out here too. So, what are you going to be doing today?” Anakin came over, leaned over to Padme, giving her a very passionate kiss.
“Well, at the moment.... If you keep kissing me like this, I will have to take off those pants and make love to you right here.” Padme looked up and gave him a look that she meant what she was telling.
“Oh, really?” Anakin looked at her, before he began kissing her again. To his amusement, he felt Padme’s right hand reach between his legs and taking a firm hold on his semi-hard dick.
“Excuse, Milady, but her Majesty the Queen is on the Holo-Com for you.” C3-PO stepped out onto the balcony.
“Um . . . thank you, 3-PO. I will be right there.” Padme let go of Anakin, and Anakin stepped back with a slight huff.
“3-PO, could you please bring breakfast up here?” Anakin sat down and put his cup down on the small table.
“Yes, Master Anakin.” C3-PO bowed, before turning around and heading back into the room.
“Well, I better go and see what Kylantha wants. I will be back here for breakfast.” Padme stood up, came over to Anakin and gave him a kiss.
“Ok. Oh, if she wants you to come back into service, what are you going to tell her?” Anakin looked up at Padme and took her hand and held it.
"Well, if she asks me, I will just have to tell her sorry, but I am retired for good.” Padme squeezed Anakin’s hand, just before he lifted it to his lips and gave it a kiss.
“Go and see what she wants. I will be sitting right here, doing some meditation.” Anakin let go of Padme’s hand and closed his eyes.
“Ok, see you soon. I think I will do that too, when I come back here.” Padme nodded before turning away from Anakin, heading inside and going to the Holo-Cam so she can see what the Queen wanted.
Stepping into the Communication room, Padme made sure that her robe was tied around her, before she hit the pause button to un-pause the Holo-Cam.
“Good morning, Padme. I hope I did not wake you up this early in the morning?” Queen Kylantha’s image came up in front of Padme.
“Um . . . morning, Kylantha. No, I was already awake and just waiting for my breakfast is all. So, what can I do for you this morning?” Padme looked at the other woman’s image.
“That is good to hear. Why I am calling you is, to invite you to a lunch meeting this afternoon.” Kylantha gave Padme a smile.
“Um . . . I see. Well, I have to get someone to watch the twins for me, before I can give you my answer.” Padme returned the Queen’s smile, and hoped that the woman understands that her family is very important to her.
“Sure and I understand. I do hope to see you at lunch.” Kylantha nodded, before there was a knock on her door and her head of security and hand maidens came into the room.
“I will let you know in hour or two. I have to wait to until my parents wake up, before I call them.” Padme saw the hand maiden come up behind the Queen.
“Ok, I understand. Have a great morning.” Kylantha nodded, before she disconnected the Holo-Cam.
“Just great. Why can't she and everybody just leave me alone, so I can live my life in total peace?” Padme mumbled to herself, as she walked out of the small room and back out to the bedroom balcony, finding breakfast waiting for her.
“So, what did she want?” Anakin opened one eye and looked up at her.
“She wants me to come to the Palace for a lunch meeting. We both know what that means. She will not be very happy when I tell her no way, am I coming back into government service. So now, I will just have to wait for Mom and Dad to wake up, so I can call them to see, if they can watch Luke and Leia.” Padme sat down and poured her some more tea.
“I do have a feeling that is what she wants for you. Hey, I can watch them” Anakin turned towards the small table and lifted up the silver cover off his plate.
“Are you sure that you want to watch them? I thought you were going over to your Mom’s to help Cliegg with that water pump and fence?” Padme took the cover off her plate and picked up her knife, so she could butter her toast.
“I know that I will be there. I am sure my Mom would love to see the twins. Yes, I know it is your parents' week to watch them, but I would like to spend time with them.” Anakin also took his knife and began buttering his toast too.
“Ok, you can watch them and I will try not stay long. I will just have to let Kylantha that I can’t stay long.” Padme took a small bite of her toast.
Anakin just nodded his head, as he too took a bite of his toast, before moving on to his eggs and took a sip of his Caf.
“Good morning, sweeties. How would you like to spend the day with Daddy and Grammy?” Padme walked into the twins’ room and saw them standing up in their cribs.
“Yeah!” both twins yell out together.
“Ok, we need to get you dressed and fed before you guys and Daddy go to Grammy’s. Mommy has some things to do this afternoon, so I will not have lunch with you both.” Padme picked up Leia first and put her down on the floor then picked up Luke.
“Why, Mommy?” Leia raised her arms, so Padme could pick her up.
"Well, Mommy was called to the Palace to see the Queen. She wants me to have lunch with her.” Padme picked Leia up and took her over to the changing table.
“Oh, but you will come to Grammy’s house and be with us?” Leia raised her arms up again, so Padme could take off her night clothes.
“Yes, I will be there. Oh, morning, Janna. I can get them undressed, if you want to start their bath.” Padme looked up as the nanny came into the room.
“Morning, Padme. Sorry, I am late. My mother called me and she wanted to make sure that I still had the day off.” Janna came into the room.
“It is ok. I was just letting them know that I was just called by the Queen and she wants me to have lunch with her.” Padme took off Leia’s diaper and cleaned up, before picking her up and putting her down on the floor.
“Oh. Then, I can call my mother and tell that you had unexpected call from the Queen and she wants you to have lunch with her.” Janna it the button that will start the water.
“It is ok. You go and see your parents. Anakin will be watching them. I know he is going to his mother’s place, but he wants to take them with him.” Padme picked up Luke and he raised his arm,s so she could take off his night clothes. Then, she laid him down, so she could take off his diaper and clean him up. P> “Oh, ok. Thank you, Padme. Come here, munchkin. It is bath time.” Janna gave her boss a smile, before picking up Leia.
“You are welcome. Now, you two be good and take your bath. You also be good for Daddy and Grammy.” Padme looked at Luke and Leia, as they sat in the tub of water and Janna began soaping a washcloth.
The twins just nodded, and Padme came over to them and gave them kisses, before walking out of the bedroom.
“Are they up?” Anakin fastened the belt on his pants.
“Yes and right now they are having their bath. Once they are clean and dressed, they will have their breakfast, then you can take them to your mother’s.” Padme went over to the vanity table and picked up her brushed and brushed her hair.
“Ok. See you when you are done with lunch.” Anakin came up to Padme and pulled her into his arms and gave her a kiss.
“Ok, see you later. I love you.” Padme wrapped her arms around Anakin.
"I love you too. Um . . . you better go now or you will be very late for that lunch meeting.” Anakin gave her a smile and kiss one more time, before letting her go.
Padme left the house and took a speeder to the city of Theeds and took another speeder to the Palace.
“Padme, it is so good to see you. Please have a seat.” Kylantha came up to Padme and gave her a friendly hug.
“Thank you and it was good to see you too, Kylantha. Governor, it is good to see you again.” Padme looked at the table and noticed that the Governor was sitting at the table, along with a couple of the Naboo’s Planetary Senators.
“Milady, it is good to see you too. Please have a seat.” the Governor nodded to Padme and gave her a warm smile.
Kylantha and Padme both sat down at the table and the kitchen staff brought out the food and lunch began.
“Ok, there is a reason why we have you here.” the Governor looked at Padme, as he put his fork down as he finished up his lunch.
“I had a feeling that there is a reason why I am here. I think I know what it is, so let me tell you straight out. Do not ask me to come out of retirement, because I will not do that, sorry. I do not want to have anything to do with Government, ever again.” Padme looked around the table and she could see the look on the faces of the people that was sitting there with her. She knew then, that is what they wanted from her.
“I see and I understand. Then. I guess I will have to find someone else to take over the Senator’s seat. There is one thing I would like for you to do for me, and no, you don’t have to come out of retirement. I would like for you to give something to one of the Senators on Coruscant.” Kylantha did have a sad look on her face, when she realized that Padme had her mind set on not coming back to Government.
“I see. I may do what you ask of me, but it does depend on who the Senator is. If it is someone I know, then yes, I will do it. If I do not know who it is, then no, I will not do it, sorry.” Padme looked at Kylantha first and then over to the Governor and she saw them both nod to each other.
“Ok, that is fair enough. The Senator is a good friend of yours. It is Senator Bail Organa.” Kylantha looked at the ex-Queen of Naboo.
“Ok. I will do it, and I will have a bodyguard with me too. I hate to eat and run, but I promised my kids that I would spend the day with them.” Padme looked at the people and then stood up from the table.
“Thank you. I will give you the data that Senator Organa is waiting on, in the next week.” Kylantha nodded and also stood up and motioned that the meeting was over and everyone was dismissed.
Padme just nodded and said goodbye to everyone. She headed to the Valley and joined the Lars family, Anakin and the twins for the rest of the day and had dinner with Anakin’s family.
Two hours after dinner, Anakin and Padme, along with the twins went home. The twins went to bed, as did Padme and Anakin. After an hour of making love to each other, they cuddle into each other’s arms, drifting off to sleep.
