The three Padawans got back into the land speeder and Anakin started it up but before he could going anywhere he thought he heard his name.
Anakin! a girls voice called out to him.
Oh, hey, Amee and Kister. It is great to see you guys. These are my friend,s Achsah and Nala. Achsah, Nala, this are my friends, Kister and Amee. Anakin introduced the old friends to his new friends.
Well, it is nice to meet you both. Achsah nodded to the two people, who was standing next to the speeder.
So, what are you doing here, Anakin and are you still studying at that place, called the um . . . Jedi Temple? I think that is where your mom said that you were at. Amee looked at Anakin and even the two girls that were sitting in the speeder.
Yes, I am still studying at the Jedi Temple. You know where my mom is and you still talk to her? Anakin looked at the girl in somewhat shock that Amee would hang out with his mother.
Sure. She tutors us in our studies, and we see her twice a week. I will be heading out to Lars tomorrow. Amee smiled at Anakin, as she remembers how nice Anakins mother is and she is always helpful in helping out Anakins old friends.
Wow. Well, we are heading out there now, so we will see you tomorrow then. Anakin looked at his two friends and he also noticed that Kister really did not say anything to anyone and he felt that there was a little sadness coming from his friend.
Oh, ok, then. We will see you guys tomorrow. Tell your mom, hey from us, and it was really nice to meet you both. Amee nodded to Achsah and Nala, before she waved bye and turned away from the speeder and began walking away before Anakin could say good bye.
It was really great to see you again, Anakin. Nice to meet the two of you also and I will see you tomorrow. I better get going, I have a few things to do before lunch. Kister looked at the two girls and then nodded to Anakin, before he turned away from the speeder and followed Amee down the street.
Um . . . nice people . . . so you grew up here? Nala watched the two people walk down the sandy street.
Yeah. Well, I have not seen them in ten years. Let us get going before it gets really hot, and before it also gets dark too. You really do not want to be out in the desert, when it gets dark, because of all the Tuskin Raiders that hunt during the night. Anakin put the speeder into drive and the three Padawans took off towards the Lars Homestead.
An hour later, Anakin drove through small gateway for the homestead and waiting for them was two figures.
Anakin stopped just short of the two people. They noticed a woman and older man standing right in front of the entrance of the dome building.
Um . . . sorry to intrude, but I am looking for Shmi Skywalker . . . um . . . Mom! Anakin looked at the older couple and looked straight at the woman and realized it was his mother.
Annie! Oh, my baby, you are here! Shmi looked at the young man and realized that it her son and she started forward towards the speeder.
Mom! Anakin jumped out of the speeder and took three steps towards the woman and picked her up in his arms and held her close to his body.
And who is she? Nala just watched the mother and son reunion.
Man, are you that dumb? That is Anakins mother. Achsah turned and looked at the girl, who was sitting in the back seat and could not believe how dumb that she really is.
No, I am not dumb. You never know if the person is, really who they say they are, that is all. Nala looked straight at Achsah.
,P> Um . . . yeah, I guess, but I have a feeling that this is really Anakins mother. Achsah could feel that Nala was looking straight at her and straight through her soul.
Mom, I would like for you to meet my best friend, Achsah and our classmate Nala. Guys, this is my mother, Shmi Skywalker. Anakin pulled away from his mother and introduced her to Achsah, first and gave her a smile, before turning his attention to Nala and just gave her a slight nod.
It is so nice to meet you Achsah and you too, Nala. Shmi smiled at the girl sitting in the front seat and then turned to the girl in the back seat and nodded to the young girl.
It is nice to meet you to Ms. Skywalker. Achsah smiled at the older woman, then noticed that the older man came up to Anakins mother and put his arm around Shmis shoulder.
Please call me Shmi. Oh, Anakin, this is my husband, Cliegg Lars. Cliegg This my son, Anakin. Shmi introduced Anakin to his Step-father.
Hello, Mr. Lars and I would like to thank you for what you have done for my mother. Anakin looked at the older man and gave him a huge smile and to his surprise, the older man pulled him into his arms and gave him a fatherly hug.
Welcome and please call pop or Cliegg. Your mother has told me so much about you, so please, all of you come inside. We were about to have lunch. Cliegg pulled away from Anakin and looked at the other two Padawans that were sitting in the speeder.
Anakin went over to Achsah and helped her out of the speeder, as Cliegg helped Nala out of the back of the speeder.
It is nice to meet you, Mr. Lars. Achsah nodded to the older man, as nodded to the both girls.
Please, it is Cliegg. Please come inside. Cliegg motioned for everyone to follow him inside the dome building.
Once inside the homestead, Anakin told his mother what had happened to them and asked if there was any way that they could contact their Masters to let them know that they are safe and staying with Lars until they could come and get them.
Three hours after dinner, Achsah was sitting on the bed, when there was a knock on the door.
Come in. Achsah smiled, as she the door slid open and Anakin was standing in the door way.
Hey, I just wanted to say good night, and to let you know that Obi-Wan and Benaiah will be here next week. Thank goodness, Nalas Master will be coming here and picking her up tomorrow. Anakin came into the room and made sure that the door was shut and locked, before coming up to Achsah and pulling her into his arms.
That is good to hear. Oh, man . . . I hope my mom is ok and not so worried. I hope Benaiah told her that I am fine and that I should be coming home next week. Achsah wrapped her arms around Anakin and pulled him closer to her, before he leaned his head down and began kissing her.
Mmmm. . . . I wish we could go somewhere and just be together without anyone being around us. I really want to make love to you. Anakin pulled back and looked straight into Achsahs eyes.
I know what you mean. Maybe, we can . . . go to my moms apartment or even go to Naboo? Achsah stepped back out of Anakins arms and went over to the bed and sat down on it.
I would like that. Well, I will see you in the morning. Love you. Anakin went over to the bed and leaned down and gave Achsah one more kiss, before unlocking the door, opening it up and walking out of the door.
Anakin headed down the small hallway, and saw Nala come out of the refresher. She stopped and gave Anakin a huge smile.
Night, Anakin. Are you sure that you want to come with me tomorrow? Nala stopped right in front of Anakin.
Um . . . night. No. It is alright if I stay here for the rest of week, so that way, I can visit with my mom and get to know my new family? Anakin tried to walk pass Nala, but could not get by her.
I see. Well, I thought maybe we could find a quiet place, so we could be together tonight, since it is our last night to be with each other. Nala grabbed ahold of Anakins hand and held it.
Sorry, Nala, but I do not believe that is a good idea. Now, if you will excuse me, I really must get to my room, before the electricity shuts off. I think you should do the same thing. Anakin pulled his hand away from Nala and got by her.
The only thing that Nala could do, was nod her head, before she turned away from Anakin really quickly, because she did not want him to see the tears coming to her eyes.
Anakin turned and walked away down the hallway. He could feel that he really hurt Nalas feelings, but his heart and mind was only for one person and she was curled up in her bed already asleep. Anakin got to his room, shut and locked the bedroom door, just as the power shut off. He climbed into bed and fell sound asleep.
