On the debut shooting of the 500 JRH, we crushed two Bison with one shot each. The photo shows a proud Ed Tillotson, apprentice gun maker and hunter with the first head taken with the proto type Ruger revolver. The 440-grain LFN bullet launched at 1350 feet per second, found the onside shoulder blade, broke it and angling upward shattered the spine and excited. This of course dropped the bison in its tracks.

This photo shows the first ever rimmed power house 50 caliber Freedom arms with a 5.5" bull barrel with integral bull barrel band. Also in the photo is Ed's #1 proto Ruger with 5.5" bull barrel. The second bison was taken with the Freedom Arms piece, and this 440-grain bullet hit the bison in the ham in a "going away" shot and excited between the front legs after breaking the shoulder. The bison kept its feet for a mere eight seconds and was expired when it hit the ground.

In this photo we see King Kong, Avi Nahsohn's toy in 50 Alaskan VS a mere Smith & Wesson 500. The king shoots 600-grain bullets over 1400 feet per second who's the winner. By the way Kong actually balances very well.

This tight-chambered short bull barrel 45 long colt Ruger sports a "lengthened" grip frame with custom grips for Steve Miele, who unfortunately has hands the size of toilet seats. The hammer spur is "proud" positioned for fanning it. Steve loves this piece.
