12. UNDER THE TOP Do I really have to describe this scene? Everyone is at the circus. The taiko drumming at the beginning works well. Oddly enough, there is no new theme when Robin is introduced. And of course, what would a circus scene be without organs? Goldenthal dips into Respighi's Roman Festivals to score parts of this section. Two-face interrupts the circus and chaos emerges. At 4:00 Goldenthal gives us the "Terror" theme that will be heard again. A repeating 7-note scale is heard as the bomb is set. When Robin's family dies, the chaos stops and there is a second of somber music... |
