18. BATTERDAMMERUNG

Batterdammerung - A lot of action has passed since track 17. The Riddler tests Bruce's multi-personalities as he drops both his partner and his woman into the pit with really-sharp-things at the bottom. Batman, defying the laws of gravity of course, falls faster than the two and saves them both. The music that played in track 7 when Robin saves Batman is played here but is followed with the last phrase of the Batman theme. It would be quite a clever idea if it wasn't Goldenthal doing it. Sometimes it's hard to tell whether he's intentionally re-using cues or just not taking the time to compose something new.
