By Allan Fenn
Chapter 1
Are you ready?
“We interrupt your daily programming schedule to bring you this special news bulletin. Today, the British Parliament has decided to put together a new law to control unruly teenagers that wander our streets and fill our schools. Now, we go live to Tony Blair for more news on this breaking story.”
“Myself and my fellow work colleges feel that today’s youth are becoming ruthless and uncontrollable. So, we have decided to put together this new law, which states that, two random classes, of any age group above the age of 15, will be chosen to participate in a new “game”, which we have given the name, “Battle Royale”, a no holds match, where anything goes. Where only 4 survivors can be brought out from the game, to go back to their original lives.”
As the teenage boy entered the classroom, a lot of familiar faces could be seen all around him. Allan Fenn walked over to a small group, placed on the left side of the fairly large room, full of familiar faces. Allan himself was 5ft10” tall, with short brown hair, green eyes and glasses. To the left of the small group was Raymond Baines (a.k.a. Mr likes to think he knows everything). Raymond was shorter then Allan, but he made up for that by having a large bonnet of hair. He also wore glasses.
To the right of Raymond, was “Rocky”, a.k.a. Tom Rock. He was the sarcastic one of the bunch, but he only did it for a laugh..or to try and prove that he was right. He was taller then Raymond but by just abit. He had a slight bit of hair and wore glasses.
Last but know means least was Andrew. He was the person that could make a joke from any situation. Andrew was 5ft10” tall, with short brown hair and blue eyes.
“Hey guys! What have you been up to over the weekend?” Asked Allan as he picked up a chair and sat down next to his friends. Raymond sniggered underneath his breath and replied, “do you even have to ask? You know I have too much homework to be caring about anything else then work.” Rocky laughed and replied “as usual. You never have time for any fun do you?!” Raymond looked back at Rocky and shook his head. “Well, what you think is fun and what I think is fun are a totally different thing Rocky.”
Andrew who was sat in between the two just burst out laughing as he watched the two friends talking to each other. “Hey guys, just cool it! You’re supposed to be friends you know!” Andrew said as he tried to hold back his laughter. Allan just looked at all of them and burst out laughing.
The lesson soon pasted very quickly. The four friends left the I.C.T classroom after a boring lesson of visual Basic. “Man! That was sooo boring!” Allan complained as they walked down the corridor towards the main hall of the college. “Just cause you think its boring Allan, doesn’t mean it actually is” Raymond protested to reply to Allan’s comment.
Allan looked over at Raymond and said, “Raymond, you must be the only person in the class that actually likes it!” Andrew said, “he’s got you there Raymond. And you only like it because you’re good at it!”
The group slowly walked towards the main entrance of the school building when all hell broke lose between a group of students that looked like they where in year 10. One of them who stood outside the group had just thrown a punch to what look like the leader of the group. The guy tried to walk over to the guy on the floor, but was intercepted by the other members of the gang.
The tallest member of the gang, who was about 5ft9”, had long blonde hair and green eyes, pushed away the other guy, who was just abit smaller at 5ft8”. He also had short black hair and blue eyes. The shorter of the two guys spoke up and said, “what the hell you doing you ass hole? This doesn’t involve you. Leave it to the grown ups”
The other guy then looked totally annoyed and said, “what the fuck are you talking about you little shit? Are you scared I’ll beat the crap out of you?” The shorter of the two guys pulled his hand into his left trouser pocket and then pulled out a knife, which looked like it had a 5-inch blade. “Why don’t you try me now, you punk ass bitch?"
The other guy tried to swing a punch at the guy holding the knives arm, before he could use the knife on him. He managed to land a punch on the guy’s right arm, but that didn’t stop him from getting a knife in his stomach. The guy fell to the floor and placed his right arm onto his stomach to check the damage caused.
The other guys from the gang suddenly looked pissed of. So they grabbed the knife wounded guy and pulled him away. The guy holding the knife started to laugh and yelled out to them “run away you wimps!” The guy then looked up to see the face of Mr Thomas, one of the teachers. The guy then decided to run away, to escape punishment.
“Well, looks like another incident that will put the school to shame then” Raymond said to break the ice. “Yeah, but you get used to it now a days. This country is really starting to fall apart.” Rocky said to reply to Raymond’s comment. “Well, I suppose we better go and get some lunch, I’m starving!”
As the gang finally made their way into town after evading all the townies, a tall, dark-dressed male approached them. “Excuses me? Do any of you know what time it is?” Allan looked at the man, and then decided to take a look at his watch. “Yeah, it’s 12:55. Why do you wa-.”? But before he was able to fully ask his question, he felt an enormous blow to his skull. As he fell towards the ground, he could see Rocky, Andrew and Raymond already lying on the floor.
Chapter 2
Welcome to the island
Allan eventually woke up from what seemed like a dream. He tried to focus his eyes on his new surroundings. All he could see was what looked like an old fashioned blackboard at the front of the room with some what looked like those old styled desks, which lifted up and you could place your belongings into them. Next to the many desks, which where scattered across the room, where what looked like many school kids, sitting on chairs.
Allan decided to sit up in his chair and then felt the back of his head, where he had been hit by what felt like a baton. He didn’t feel any blood, which was a good sign. Allan had a scratching feeling on his throat, so as he decided to see what the problem was. But the problem was, he noticed something attached to it.
It felt cold and solid. Almost like a discus, but it was around his neck, so there was a difference. Allan then decided to see if any of the what looked like blobs, cause it was so dark, where people he knew or not. He still tried to focus his eyes as he began to scan around the class. After fully scanning the class for any life of people he knew, he was finally able to spot what looked like Rocky just flopped forward onto his desk.
“Hey Fenny. Welcome back to the land of the living!” Rocky said as Fenny looked over at him. “You been awake long then?” Fenny said as Rocky slumped forward into his seat. “No, how about you?” Fenny replied back to Rocky, “I’ve been up quite a while. Do you what the hell we are doing here? Cause I haven’t the faintest idea.”
Rocky looked around the room before replying, “I don’t know either. Have you seen either Raymond or Andrew?” Before Allan could answer, the lights that where barely hanging to the ceiling turned on and lit up the room. The doors to the right of the room clicked, before being slammed open. Two soldiers who were tall, around 6ft, walked into the room, with a rifle each at their sides. They each stood to a side of the door, as if to let someone else enter the room. The fairly tall man entered the room and was greeted with annoyance in some of the other people’s voices.
“THOMAS?” said a loud voice coming from the seat behind Allan. It came from the mouth of Calvin Hardcastle, one of the most annoying people in their I.T class. It was fairly tall, with blonde hair and an annoying voice. “What the fuck is going on here?!” After Mr Thomas, who was quite tall, with dark hair, glasses and a deep voice, and was one of the main teachers at the College, had entered the room, three more soldiers followed in after him and stood at the opposite side of the room with their backs to the wall, and one of their hands placed onto their rifle.
“Hello everybody! It’s a good thing that you remember me, cause I’m gonna be one of the last people that you see before….well, I wont spoil the surprise just yet.” As he walked over to the desk that was placed just in front of the blackboard, a sweet voice from Rachel Green, who was sat behind Rocky got up the nerves to say, “what the hell is going on here?” Mr Thomas spun around on his left heel and smirked and then turned around to the blackboard again, and started to write something onto the board. Michael Shepard then got up from his seat and said, “who are all this fucking soldiers?” One he had finished writing, Mr Thomas turned around and said in his deep voice, “Do you all know what this means?”
Everybody looked up towards the board, and came face-to-face to the words that every teenager dreaded. “Battle Royale” was printed on the board in huge letters, which seemed to make it even worse. Mr Thomas smiled and said, “ you all must have heard of this new law that the big wigs have passed to control unruly assholes like yourself.”
A soldier left the room and came back in pushing a trolley with what looked like a telly on the top of it, and placed it a few feet away from Thomas. “If your new to this, you will defenatly need to watch this video, if you want to live and “tell the tale” so to speak.” After his uplifting speech, he took a video remote that was placed to the side of him, and pressed a button, and the screen lit up, with the sound of cheesy music in the background, the Battle Royale theme tune.
“The Right Way To Fight A Battle Royale” by the BR Act Committee, appeared on the bottom of the screen as a lively young woman, who looked in her early twenties. She had short brown hair, which was peering just below her hat, and she had blue eyes. She was wearing an orange top with a small cut below her neck, a camouflage style hat, and an ear piece with a microphone that was on a piece of wire that moved down to her mouth. You know, the ones you see people in spy movies wear.
“Hello everybody from Mr Ashcroft’s I.C.T class. You are the lucky class chosen for this month’s Battle Royale. Congratulations!” She said, but then she paused before continuing. Whilst she had her happy speech, Allan thought to himself, "lucky? What are you talking about?" She continued to say, “now, I’m going to explain the rules for you! Listen well to fight with gusto! You are on a deserted island that looks like this…” She said as she pointed to a map on a screen behind her.
“It’s about 10 kilometres around, and its empty, as we have evacuated everybody!” But before she could continue to talk, Mr Thomas stopped the video and said, “the residents were happy enough to leave as they felt it was for “the good of the country”. A laugh could be heard at the back of the classroom, which had come from the mouth of the ever so cocky, Calvin.
Mr Thomas looked up and sad to him, “what’s so funny Hardcastle?” Everybody in the room looked back over to Calvin as the “Battle Of Whit’s” began. Calvin stopped laughing in time to stay “this is just totally screwed up? You expected to participate in this crap? You can take this program, and shove it up your ass cause I’m not gonna participate in this shit!”
Mr Thomas looked back over at Calvin and started to laugh. “You really think that you can escape from here? By all means, you may try at least. But trust me, you wont get very far.” Calvin looked as if he was started to shake in anger. He jumped out of his seat and ran forwards towards Mr Thomas and shouted, “I might not be able to escape from here normally, but once your dead, and then I can!” He reached into his pocket whilst he was still running towards Mr Thomas and pulled out a knife. He then lunged towards Thomas, but before he could make contact, he suddenly stopped. He looked like he had just ran into a brick wall.
A smile came across the face of Thomas as he lowered his gun and blew away the smoke that came from the barrel. Blood steadily started to drip from Calvin’s stomach as he kneeled down on the floor. Calvin started to moan aloud as Mr Thomas walked over to were Calvin was placed. Thomas lifted up his left foot and kicked Hardcastle in the stomach to force him to roll over to shot the gun wound in his stomach to everybody in the class. “Is there anyone else that wants to be a hero then?”
Whilst Calvin was still moaning, a scream was shouted out by a girl and echoed throughout the room. Allan turned around to notice that the voice had come from Katy Porter. She stopped screaming a few seconds’ later and placed here head into her hands and started to shake violently. Mr Thomas started to slowly walk over to Katy and placed his hand on her left shoulder. He then spoke up and said, “don’t worry. You wont have to see him suffer any more”. He then pointed his gun back at Calvin, and before he pulled the trigger, Calvin retaliated by saying, “see you in hell you bastard!” Mr Thomas smiled and replied, “not before you” He then pulled the trigger as the gunshot echoed through the room as Calvin’s body lay silently on the floor.
41 to go
After the adrenaline rush of seeing Hardcastle die right in front of his own eyes. Mr Thomas looked around the class and started to smile. “Is there anybody else that is foolish enough out there that thinks they can escape?” Everybody in the room stopped what they where doing and just stared at Thomas. “Good, there are no takers. So lets get on with the video.”
The women in the video began to speak again as she said, “the island is divided into many danger zones. Every six hours, your teacher will broadcast updates about which zones will be becoming danger zones. If you’re in those zones, then you should leave quickly because the danger is…O.K! About the necklaces you’re wearing. They’re 100% waterproof, shockproof and permanent! It monitors your pulse, informing us of your location and movements. So, if you linger in a danger zone, or cause trouble, we can identify you and transmit radio waves that trigger an alarm and…BOOM! It explodes! If you try to rip it off, it explodes too, so promise not to do that, O.K?”
Whilst the lady on the video was talking, some of the others in the class started to touch the necklace, which they only had just noticed that they were wearing. She then began to continue and say, “oh, I forgot one important thing! There’s a time limit on this game! 3 days. If we haven’t got 3 people left after 3 days, all the necklaces automatically explode! And no one wins. As long as were here, let’s fight hard to make sure that doesn’t happen!”
Allan started to laugh to himself at the shit he was listening to. “I can’t believe that I’m in this shit. There must be a way to get out of this. Maybe I can get Rocky to help me out. Yeah, I’m sure he wouldn’t stand for this crap. I wonder if Raymond and Andrew where forced into this as well. If they are, then I’ll just have to find them. It won’t be easy, but I know that we’ll be able to find them some how.”
The women on the videotape then began to continue to say, “you’ll leave the room, one by one, but first, you will each be given a kit! Inside of each kit, there is food and water, a map and compass a flashlight and a weapon. So, check it out later, O.K? The girls might want to use their own personal items, so you can take your school bags with you. Each weapon there is is different. Not just guns and knifes either. Its random, so maybe you’ll get lucky, maybe not. It eliminates natural advantages.”
The tape stopped playing and a couple of guards walked over to the telly and pushed it out of the room. Thomas then got up from sitting in a chair and said, “we’ve notified your parents, and then send each one of you love, kisses, etc, etc. So, you all might as well go for it, cause the only way your gonna get of this island, is to try and win.”
The door, which the guards walked through remained open, whilst a couple of what looked like trolleys where, pushed through. On them where bags which everybody know what was in them without needing a second look. “Now, let’s get things rolling! You’ll be leaving in alphabetical order of your surnames. You will leave with a gap of 2 minutes between each person, so if you want to find somebody in particular, then you might want to wait around for him or her. Personally, I wouldn’t. So, lets see who’s first on the list.”
Allan started to think to himself, “oh great, it looks like I’m gonna be one of the first. I’m gonna have to try and get my bag and run like fuck!”
Chapter 4
Let the games begin!
Mr Thomas took a deep breath and then began to speak again. “The first person to enter the slaughter house will be…. Robert Adkins.” Everybody in the class looked over to where Bob was sanding. Bob sluggishly walked over towards where the guards where standing. One of the guards threw one of the bags that were on the trolley at him. He then took a final glance at his fellow students and then ran out of the door.
“Well, it looks like he won’t last long! Next on the list is…Lucy Appleton.” Everybody in the room looked over at Lucy, as they did with Bob. Lucy grabbed her school bag that had been lying next to her on the floor and walked over to the guards. The guards threw her bag at her with a lot of force, that it made her drop her school bag. She grabbed her school bag again and then ran out of the door.
“Next on our happy list is Julie Ann Bainbridge”. Julie started to smile and then reached down to get her bag, when she met eye contact with Sarah Davidson. Julie sniggered as she grabbed her bag and went to get her bag from the guard. After their brief encounter, Sarah breathed a sigh of relief.
Thomas then decided to continue with the list of the remaining students. “Next on our list is Mr Baines”
Allan thought to himself after hearing that one of his best friends would be involved in this sick game. “I can’t believe they actually got Raymond involved in this shit! Well, at least I know that I’m not alone, and that we’ll be able to find a way out of this!”
Whilst everybody’s attention was still fixed on Raymond, Allan decided to plot a plan of action. He dove into his school bag and found his drawing pad, with a pen next to it. He decided to write a note to Raymond. After scribbling the note on the paper, Allan tried to rip it out without making as much noise as possible. He then screwed it up into a little ball and threw it in Raymond’s direction, hopping that Raymond would notice it.
Raymond was still walking towards the door, when he eventually noticed the piece of paper on the floor. He tried to bend down to pick it up, but he was a bit restricted whilst he was carrying his school bag (which is always heavy), and the bag, which he had just be thrown to him. He eventually was able to bend down and pick up the scrunched up piece of paper. He shoved it into his pocket and then looked over to where Allan was sitting. Raymond nodded his head as if he was to say that he knew what he was talking about.
“Next on the list…” Mr Thomas paused as he began to scan around the room, as if he was looking for somebody in particular. “Is Stuart Baker. Lets give him a round of applause to build up his confidence, as he looks a little nervous back there.”
Stuart Baker stood up in anger and ran towards the guards and grabbed his bag from them before they could throw it towards him. He then faced Thomas and said, “you just watch, I’ll be back here, and you yourself are gonna crown me the winner, then you’ll see who’s nervous you little shit!”
Time passed by.
As some of the girls where called out to receive their bags, they left crying. For being forced into this game, or just because they might not see their friends again, Allan wasn’t sure as he thought to himself.
Mr Thomas cleared his throat just before he was going to read the next name. “Next, is Allan Fenn”. Allan rose to his feet with anger burning in his eyes. He grabbed his school bag, which was placed next to the table he was sitting at. He threw it over his shoulder and slowly made his way to the front of the class. On the way, he passed by Rocky and whispered, “I’ll wait for you outside somewhere. If we aren’t there, then meet us at the southern most point on the island."
Allan’s “day pack” was thrown towards him at quite some speed, but he was able to catch it in mid air with his free right hand. He walked out of the room, and soon began to pick up a slight more speed, as he walked towards the exit.
Whilst walking towards the exit, Allan began to think to himself. “There’s got to be a way out of this. We must be able to fight back. We should be able to form an alliance with everybody that’s been forced into this shit. But, how well do you know everyone that’s involved. How well do you know Helen Craggs? Sure she may be in your form, but you don’t know anything about her. Then there’s Stuart Baker, Sarah Davidson and Johnny Ward. The first thing I should do is to try and meet up with Raymond, and then once Rocky and Andrew leave, I’ll have to try and find them. I just hope that Rocky and Andrew stay safe until I’m able to find them.”
Allan continued to run to the entrance of the school. As he ran down the corridor, he noticed some rooms to the left and right of him. Most of them where empty, but one of them caught his attention in particular. Because he was running past it, he wasn’t able to see all of the room, but he had enough time to see a few soldiers, similar to the ones in the classroom, who where sitting around something which looked like a tv.
As Allan finally arrived at the doors, he burst through them like a bat out of hell. When his eyes had finally adjusted to the darkness of the area around him, he was able to locate what looked like trees to his left and right. To the front of his, was an area full of bushes.
At a first glance, Allan couldn’t find Raymond. Allan began to think to himself, “oh man! I hope nobody got to him before he could wait for me. I know that Raymond is popular, so personally, I thought that if he weren’t careful, he would be one of the first to be chased after.”
Allan began to look around with a closer inspection. He started to see some of the bushes in front of him start to move vigorously. At the fright of what might come out of the bushes, Allan dove into his daypack and looked for his supplied weapon. Whilst feeling around for what might even remotely be a weapon, Allan also noticed the provided food and water.
After a few seconds, Allan was able to grasp his weapon…a Sniper Rifle.
Allan grabbed it out of his bag, and without checking to see if there where any bullets in the magazine, he aimed it towards the bushes.
Chapter 5
Friend or Foe?
“Fenny, don’t shot! It’s me Raymond!” Raymond slowly moves from out of the bushes and into the direct path of Allan’s Sniper Rifle. Allan finally noticed that Raymond was in total shock, and moved his Sniper to his side.
Raymond moved slowly towards Allan and gave a sigh of relief. “I’m glad you managed to hide until I came out. So, are you hurt, or did anybody else notice you?” Raymond placed his bags onto the floor next to Allan’s and began saying, “I managed to avoid being hurt by any of those people that might want to play this “game”, but I did manage to see Ashley Bentford. She looked too scared, so I didn’t approach her.”
Allan nodded after Raymond stopped talking and then looked at Raymond’s right hand to see something weird held in his hand. Allan spoke up and said, “what’s that in your hand Raymond?”
Raymond looked at what was placed in his hand and moved it up so it could be seen in the moonlight. “This is my “weapon”.
Allan started to snigger underneath his breath and said, “a kebab skewer? Wow, you really did get the short end of the stick!” Allan lifted his right hand to reveal his Sniper Rifle to Raymond. “This is what I got stuck with. Not to shabby, huh?” Raymond nodded his head and moved over to where Allan was standing and placed both his bags onto the floor.
Raymond sat on the damp grass and then decided to ask to get over the deadly silence, “did you notice Rocky in the classroom at all? I managed to see Andrew, but I never got a chance to speak to him.” Allan looked down at Raymond and sighed, and then said, “I did manage to see Rocky and I told him that we’d try and meet up with him at southern most point at the island. I think we should head over there to see if we can find him. He might be a while though cause his name is one of the last on the list. So if we manage to get there, we will have to try and hide.”
Raymond nodded and picked up his bags and then said, “do you think anybody else we know has been dragged into this?” Allan grabbed his daypack and school bag and slung them over his right shoulder, before saying, “well, I did manage to see Ruth and Sarah sitting right at the back of the classroom. They were sat next to each other, so maybe they will meet up with each other. I just hope that they will be O.K.”
Allan took a few steps forward and then looked over his left shoulder and said, “we’d better get a move on. Could you show me your map, cause I wanna see where the southern most point is on this rock.” Raymond dove into his daypack whilst he still had it over his shoulder and found it. He had a glance at it himself before handing it over. Allan skim read the map and the said "the southern most point is H-5. We better get moving cause at the moment were in C-3." Allan handed the map back over to Raymond, who placed it back into his bag and then zipped it back up. Allan lead the way as the two walked through a group of bushes.
Chapter 6
Danger lurks everywhere
After picking up her bag and running from the classroom, Sarah Davidson (left the class as number 14) kept on running into the bushes just outside the front of the school. After running for what seemed like 10 minutes, Sarah stopped to get her breath back.
Whilst trying to recover from the long run, she stopped to check her surroundings. She noticed mostly trees around her to her left and right. In front of her, she could see some small bushes, but also, a few meters away, she could see what looked like a small hut. “Finally! Something that’s actually useful!” She thought to herself as she tried to quietly move through the bushes.
She finally got to the door of the rickety, old hut. With her school bag over her left shoulder and her daypack over her right shoulder, she tried to budge the front door of the hut open with her free right hand. In her left hand, was her supplied weapon…a mace.
After a while, the door of the hut gave away and swung open. The smell of rusty objects could be smelt clearly in the air. A cloud of smoke also followed through into the surroundings. Sarah started to cough as the smoke came into contact with her face.
Sarah eventually walked through into the hut. It was completely pitch black inside the hut. She closed the door behind and placed her bags just beside her feet. She rummaged through her daypack to find the supplied flashlight. Once she found it, she grabbed it and placed it in front of her face. She turned it on and scanned it across the room to check the new surroundings.
In front of her was an old table with a chair on either side of it. To the left of her was what looked like some cupboards and to the right, was another room. Sarah sighed to herself as if she was glad that nobody else had found this room. She walked over to one of the chairs next to the table and placed her mace and flashlight onto them.
Whilst sitting on one of the chairs, she decided to put her feet up on the other chair to relax. After sighing again, a loud, banging noise was heard by Sarah, which alarmed her. She got up to her feet and grabbed her weapon and flashlight in her hands.
She furiously moved the flashlight over to where the noise came from. She held her mace tighter in her right hand as another noise was heard. Out of a fright beyond all comprehendible measures, she decided to speak to see if it was just her imagination playing tricks on her. “Is anybody th-there?”
The noise stopped after a while. Sarah sat back down onto the chair and decided to take a drink from the water provided to her. She reached into her daypack and removed the clear water bottle. She unscrewed the lid and removed the foil. She moved the bottle to her mouth and started to gulp down a small amount of water. After drinking the amount she wanted, she wiped her mouth with her free hand and screwed the top back onto the bottle. Whilst she was trying to place her bottle back into her bag, a loud noise came rushing towards Sarah, and before she was able to grab her mace from off the table, a thudding noise came into contact with Sarah’s head, which sent her flying from her chair.
When Sarah got up from lying on the floor, her eyes came into contact with the eyes of the person who she dreaded…Julie Ann Bainbridge, (left the class as number 3).
Julie smiled at Sarah and moved towards her slowly. As she moved towards Sarah, her weapon came into the moonlight, which shone threw a crack in the roof. Sarah noticed that what thumped her on the back of her head was a lead pipe, which looked about 60cm long.
Sarah scrambled to her feet. She scanned the room to look for her mace. Whilst she was trying to locate her weapon, Julie came running towards her with her weapon swinging. Just before Julie was able to make contact, Sarah dodged out of the way and scrambled over to where her mace was.
Julie noticed Sarah’s sudden movement, she spun her left heal and ran back towards her first enemy in the “GAME”. Sarah managed to pick up her mace, and started to spin her mace vigorously around into the air. Julie Ann came within a few feet of where Sarah was sitting on the floor.
She lifted up her lead pipe and swung it hard and fast at the mace, clutched in Sarah’s hand. It spun away from reach. Sarah looked towards Julie, who now had a glimmer in her eyes. She swung her lead pipe as if she was going for the winning home run. Sarah put her hands in front of her to try and block the blow coming towards her.
The lead pipe hit Sarah’s hands at full force, causing a yelp of pain. Julie started to laugh and said, “its game over for you now, sweet Susie!” Julie swung her lead pipe again, which hit the left temple of Sarah’s head, which made her fall onto the floor. Blood slowly started to pour out of her gashed, left ear. Julie then smiled once more before swinging her lead pipe at full force, hitting the side of Sarah’s head, again, and made the puddle of blood beside Sarah’s head expand into a swimming pool.
Julie smiled as she looked over at the corpse of her fallen foe. She bent down to pick up the mace and laughed at her opponent’s feeble attempt to use it, no really a very evil laugh, Chinese style, you know those ones in the Kung Fu movies with the bad dubbing. She placed it into her daypack as she walked over to Sarah’s daypack, which was lent up against one of the table legs. She dove into the bag and found Sarah’s food and water. She took them out and placed them into her own pack, and slowly made her way out of the room.

Chapter 7
Who can you trust?
James Glover, (left the class as number 18), kept on running even at the thought of killing his best friend, if he want to survive this shit. As he ran towards the edge of the island, he kept hold of the straps of his school bag and daypack. As he ran he began to think to himself, “what am I going to do? This is such shit! I wonder if I could hook up with Will, then we’d get the hell off a’ this rock!”
As he finally reached the west-most point of the island, he stopped to try and recover his breath. He threw his bags down to the ground and then placed his hands onto his knees to try and help himself to recover.
Once he had got his breath back, he decided to check to see if there was anything decent in his daypack that could help him try and fight the government assholes. He undid the zip on the daypack and was amazed to see what had been given to him to try and win this…a fire extinguisher.
“’Ow-a the fack-a is I a’ posed ta be a’ fighting with this? It would a’ be alright if someone had a’ flamethrower, but I a’ bet that nobody would get a’ one, knowing my a’ luck." He pulled the “weapon” out of the daypack and placed it to the side of him as he sat on the floor.
As James stared out at the sea in front of him, he picked up a pebble that he had found and tossed into the pitch-black water. Unnoticed to him, because of the pebble dropping into the water, he hadn’t noticed the bushes behind him starting to move.
A tall, dark figure emerged from the bushes and tossed something at James, which made him turned around in a flash. “Will? You followed me?” Will smiled and replied, “yeah. Well, we are mates. We can get out of this shit together man!”
James laughed and then realised he should have asked him earlier. “So, what weapon did you get stuck with then? All I got was a fucking fire extinguisher.” Will laughed and replied, “well, I suppose I was lucky then. I got a staff” He held it up towards the moonlight, so that it was visible for James to see. Oh yeah, apparently, Thomas the bastard, forgot to tell us that there are also weapons scattered across the island as well to help us.”
James looked shocked as he said, “really? How did you manage to find that information out? Cause I though he told us everything that we needed to know to fight in this crap.”
Will sniggered as he open his mouth and said, “I know because I managed to find this weapon.” Will brought out a harpoon gun that he had hiding behind his back. “WOW! You lucky git! Where did you find that?”
Will smiled and said, “as I was tracking you down, I just saw another daypack on the floor. I thought to myself that I hadn’t seen anyone else go threw here, so nobody could have lost his or her daypack.”
“Listen James, I know we’ve been mates for like ever, but this is really started to get to me. I know that we should really try to fight the bastards that put it into this shit, but I don’t know how were going to do that. You know that only three people survive, right?”
“Yeah, w-?” James replied, but before he was able to finish his sentence, a sharp thud of pain came striking into his stomach. James started to cough up blood as the harpoon sank deeper into his stomach.
“I’m sorry James, but, like Thomas said, “there's only three winners." So I'm out to win this on my own. I hope you can forgive me."
Will walked over to James’s limp body lying on the floor and pulled the harpoon from out of his stomach. He then bent down over James’s body and closed his eyes and said, “sorry man. I’ll try and win this for you.” He then walked over James’s daypack and threw it over his left shoulder and then left the scene.

Chapter 8
Pain and suffering
Charlotte Follan, (left the class as number 17), held her weapon, a knife close in her hands, in the hope of that the time would not come, where she would be forced to use it. She was placed in a very deep thicket, which was in the area near to where she had seen James Glover killed by his best friend.
“I can’t believe what just happened. I hope…I hope the time doesn’t come where I'm forced to attack somebody. I just hope that I can stay safe here, whilst everybody else gets killed of.” Charlotte stopped and just realised what she was just thinking.
“Did I just think that? I can’t be thinking something like that. Some of the people dragged into this, I’ve known since Allertonshire! Maybe, I should try and find some people I know, and then we might be able to convince everybody else that we don’t have to fight. Then we’ve have gather everybody that’s against this, we might be able to make our way out of here. The only problem is, where is everybody else?”
Charlotte placed her knife, still in its plastic case onto the ground, and hugged her knees. She stared deep at the wet ground whilst trying to decide what would be the best plan of action. She then realised something. “Wait a minute! If I remember right, the women on the videotape said, that if there was no winner after the time limit, then everybody dies. So, if I just sit here and wait for time to pass by, the chances are that the time limit will run out and I’ll be killed like that. Or, I can go and try and look for people that I might know and if I die trying that, I’ll know, at least I dies trying to do the right thing.”
Charlotte nodded to herself and decided to try and stand up. But before she able to stand up, a stabbing pain shot up her back. Charlotte span around as quickly as she could, which was quite hard with the pain she just got injected into her spine.
When she able to eventually to turn around, she noticed something that she hadn’t spotted before. If was in the shape of a huge potato, but there was something different about it, apart from the colour. It kind of looked like a daypack, “but wait”; Charlotte thought to herself, “that one’s not mine, mines over there. Did somebody drop it?” Charlotte decided to move closer to it. As she did, she rubbed her back in relief.
Once she had reached the unclaimed daypack, she slowly moved the zipper to the right to open it and check out its contents. She tried to focus her eyes on the contents of the bag, and to her surprise, she realised that it wasn’t like hers. She couldn’t see any food or water, but she was able to find a weapon in its present. She dove her hand deep into the inners of the bag, and grabbed out the contents. Once out of the bag, she held it up to the moonlight, and to her surprise, she noticed that she holding a crow bar.
Charlotte placed her newfound weapon onto the floor next to her knife. She sighed to herself at the fact that nobody had come after her…. yet. Charlotte then decided to go with her plan of action, and try and find other people that don’t want to participate in this “game”.
She grabbed both her weapons and placed them into her daypack and threw it over her left shoulder, and her school bag over her right. She quickly had a look around her to see if anybody had spotted. Realising that there was nobody around her, she decided started her quest to see if she was able to find anybody she might recognise her.

Chapter 9
1 less person to worry about
Clutching his Walther PPK in his right hand, and the map in his left hand, Thomas Dodds, (left the class as number 15), ran away from all the commotion from the incident that he had just witnessed of Will killing James. At the moment, he was in sector G-7. He was trying to make his way into the chapel that was placed on the island in sector H-8.
“Huh.” Tom thought to himself. “I never though that I’d see Will kill James. Personally, I wanted to kill the assholes myself, but I suppose its “first come, first serve. Huh, this is probably the wrong time to be tall really, unless I find some decent shelter!” Tom was the tallest out of all the people that had been dragged into this crap.
After a while, he decided to stop to see if there were any obstacles between him and sanctuary. Lifting the map close to his face in the pitch black of night, he was able to notice that there was a small river in between the sectors G-8 and H-8. Tom sniggered to himself and though, “hopefully, nobody will have had the same idea as me.”
He placed the map back into his daypack, had a quick glance around to see if anybody had noticed him, and decided to jog towards the river.
After a few minutes of jogging, the tress that surrounded him on ever side finally evaporated to show the surroundings of a few rocks, a bridge, Sarah Bell and a river. Sarah Bell?
Sarah Bell, (left the class as number 6), the biggest tomboy in the college, looked like she had the same idea as Tom had, but, it looked like she was willing to fight for the right to who gets to protect themselves at the chapel.
“Who the hell are you?” Sarah snapped at Tom, who now had his gun hidden from Sarah’s view. “I’m just trying to get past. I don’t want to cause any trouble. So let me past, and I’ll forget that I saw you here, O.K?” Tom replied trying to keep himself from shooting here without her putting up a fight.
“What weapon you got? Tell me!” Sarah shouted back at Tom, who was still looked in the direction in which he wanted to go. “I dropped mine a while back, and never got the chance to pick it up cause I was being chased. So let me get passed now, bitch!” Tom snarled back at her.
Sarah held out her Nail Gun at point it with a calm and steady hand. Tom laughed out loud, and then pulled his gun from behind his back and said, “so what are you going to do with that nail gun? Hang up some picture frames or something? This is your last chance, let me pass, or I’ll open fire on your ass!”
Sarah ran, which looked like it was in the direction of that Tom was standing. Tom pulled back the trigger on his Walther PPK, which sparked as the bullet left the chamber. The bullet just missed Sarah’s left leg as she managed to hide behind one of the rocks.
Sarah started to think to herself of a plan that could get her out of this mess. “What the hell am I going to do? This Nail Gun can’t do anything against a Walther PPK!” Well, it looks like there’s only one thing to do.”
Sarah took a peak out of the left-hand side of the rock. Tom opened fire on her. Sarah managed to duck behind the rock again. As the bullet hit the rock, a chunk of it flew of it and scared Sarah just below her left eye.
Blood slowly started to drip out of the newly formed scar on her face. Sarah wiped away with the fingertip of her left index finger. Out of rage, Sarah stood up, and threw her Nail Gun towards Tom in the hope that it would hit him and by her some time.
The gun managed to hit its target, and without looking back to see if it hit Tom or not, Sarah ran towards the forest. Tom managed to recover in time to point the Walther PPK at Sarah who hadn’t managed to reach the forest in time. He pulled back the trigger, and with a loud bang, the bullet left the chamber and lodged itself deep into the right shoulder bone in Sarah’s fragile body.
Tom blew a sigh of relief as he lowered his gun towards his side. He walked over to Sarah’s body in a hope that she wouldn’t just jump up and kill him before she died herself. Tom decided to laugh to himself as he thought it was just stupid to think that and it’s just the fact that he’s watched to many horror movies.
As he picked up the Nail Gun out of the cold hands of Sarah’s quiet body on the floor, Tom decided to look around to see if he could spot anybody in the perimeter.
As he looked around to notice anything unusual, he didn’t realise that Sarah’s left foot had just made contact with the kneecap of Tom’s right leg. As Tom yelped out on pain, he placed his free left hand onto his knee, just to make sure that it wasn’t bleeding, but as he did, Sarah tried to grab the gun from his hand, in the hope that he wouldn’t open fire on her again.
After tending to his knee, he noticed that she was trying to grab his gun, so with out hesitation, he pulled back the trigger, which blew open a wide hole in the palm of her left hand. She screamed out in pain as blood started to pour down onto her right hand, she had placed over the hole to stop it from bleeding.
With what she thought would be her final words; she looked up at Tom’s face and said, “you bastard!” Tom looked annoyed and without a second thought, pulled the trigger, but this time, the gun had been pointing at the middle of her forehead.
The battlefield had gone quite, but was broken by the flight of a couple of crows taking to the air from fear. Tom looked down at the body of his fallen victim, which was now covered nearly from head to foot, in blood from the gunshots.
Tom smiled as he re-adjusted the strap of his bag, which had started to slip down his shoulder from firing the gun. He placed his gun into his motorbike jacket pocket and silently walked over the bridge.

Chapter 10
Friends reunited
Andrew Matthew, (left the class as number 26), had just minutes ago left the classroom, where the remaining bunch of “contestants” was growing smaller. He had just only two minutes ago seen Greg Johnson leave the classroom in anger.
Before leaving the classroom, Andrew as told by Rocky that he was going to meet up with Fenny and Raymond in the southernmost point on the island.
After bursting through the front door of the building, Andrew checked his surroundings to make sure that here was nobody around to “pick” him of. He noticed that there was nobody around, which was the first piece of good luck that Andrew had since he joined this game.
He headed towards the nearest shrubbery he could find to use as protection from any sudden attacks.
He threw his daypack onto the ground, which landed with a thud. After it had landed, Andrew dove into his daypack to find the weapon that he was told that Thomas would give him. After a while, he came to realise that the weapon he had been given, shouldn’t even be called a weapon! It was a battery powered plastic fan. You know, one of those fans you use to cool yourself down. Andrew threw the fan back into his daypack out of anger and then went looking for the map.
Once found, the map was dragged out from underneath the water and bread given to him by the government. He scanned over it to check where the southernmost point was on the island. He came to the conclusion that sector, H-5, was the point that Rocky meant that they were going to meet up at.
Andrew threw the map back into the daypack and zipped it back up. Once he had thrown it over his right shoulder, he decided that without a weapon, he would need to be careful as hell.
He ran forwards throw the surrounding trees in the hope that nobody would pick up on his whereabouts.
Raymond spoke up towards Allan and said, “where are we now do you think?” Allan looked over his shoulder to see Raymond struggling along behind him. Allan stopped and took out his map. But before seeing which sector they would be in, he scanned around to see if there would be anything noticeable that would be on the map.
Just in front of them, was a small hut that looked totally run down. Allan then placed the map in the moonlight to get a better look at the map. After checking the map, Allan came to the conclusion that they where in sector F-5. “Were not that far of now. Were in sector F-5, so there isn’t that long to go.”
Raymond nodded and said, “let’s just hope that Andrew and Rocky are O.K.” Allan sighed and then looked at his watch. It was hard to read in the dark, but thanks to the light function, he was able to make out that the time was 3:30am.
“We better get a move on cause if we stay in one place to long, it might either become a danger zone, or somebody might attack us. Lets go!” Raymond looked frustrated as they only minutes ago sat down for a rest. He still agreed to Allan’s suggestion, and then placed his two bags over his shoulders and then spoke up towards Allan, “hey Fenny. Wouldn’t it be easier if we put all the stuff given to us by the government into the same bag?”
Allan looked over at Raymond and gave him a weird look, but as Raymond continued, “it would be easier as we’d have less stuff to carry.” Allan laughed quietly and replied, “I know why you really want to do that!” Raymond looked confused and said nervously, “I don’t know what your talking about Fenny.” Allan laughed again. Then spoke up, “Raymond, I’ve known you long enough, and the only reason you suggested that idea is because you’re so lazy!”
Raymond started to blush and replied, “well, that’s partly true, but it still would be a good idea.” Allan stared down towards the floor and then replied, “I suppose we could do it.” Allan threw his daypack on the floor as Raymond did the same.
Raymond began to empty the contents of his bag and placed them into Allan’s daypack. With Raymond’s daypack now empty, Allan picked it up from the floor and threw it into the bushes, so that nobody would think that it was a clue to follow where they were going.
After walking for a while throw the pitch black of the night and the shrubbery surrounding them, so they weren’t able to get a clear view of where they were going, Allan and Raymond tried to stay alert whilst continuing their journey.
After going on for a few meters, they came face to face with a huge decision to make. Raymond scratched his head and then spoke towards Allan. “Which way do you think we should go?” Allan looked at the fork-in-the-road, which they had come across. Allan grabbed his bag into his daypack in the hope of finding the map. But before he was able to grab it, there was a rustling noise that alerted both of the contestants.
A gun came pointing out from beneath the twigs and leaves of the bush, which the noise was coming from. Allan grabbed his Sniper Rifle, which was placed over his shoulder, thanks to the strap attached to it. He held it out in front of him, whilst Raymond held out his kebab skewer in his shaking right hand to try and scare of their first enemy.
From the barrel of the gun, Allan was able to tell that the weapon that the person had been given was a Smith & Wesson, but it was an old model. It looked similar to the ones that Clint Eastwood used in his old cowboy films such as “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”. But Allan and Raymond could also see that the person holding the gun, was shaking, as it wasn’t being aimed straight.
Allan took his Sniper Rifle from underneath his shoulder and put it towards the bush. He used the end of the barrel to nudge away some of the twigs, which the person holding the gun was using to sqeure their view.
“Wait, don’t shot!” The voice shouting from behind the bush was a girl’s voice, which was defiantly familiar to Allan. Allan scattered around in his brain to try and remember who it is.
“Abbey? Is that you?” Allan pushed away the twigs as he walked through to see if it was Abbey or not. Abbey was kneeling on the ground with her gun pointing out still. Allan offered his hand to help up his work colleague from her position on the ground.
Still suffering from shock, she was still holding the gun out in front of her. Allan placed his left hand on the metal surface of the gun and lowered it for her. “Abbey, it’s O.K now. You’ll be safe now.” Abbey dropped the gun onto the moist ground and hugged Allan and started to cry. “I’m sorry Allan. I thought that somebody was going to kill me.”
Allan replied back. “Don’t worry. Nobody will hurt you now.”

Chapter 11
When paths collide
After a few minutes had passed since they had ran into each other, Allan and Abbey let go of each other and Allan started to blush. Raymond noticed what had happened and tapped Allan on the shoulder. “Allan, why have you gone red?” Allan got very confused and spluttered out a very poor excuse. “Well, it’s hot that’s all.”
Abbey dropped her daypack onto the floor as Allan took Raymond aside and whispered to him, “well, I’ve not told anybody this before, but I fancy Abbey ever since she started working at Thomas’s.” Raymond looked up at Allan and said, “ah. My little boy s growing up!”
Allan slipped on the moist floor and fell onto the grass. Kind of like the style you see in an anime. Allan sighed and said to Raymond, “Gees, and thanks a lot for the support!” Raymond reached out his arm to pull Allan up from the ground. Allan accepted Raymond’s offer and eventually got to his feet.
Allan walked over to where Abbey was sitting on the most grass floor, and spoke to her. “So, did anybody manage to follow you?” Abbey looked up towards Allan and replied, “as far as I know, I didn’t see anybody following me, but I did see somebody walking to the right of me. I don’t know his name, but I did manage to get a glimpse of him. He didn’t see me as far as I know, but he did look like he was trying to get somewhere.” Allan nodded and said, “what did he look like?”
Abbey looked down towards the ground as if she was trying to remember what the person looked like. After a minute or two, Abbey’s face shot up from where she was looking up as if she had remembered and said, “he looked about 5ft10” tall, he had short brown hair, which was hiding under a hoody, and I could just make out his blue eyes. Oh, and he was holding a..Um, oh yeah! A plastic fan!”
Allan looked over at Raymond, who had done the same, and they nodded at each other. At the same time, they both said, “it must be Andrew!” Abbey looked confused at to what the boys where talking about. She spoke up to the guys who where standing at either side of her and said, “who’s Andrew?” Allan walked over to Abbey and said, “he’s a good friend of ours, who we arranged to meet him at the southernmost point of the island. He was probably making his way there when you spotted him. I think we should get to the meeting point as soon as possible.” Abbey looked a bit confusing after what she had just been told.
Raymond decided to take over the job of lecturing Abbey of their current situation. “I agree. We should go and meet up with Andrew. Don’t worry about it. You can trust him Abbey. Oh, and by the way, my name’s Raymond.” Abbey smiled as she got up on her feet.
Allan walked over to where the gun had fallen onto the ground after Abbey had dropped it and offered it back to Abbey. “Here, maybe you should hold onto it, so that you can protect us, as we’ll do the same, I just hope that the times doesn’t come, when you’ll be forced to use it. Abbey smiled but said, “no, I wont take it. You should keep it, as you’ll probably be better at using it then me. And I’m still scared from being put into this game.”
Allan nodded as if he was agreeing with what he had just heard. He then walked over to Raymond and held it out to him, to see if he would take it instead. “Here Raymond, maybe you should take it. I bet you’ve played a lot of shooting games in your time. So just image its just another game. “
Raymond looked frustrated, but decided to give in. “O.K. But if somebody attacks us, I’ll be too scared to use it!” Allan sighed but decided to place his trust more then ever, in Raymond.
Raymond grabbed the handle of the gun and placed it into his jacket. Allan looked at his group of allies and said, “well, I think we should try and meet up with Andrew, then maybe we can try and think of a way of this island.” Abbey and Raymond both nodded at the suggestion made to them, and then began to walk behind Allan in the hope of getting to H-5 unnoticed.
After getting through some bushes, Andrew noticed a hut to the left of his position, and to the right of him, was what looked like a well. Andrew decided to walk over to the well to take a pit stop. Andrew took his daypack from of his shoulder and placed it onto the ground. He went into his daypack in search of the water bottle that was supplied to him. He took it out and unscrewed the cap.
But before he took a swig of water, he checked his surroundings to see if there was anybody around him. He came to the conclusion that there wasn’t so he placed the bottle to his lips and decided to take a drink. After taking what seemed like a good amount of water, he screwed the cap back onto the bottle and threw it back into his daypack.
Then, a thought came to him. He wondered if the water, if any, would be drinkable or not. He got up to his feet and grabbed the rope that hung over the side of the well. He struggled at pulling the rope, as the bucket slowly began to reach to the top of the well. As he was pulling at the rope, a soft sound could be heard in his ears. He stopped pulling on the rope for a minute to check to see if he could see anybody in the surrounding area. He noticed that there was nobody near him, so he began to continue to pull on the rope.
As the bucket eventually got to the top of the well, the water in the bucket began to swoosh around in the bucket. Andrew dipped one of his fingers into the bucket, and then licked his finger, to see if the water was drinkable or not. After coming to the conclusion that the water was safe, he took out his water bottle from his daypack, and topped it up, so that there would be more to drink later on.
As he placed the water bottle back into his daypack, the soft sound that he thought he imagined a minute ago could be heard again. Andrew thought to himself, “so, I’m not going crazy.” Andrew stopped what he was doing and tried to listen to what the sweet voice was saying.
As he began to listen, he was able to make out the words, “if anybody’s there, please don’t hurt me. I don’t want to play this game.” Andrew realised that it was a plea for help. Andrew walked about 2 meters away from where the well was placed and tried to see whom the voice was coming from.
The voice was getting louder as Andrew started to scout the area to see the source of the somewhat familiar voice. As he looked to the far right of where he was standing, he noticed that a figure was walking towards him. Andrew realised that the person was a girl, so he assumed to himself that the person wasn’t looking for a fight. He hid his face behind some branches from a nearby tree, so that the person wouldn’t spot him, just in case they were actually playing the game.
The figure started to come closer to Andrews’s position, and as the figure came closer, Andrew think he realised whom the voice was coming from. He came out from the position in which he was hiding in the hope that the girl would spot him.
“Andrew, is that you?”
Chapter 12
Together at last
The dark figure finally came into the light that was breaking throw the tree branches that surrounding the two figures. The light shone brightly onto the figure, which was standing opposite Andrew, to show to him that it was the girl he fancied, Ruth Munghan, (left the class as number 29).
Andrew breathed a sigh of relief as he walked over to where Ruth had stopped walking. Andrew smiled as he said, “are you O.K?” Ruth dropped her daypack onto the floor as she smiled to finally find somebody she recognised in this game. “Yeah, I’m fine. What about you?” Andrew replied back by saying, “I’m fine. I’m just glad that you’re safe.”
Andrew grabbed the daypack that Ruth had just dropped onto the floor, grabbed Ruth by the hand and lead her to the well, where Andrew had put his daypack onto the floor. Andrew dropped Ruth’s daypack next to his own and said, “do you mind if we put both of our stuff into one bag? It would make it easier.” Ruth nodded as Andrew unzipped Ruth’s daypack, and started to check out the contents. He came across the stuff that was found in every daypack, but he also was able to find what looked like had been given to Ruth as a weapon, heat-vision goggles. He took out the necessary stuff from Ruth’s daypack and placed them into his own. He then grabbed the now-empty daypack, and dropped it into the well.
Ruth looked around the unfamiliar place in which they stood in and said, “do you have a plan?” Andrew smiled and said, “as a matter of fact, I do!” Ruth looked puzzled after what she had just been told.
Andrew started to walk forward as Ruth followed beside him. “Well, before we left the classroom, Rocky told me to meet him, Fenny and Raymond up at the southern-most point of the island, so were going to meet up there, and then, were going to sort out a plan. O.K?”
Ruth nodded with what she had just heard, and the two began to walk on to their next destination.
As the two walked quietly together, (which is unusual for Andrew cause once he started talking, he could talk for England), Ruth started to speak to Andrew about the situation they where in. “Do you think we will actually be one of the three survivors in this?” As they continued to walk on, Andrew looked over at Ruth, who looked sad, which was unusual for Ruth as she smiled almost every day. Andrew replied to the enquiry, “well, if we stick together, and manage to find our friends, then I think we’ll be fine.”
Ruth smiled at Andrew, as if she was saying, “thank you for the boost of confidence”. Andrew now started to smile to himself as if he was thanking himself for a job well done, but what Andrew hadn’t noticed while he was giving himself a pat on the back, was that a shadow figure was running towards the couple at full speed.
Andrew eventually noticed this after he had stopped thinking to himself about what he wanted in the future. He pushed Ruth back behind his arm, to try and protect her, and as he tried to put his hands up in front of himself, as if he was a boxer, a stone hit him straight in the middle of his head. This made him flinch in his attempt to try and protect Ruth, but before he was able to get back and protect the one he loved, he heard those words that everybody dreaded,
“Here’s Johnny!”

Chapter 13
Crazy Rocky
"Hey Andrew, you feeling alright?" Rocky, (left the class as number 35), said towards Andrew whilst laughing. Andrew stopped rubbing his head and punched Rocky on the arm. "That’s payback for scaring the shit out of me!" Rocky and Andrew shared a laugh together as Rocky then noticed Ruth, standing behind where Andrew was. Ruth smiled at Rocky and said, "hi Tom! Are you O.K?"
Tom smiled and replied, "yeah, I’m fine. How did you to manage to come across each other?" Andrew looked towards the ground as if he was blushing and said, "it’s too much of a long story to tell you know. Hey what’s that you’re holding in your hand?"
Rocky looked down towards his hand, and then raised his right hand. "This is my supplied weapon. It’s an Pick Axe". Andrew laughed at the news he had just been told and said, "well, at least you got something better then us! I got a Plastic Fan and Ruth got a pair of Heat Vision Goggles." Rocky laughed at the fact that he had got a lucky break…and he had got a better weapon then Andrew at least.
"Where were you headed any way?" Rocky asked to settle the painful silence. Andrew sat back onto the ground and said, "we were going to the meeting point to wait for Fenny and Raymond, but we had just taken a quick pit stop after we had meet up with each other." Rocky nodded after what he had just been told.
"Well, I think we should get a move on, in case anybody finds us here. Were going to be an easy target if we just stay here like this." Ruth and Andrew agreed and as Andrew rose to his feet, Ruth started to walk just behind Rocky as the gang started to make their way to H-5.

Chapter 14
Nutter on the loose
Smiling with a big grin on his face after discovering his weapon, Rob Hunt, (left the class as number 24), held the Chainsaw up to the seeping moonlight that broke in through the branches of tress, that stood all around him.
He picked up his daypack that was left leaning against a tree. He threw it over his left shoulder as he held the chainsaw close in his hands, as if he was preventing it from being stolen from anybody near by. He slowly made his way through the tress that surrounded him in every direction.
Whilst walking through the thicket, he noticed a rustling sound coming form a big pile of bushes that where just up ahead of his position. He smiled and thought to himself, "finally, a chance to put this machine into use. As long as they don’t have anything better, I’m gonna win this!"
Moving swiftly, but quietly forward, Rob tried to hide himself from being fully noticed from his first enemy that he had come across. Yet, he wondered, if the enemy would be male or female, or if he knew whom the person was.
Whilst still moving forward, he shuck this thought out of his head, as now that he was in this game, he couldn’t have time to think of his past "friends". He smiled to himself as he thought, "this is going to be in the bag!"
Before he made his move, he pulled at the cord on his chainsaw, to put it into motion. As the chainsaw revved up, it looks as if the person hiding in the bushes became aware of an opponent nearing them.
As the chainsaw was fully revved up, Rob lunged towards the person using the bushes as a hiding place. After the teeth on the chainsaw cut through the first few branches on the bush, Rob realised, only too late, that the person he had attacked was Colin Holborn, (left the class as number 23).
But the problem was, once he had noticed who the person was, the teeth of the saw had been imbedded in the head of his what looked like, fallen opponent. Blood slowly started to drip from the wound onto the saw and slowly it began to form a puddle on the moist ground, as it started to spit on with rain.
Rob shrugged as if nothing had happened. He pressed the button on the side of the machine to stop it from continuing to make the "not very quiet" noise. He took out his plastic water bottle and slowly began to take a sip, to quench his thirst.
He put the bottle back into his daypack, without first noticing how calm and quiet it was, even though he had just killed somebody. Sure, it wasn’t with by his hands, but it felt great. Rob smiled to himself. "I think I can actually go on and win this shit!"
Rob held his chainsaw with a strong grip in his left hand, and raced down a hillside, trying to dodge the vines on his way down, and hoping that he wouldn’t trip up on his way down.

Chapter 15
Friends reunited
Puffing and panting, Raymond stopped to lean against a tree to catch his breath back. "Come on Fenny! Lets just stop for a minute!" Allan frowned towards Raymond, but then glanced over to where Abbey was standing. She smiled back at Allan and said, "I don’t mind what we do. You choose."
Allan started to blush as he spoke up to his allies, "I think we should just stop for a minute for Raymond to catch his breathe back, and so that we can check out our position." Abbey smiled at Allan, and to stop her from seeing that he was blushing, Allan turned away and started to look for somewhere to sit.
After finding what looking like a half-decent rock, Allan dumped his daypack onto the floor; he sat down on the rock and pulled back the zipper on his daypack. He pulled out the map and then glanced around the area they where situated in to see if he could find anything that would be recognised on the map.
Abbey was sat on top her daypack, hugging her knees together and Raymond was still trying to catch his breath back, as Allan stood up from sitting on top of the damp rock. Allan felt a sensation deep inside of him. Only to notice that he'd got a wet bum from sitting on the rock. Allan moved his hand across his bum to check to see if his intuition was correct.
Abbey noticed that Allan’s trousers were wet from sitting on the rock and started to snigger to herself. Allan noticed this, and to break the ice said, "well, so far, I can’t see anything that’s on this map that’s recognisable. I’m just gonna go for a little stroll around to see if I can find anything else. You two, stay together, I don’t want any of you getting hurt by my stupid mistakes, O.K?"
Raymond and Abbey both nodded as Allan walked through a little break in between the bushes and began to take a cautious approach as he walked on a small pathway.
As Allan continued to make his small journey, he began to think to himself, as he stared out at the night-scene. "How did we ever get involved in this shit? I knew that society blows, but I didn’t think this much!" Allan started to glance around again, until he noticed a break between some of the branches.
Allan, with a curious look on his face, walked towards the gap in the branches.
Once he had made it towards the branches, he started to peer through the gap, but before hand, he was able to smell what smelt like salt water. Allan peered through the branches to take a look. He was able to see a group of rocks scattered to the east, some more bushes to the west, but before he was able to look straight in front of himself, what seemed like a pointed chunk of ice squired his view.
"Reach for the sky Fenny!"

Chapter 16
Bad joke!
"AH SHIT!!!"
The person holding the ice pick withdrew it from Allan’s viewpoint, and covered his mouth to stop him from being heard by anybody that had decided to play this game.
"Calm down Fenny! It’s only me!" The person removed his hand from Allan’s mouth to allow him to speak. Allan turned around to notice that the person who had threatened him was Rocky.
Raymond and Abbey had came rushing from the position in which they where hiding, dragging along with them Allan’s daypack, which he had left behind.
"What’s happened?" Raymond spoke up towards the shadowy figure that Allan had hidden from his view. Allan spun around on the spot towards Abbey and Raymond and said, "there’s no need to worry, cause I’ve just found Tom, Andrew and Ruth."
Allan walked slowly forward into the cleared area to get a better view of his current surroundings. He was right of the fact that there was a cliff out in front of him. Allan then looked at the map, and found out that they had just entered H-5. He sighed to himself and then said "everybody, this is Abbey. She’s a friend from work. Be not concerned with her shyness, for it will pass."
Abbey smiled at everybody and coyly said "hi" and raised her right hand and waved at the rest of the group that she had only just met a few minutes ago. The rest of the group smiled at her and said hi.
Allan smiled towards Abbey and said, "now that the introductions are over and done with, we should try and get to safety as were just sitting ducks out here." Ruth nodded in agreement and said, "yeah, we should really find some shelter, but so far, I haven’t seen any places that would even class as a shed!"
Allan looked down at his map once again to see if he was able to spot anything. The only light that Allan was able to use was the moonlight; as if one of them turned on their torch, then somebody would probably spot them.
After searching the map for anything that would remotely class as a shelter, Allan came across what looked like a run down shrine, that wasn’t far from their position. Allan smiled at the fact they had come across a piece of good luck.
"Good news everyone! I’ve actually found a place that we could hide to sort things out." Andrew, with a big cheesy grin, replied, "what is it?" Allan looked over towards Andrew and said, "It’s a shrine that isn’t too far from where we are."
After hearing this good news, everybody cheered out in joy. Allan smiled at the reaction of everybody else in their newfound group. Allan spoke up towards the group, "the shrine is in sector I-6. We better get a move on before anybody here’s you bunch of loud mouths!" Allan laughed out and everybody else joined in.
Ruth started to think to herself, "wow! I can’t believe it, but maybe we can actually get of this island if we work together."
Raymond just remembered something as he said to Rocky, "hey Andrew, I think maybe you should hold onto this. Fenny gave it to me, but I don’t want to use it."
Raymond held out his right hand that was clutching onto the Smith & Wesson that Allan had given it him. Andrew looked down towards the gun and took it out of Raymond’s hand. "Thanks Raymond, but what about this plastic fan?"
Ruth said, "you should use it on yourself, because you can be quite a hot head at times!"
Everybody broke out laughing, as if it was a way to try and forget that they were stuck in this game.

Chapter 17
Who’s next?
Whilst holding on to her weapon, a Meat Cleaver, Katy Porter, (left the class as number 33), had finally made it to the place in which she was hoping to stay safe, until she had come up with a decent plan to help her escape this hell hole.
She took a quick glance around the docks, in the hope that nobody had decided that she would be an easy target with this weapon she had received. After coming to the conclusion that there wasn’t anybody around…yet, she dumped her bag next to a cardboard box. She sat on top of another cardboard and started to think to herself.
“Maybe I should have hid in one of those huts that I saw back there, but that probably would have been one of the first places that anybody playing this game would have gone to. So hopefully, nobody will find me here.”
Then Katy started to thing about the bad points of hiding in the port. “Oh GOD! I’m hiding right out in the open, so if somebody spots me here. I’m as good as dead!”
Katy sighed to herself, as this was a no-win situation. She looked down at her Meat Cleaver and hoped the time would come where she wouldn’t be forced to use it. She looked out towards the sea, which was situated behind her.
Although it didn’t look like she was close to land in the direction she was looking in, she was able to make out some lights, which where placed all over in a pattern, of what looked like where coming from houses from a near-by town or city.
Seeing these lights, Katy was more determined then ever to try and come out of this game a winner, even though she was petrified at the thought of being forced to kill somebody she knew.
Whilst thinking through what she maybe able to do next, Katy was able to hear the faint sound of pounding feet against the moist grass underneath the feet of what she thought might be two people fighting against each other.
After a while, the pounding of feet couldn’t be heard, as there was a rain of gunfire heard above everything else, which had echoed across the island.
Katy’s instincts of pondering whom the people might be, she crawled along the floor to the beginning of the docks and leaned up against the little grass hill that stood between her and the attackers.
After picking up the courage, Katy decided to poke her head over the top of the little grass hill that stood between her and the chasing enemies. After trying to focus her eyes onto the two bodies chasing each other, she able to see that they where Stuart Baker, (who left the class as number 5), and Johnny Ward, (who left the class as number 43).
Stuart was running in the direction that Johnny was running in, as Baker fired another round of bullets in the direction that Johnny was running towards.
Katy looked shocked and placed her hand over her mouth to stop herself from screaming out, as blood spouted out from Johnny’s body like a fountain. After the gunfire had stopped, Katy was able to hear the faint sounds of moaning, which was coming from Johnny’s body.
Stuart slowly walked over to where the body had dropped onto the floor. As Stuart went in for a closer look at his fallen victim. As he looked down at the body, he was able to make out that the weapon that he was holding was a poster tube. He smirked to himself and decided that it might come in handy if he took it for further reference.
He went down on one knee; as he tried to pry the tube lose from Johnny’s right hand. As he managed to pry it lose, he was able to hear a faint sound in his ear. He looked over towards the body, which he thought was down for the count.
“You … bastard! *cough* you wont win thi-“
But before Johnny was able finish what he was trying to say, a bullet was fired from the barrel of the 9mm Uzi that Stuart was holding and was lodged deep into the chest of Johnny Ward.
After seeing this, Katy hid back down below the hill in case Stuart would find her, and add her to his death list. But before she was able to hid completely from view, she accidentally drop her Meat Cleaver onto the wooden decking of the dock.
After completely finishing of his first victim, Stuart stopped after hearing the noise of something dropping onto the floor. He got up from kneeling down on the ground and wiped away some of the blood that splattered onto his face from firing the last bullet into Johnny Ward, with the left arm of his coat.
He walked southwest, which was the direction, which he thought the sound had come from. As he slowly walked over in the direction in which Katy was situated, he tried his bets to not any sounds.
As Katy heard the quite footsteps faster ever approaching her position, she stood up in a position in which she might be able to jump Stuart before he got the chance to shoot at her. She held onto her Meat Cleaver with her right hand, which was worse then what it was before.
As Stuart finally reached to where he assumed the sounds was coming from, he got the shock of his life when he saw a figure jump out in front of him, as she swung what looked like a Meat Cleaver swinging at him.
He placed his free left hand in the line of fire where the Meat Cleaver was aiming for to try and block the swing that was aiming for the side of his head. He managed to block the weapon, but it cut a lot of the skin on his arm in the progress.
After stopping Katy in her tracks with that attack, he jumped backwards and as he did, he opened fire on his new enemy, which was the first to do any damage to him.
As the bullets made an impact onto Katy’s body, she started to feel limp as the Meat Cleaver slowly dropped out of her hands, and fell to the ground with a thump.
As Stuart saw, and heard, the Meat Cleaver drop on the ground, he instantly knew that he had another victim to his ever-growing list. He went over and picking up his fallen enemy’s weapon and slung it into his daypack. He then searched around to see if he could see any of his foes daypacks. Because he was so impatient, he gave up after a few second of failure, and slowly left the deserted battlefield.

Chapter 18
Can you kill?
Whilst trekking through the marsh of a forest, Allan, Raymond, Tom, Andrew, Abbey and Ruth came through to a break in the scenery. Instead of what felt like the same trees over and over again, they came across the shrine in which they had been searching for.
“Hey look! We’ve finally made it!” Andrew shouted, as if he won the lottery or something. Ruth stared at Andrew and replied, “keep it down! We don’t want everybody on the island to know where we are!” Andrew’s _expression on his face suddenly changed as he turned around to Ruth and apologised.
Ruth smiled back at Andrew sand said, “don’t worry! I feel the same way, but we need to keep it quiet. The only people that we really want to know where we are are Sarah.”
The group continued to walk forward towards sanctuary, for now, but before the were able to get to their chosen destination, a sudden movement made all 6 of them jump out of their skins.
A spear had only just missed Allan, who was at the front of the group, by a matter of inches. Allan jumped back a step from his position and swung the sniper that was hung around his right shoulder and spun it out in front of him, as if he was ready to fight the new intruder. Andrew gripped the Smith & Wesson tighter then ever in his left hand as he placed it further forward in front of himself.
A shadowy figure was heard rustling about in the bushes to the left of them, but it was if the figure was trying to move around to where the spear had been thrown.
Raymond looked as anxious as ever as he frantically moved his head to try and get a clear view of the person that was trying to attack them. As his head moved in the left direction one more time, he finally got a clear view of whom they were about to attack….Michael Shepard, (who left the class as number 39).
Raymond looked like he had seen a ghost as he yelled out to the others of whom their enemy was. “Watch out, it’s Shepard!” But before Allan was able to react towards the situation, Shepard jumped out from his hiding place, and grabbed Raymond around the neck.
“Alright, drop all of your weapons onto the ground, otherwise Baines here, will be in for a world of hurt! DO IT NOW!”
Allan and Andrew slowly placed their weapons onto the ground, in the hope that Michael would let Raymond go.
Rocky smiled to himself as he though, “hey, he mustn’t know that i have a weapon as well."
Rocky slowly removed his Ice Pick, which he had hidden up the sleeve of his jacket, so that it wouldn’t be visible to Shepard. He slowly dropped it out from underneath his jacket sleeve whilst Shepard wasn’t looking. He spoke up to the rest of the group to reassure them. “Don’t worry guys, I have a plan.”
Shepard looked over at Rocky with a confused looked across his face, whilst still clutching onto Raymond’s neck. Without a second thought, he tossed his Ice Pick in Shepard’s direction in the hope he would release Raymond in shock.
As the Ice Pick was hurled in his direction, Shepard managed to see it at the last moment, which allowed him to just avoid it as it scraped across the side of his shirt. The movement of the Ice Pick caused a cut into his shirt, which formed a slit like shape into his skin.
This forced to let go of his hostage and hold the side of his arm in agony. With Raymond free of his clutches, Allan and Andrew both dived for their guns to seek revenge on what had just happened to their friend.
At the same time, Allan and Andrew pulled the trigger on their newly regained guns. A few second after the triggers had been pulled back, bullets where released from the barrels of their gun and made contact within the body of their enemy.
Just to make sure that he would stay dead, Allan fired another bullet that made contact in the middle of his old best friend’s forehead.
As the bullet buried deep into the brain of the now lifeless Shepard, Allan walked over to where the body had not stopped moving and spoke, “you should have stayed friends with me Shepard, then it wouldn’t have come to this”.
Allan threw his Sniper Rifle back over his right shoulder as he and the rest of the group slowly moved towards what would become their hiding place, for the time being.

Who’s next for the chop?
Whilst sitting in the shine and trying to get used to the new surroundings, they group where interrupted by the loud sound of a very familiar voice, Thomas.
“Good morning everybody! I hope things are going well for you despite being in this game. Why don’t you have some food and water whilst I read out the list of all those that you have been bust killing so far.”
He continued with, “In numeric order of who left the class, we have: -
Sarah Bell Sarah Davidson James Glover Colin Holborn Katy Porter Michael Shepard Johnny Ward”
After taking a breath, he continued by saying, “BINGO! Sorry, I couldn’t resist! Any way, here are the list of the danger zones, and what time they are accivated: -
At 7am, G-5 At 9am, D-2 At 11am, B-3
Even if some of them used to be your friends, don’t forget, some of you will be joining them very soon! The next update will be at 12pm.”
As Ruth looked around the room, she noticed that Rocky looked frustrated. To try and see if he was all right, she spoke up to him. “Rocky, are you alright? Ever since the announcement, you’ve looked annoyed.”
Rocky looked over towards Ruth and smiled. “Yeah, I’m fine, but I’m just frustrated of the fact that Johnny died. He was a good friend of mine, but I never thought that he would die so early into this game.”
Andrew walked over to where Rocky had placed himself on the floor and patted him on the shoulder as a means of comfort. “It will be alright.” He said. “We can get revenge for him, if you’re willing to try and win this game.” Rocky looked up towards Andrew and nodded at his suggestion, and then walked over to where Allan had positioned himself in front of the doorway.
“Fenny, what are you doing?” Rocky asked out of curiosity. “Fenny still looking out towards the rest of the island and replied, “I’m just making sure that nobody has followed us. Ever 2 hours or so, were going to have somebody keep watch, while the rest of us tries to make a plan, or gets some rest, O.K?”
Rocky was surprised at what he ha just heard. “Wow Fenny! You seem to know a lot about survival techniques don’t you?” Allan smiled as he replied to Rocky, “well, to be honest, I’ve watched a lot of survival programs on telly with my dad. Any way, I thought that it was common knowledge any way.”
Rocky looked like he was going to laugh, but he just couldn’t bring himself to do it. Allan stared out towards the scenery. Although it was a nice view of trees, with a mountain in the distance, and clouds plodding along as if nothing happened, Allan was still thinking about what he might be able to do to get out of this hellhole.
All of a sudden, Allan was able to remember something, which he forgot to ask earlier. Allan’s eyes changed their direction from the peaceful scenery to turn around to Abbey.
“Abbey.” Allan spoke up as he looked over at the group. “Do you know if you got any more bullets in your daypack at all, or are the bullets in the gun, all there is?”
Everybody looked towards where Abbey had positioned herself on the cold, wooden floor. She dove into her daypack to see if she could find something that she thought might be of use. After a few second of searching the daypack, she came across a small box.
“His this what you mean Allan”. She said as she held up the box towards Allan, who in return walked over towards Abbey, and took the box from her out-stretched right hand. Allan opened up the box, and was able to find a few rows of gold tipped bullets facing him.
Allan smiled as he said, “well, it looks like we have enough bullets at least.” Allan walked over towards Andrew and handed him the box and said, “here, you might needs these. Do you mind if you watch over the door in case somebody finds us? I’m of to get something I shouldn’t be too long, and if I am, could you avenge my death?”
Andrew smiled and then nodded as he got up from sitting on the ground and walked just behind Allan, as if it was the scene in Kill Bill Volume 1, like when Chiaki Kuriyama is walking behind Lucy Liu. Andrew stopped at the entrance to the shrine, as Allan continued through the door way and into the trees that where just ahead of him.
Allan waddled through the barrage of tress that blocked his view. Whilst trying to remember where only moments ago they had killed an old friend of his. Once upon the body of his former friend, he looked around to see if he could catch a glimpse of where the weapon had been thrown.
After finally finding the whereabouts the spear had been thrown, Allan clutched harder on his Sniper Rifle as he walked over towards the spear, to try and release it from its imprisonment. After reaching the tree of where the spear was placed, Allan tried to force it free from the tree, so that he would be able to use it in future references.
Whilst pulling at the spear to free it, a gentle rustling of leaves could be faintly heard over the breeze of the wind. Without taking much notice to this, Allan finally managed to pry lose the spear. After releasing the spear, Allan was greeted with the soft sound of somebodys voice that could only just heard over the wind.
The voice sounded scared, as the words were released from the person’s mouth reached Allan’s ears. “Allan, is that you?”

Chapter 20
Whatever next?
Sweat continued to roll down the side of the face of the frightened young participant in this game. Natalie Rocks, (who left the class as number 36), continued to kneel down in the soft, wet mud, that lay below her trainers. Natalie continued to look down at the weapon she had been given to participate in the game.
As she looked down at the carrier bag, it started to rustle in the gentle wind that blew and made the leaves on the tress that surrounded her move as well. Natalie sighed to herself as she hugged her knees in anger, to the fact the she was supposed to fight with a carrier bag!
She sniggered to herself as she though, "I hope that nobody has bet on me!" She sighed to herself in the hope of trying to forget the situation that she had been dragged into. As she looked between her legs, at the mud that seemed even worse, thanks to the light rainfall that had happened a few hours ago, she began to think of the scenario that she was in.
"If I just stay here, I might as well just kill myself because I can't really do anything with a weapon. But, if I can find anybody that has a worse weapon then mine, then i might be able to get further in this game!"
Still looking down at her weapon, she nodded to herself as if it was a sign to say that she was going to try and get as far as she could, before her luck would run out. She smiled at her devious plan as she started to hear a faint rustling sound behind her.
Noticing this noise, Natalie jumped out of her skin, whilst trying not to be noticed by who the enemy might be. She knelt down, whilst trying to remove some of the branches that blocked her view from seeing who the person was.
After moving the branches to the side, with as little noise as possible, she was able to see that the person that had made the noise, even though it didn’t look like he meant to, was Tom Hebblethwaite, (who left the class as number 22).
Natalie was shocked, not to the fact that she had found somebody else that was a matter of feet from her, but also the fact that even after making that noise, he didn’t move after making that faint noise.
Natalie got back down to her original position and silently sniggered to herself as she though, “this is the lucky break that I've been looking for! Now, if I can actually get close enough to him, without noticing me, then I might be able to begin the start of my killing spree!”
Natalie tried to manoeuvre herself around the bushes that surrounded the area that she was currently in, without making any noise, and she managed to do it like she was doing an army training course.
Finally, when she was out of the way of the bushes that stopped her from making a direct attack on Tom, she ran up to him, and kicked him the lower spine, which sent Tom falling onto the floor. Natalie then jumped on top of him, to stop him moving around. She managed to turn him onto his back, which gave Natalie the opportunity that she was looking for.
Before he had time to react after finding out whom the person was, Tom was greeted with a carrier bag being lunged at his mouth. Before he was able to close his mouth, the bag had been inserted into it. Whilst he was trying to remove the bag from his mouth, Natalie punched him in the stomach, which winded him, and stopped him from removing the bag any further.
Whilst on the ground trying to recover from the impact, Natalie took the chance, and used her hands to clam Tom’s mouth shut, in the hope that he would suffocate on the bag.
Even though he was winded, he still tried to use his hands from removing Natalie’s hands from his mouth, but before he was able to grab hold of her hands, his eyelids started to get heavy, and they slowly closed.
After a few seconds of seeing this, Natalie finally released her hands from Tom’s mouth in success, of that her plan actually worked. She sighed to herself after seeing somebody die right in front of her eyes…and bye her hands!
A cheeky little smile came across her face, even if she had just killed somebody, she still wasn’t ready to give up just yet. She began thinking to herself. Hmm, I wonder if I could ever go on and win this?”
Before she was able to get up from her position on the floor, she overheard a loud noise that was rocketed through the air, and Natalie was then greeted with the feel of a small blade, that had just passed straight though her, and blood slowly started to drip from a hole that had appeared in her chest.
After she stopped looking at the blood that she tried to stop from leaving her body with her hands, she looked out just in front of her to see what had penetrated her body. She squinted her eyes as blood continued to flood out of her body, as she managed to see what looked like a shuriken that had been embedded into the bark of a tree, straight in front of her.
As she looked around to see if she could spot her assassin, she felt the same pain shot through her body, but this time, it was where her heart once beted inside of her body. After the second shuriken went straight through her body, her body dropped down to the floor, and as it did, blood rapidly began to poor more out of her body.

Chapter 20
What you gonna do? (What you gonna do, what you gonna do, when we come for you?)
As the out-of-breath, young teenager continued to try and make her way to what she thought might have been safety, Charlotte Follan, stopped for a few minutes to try and catch her breath before she continued on her mission, to try and find anybody else that might be regretting being but into this game.
As she leant against a near-by tree, she used her free hand to take out of her supplied bread and quietly, started to nipple on one of the ends, to recover some of her strength. As she started to chew on the food, it started to rain again, which meant only one thing, they were still in England, whilst participating in this game.
After she had chewed away what looked like a third of her supplied bread, Charlotte placed it back into her daypack, and then zipped it back up.
After another five minutes had passed, Charlotte began taking out her map and flashlight from her coat pocket. She flipped open her map, after she folded it up to place it into her coat pocket in the first place. She switched on her flashlight to get a clear view of where she had placed her self whilst stopping.
Because of the darkness that shrouded her, she needed to have the flashlight switched on, even if it was risky, as it might show her location to others. She scanned her eyes over the map to see if she could see what her current position was.
After coming to the conclusion that she was in the section, E-6, she switched of her flashlight and placed it with her map back into her coat pocket. Once they where safely stored, Charlotte took out her crowbar from her daypack and held it close in her hands, to try and stop herself from dropping it with fear.
After her pit stop, Charlotte started to make her way through the thicket in the hope to run into somebody, that wasn’t a psycho.
With her crowbar in hand, Charlotte was greeted with the faint sound of rustling leaves, which blending in with the sound of the raindrops. This alarmed Charlotte, but because she was scared shitless, she couldn’t bring herself to run.
Still stood on the spot, she was sure that the rustling sound started to move around her, as if it was a pack of wolves, surrounding its prey. She held out her crowbar in front of her as she rustled around in her daypack in search of her other weapon.
Whilst still searching for her other weapon, she took her eyes of the place where she thought that the noise was coming from. A fatal mistake.
Without her noticing what was going on around her, the noise that she heard started to get louder and closer, which started to make Charlotte jump and drop her weapon, which imbedded itself in the soft, deep mud.
Noticing her weapon had fallen to the ground, she bent down to try and pick it up, but whilst she did this, the person that was making the noise lunged at her, with what looked like a machete, clutched between their hands.
Charlotte, whilst still on the ground, managed to see what was happening, and at the last minute managed to dodge the maniac, by diving out of the way, just in time. Whilst standing up on her feet, she noticed that the machete, which made some blood, caught her trailing hand, start to drip onto the ground.
Charlotte noticed this, but again, took her eyes of the madman, which gave the person the opportunity to strike again, this time, he was aiming for her arm.
Charlotte was testing her luck to the limits, but this time, her luck ran out, as the blade made full contact with her arm, and the sharp blade cut through her arm, like a blowtorch through butter.
Her arm silently dropped to the ground, but Charlotte wasn’t too bothered about that as she was screaming out in too much pain to care. Whilst grimacing at the pain, and finally realising her arm was on the ground, she knew that if she didn’t make a move right now, it would all be over for her.
Remembering that she still had her original weapon, she dove into her open daypack, with her free, and still intact hand, and grabbed hold of her knife.
Holding it out in front of her body, in her eyes, was a mixture of both fear and pain. From the grimacing of Charlotte, all she was able to see was a slim silhouette of her enemy.
Holding her knife at an angle, as if she was anticipating what move was coming next, the silhouette came rushing towards her, and as it did, it didn’t look as slim as she first thought.
The figure slashed away at her face with the machete, but with what was a feeble weapon compared to her enemy's it was still able to block the attack, but in doing so, the knife flew out of her hands and dropped to the ground.
Tears filled Charlotte’s eyes with pain, as the knife was only to block half of the attack, which left the machete to make a deep cut into her hand. Falling to the ground due to more pain that she had suffered, she thought to herself, “so this is it, I’m gonna die at the hands of a madman with a machete.”
As if to say to the silhouette that she had given up, Charlotte lowered her head towards the ground and looked down with a blank look as if she was waiting for the inedible to happen.
The silhouette realised what his opponent was trying to say, and without a second thought, the blood covered blade sliced its way through the head of the lifeless opponent.
Upon doing so, the body fell to the soft ground with a loud thud, and once the body had hit the floor, you where able to see all the damage that the blade had done inside the head of the defenceless girl, as some of Charlotte’s brain had poured out of her body and onto the soft ground.

Chapter 21 Who? What? How? Where and Why?
"Sarah, is that really you? We were just thinking about looking for you!" Allan was shocked as the face of someone whom he recognised really well, came into the light of the moon, which was breaking in through the trees that surrounded them.
Sarah Minnis, (who left the class as number 27), stepped forward, so that her face was fully revealed in the light, that shone quite bright, despite the now heavy rainfall.
Sarah looked like she was in deep shock as she slowly moved towards Allan. "Allan, is there anybody else with you, or are you just by yourself?" Allan started to walk, and Sarah slowly started to walk to the side of him.
As they walked, side-by-side, Allan began to answer the question that Sarah had fired towards him. "We’ve got together quite a small group. There’s Rocky Raymond Andrew Ruth Abbey Norman and myself. She’s a friend of mine. We work together at Thomas’s."
Sarah slightly nodded whilst trying to take in all this news as if she was excited in a way, to know that the people she knew that were in this game, were all safe. Sarah, still continuing to follow Allan, even though she didn’t know where she was going. "Allan, where are we going?"
As the two neared the temple of sanctuary, which the group had cleverly named, Allan replied by saying, "we decided that we should try and stay in a temple that we found, until it gets turned into a danger zone, which probably would happen in the next call out."
Sarah nodded again in agreement after hearing this, as the two finally got to the temple.
Allan slowly opened the door, which creaked whilst moving, to reveal a gun being pointing right in front of his face.
Allan, whilst being calm, spoke aloud, "Andrew, lower the gun. It’s just me, and a new recruit that I found wondering outside."
Allan stepped aside, as everybody in the room look confused, before Sarah came into everybody’s view.
"SARAH!" Sarah was greeted with open arms as she entered into the room. Whilst everybody ran up to her, Tom walked over to Allan and said, "so where did you find her?"
Allan went over to where the table was placed and lent up against it. He put down his gun and newly found spear onto it and replied, "I wash just going to retrieve the spear that once belonged to Shepard cause I thought it might come in handy. You know. Waste not, want not."
Rocky nodded in agreement and then asked, even though he already knew the answer, "whose going to get the spear then?" Allan looked over at Rocky and said, "do you even have to ask?"
A little smile came across his face before he replied to Rocky. "I’m gonna give it to Abbey!" Rocky looked flushed after hearing this response, without realising that his friend was actually joking.
Allan laughed as he then said, "hey! I’m just kidding. Of course you’re going to have it, unless you would rather prefer to keep hold of that ice pick."
Rocky looked calmly down at his weapon that he’d placed onto the table and stared at it in deep thought. A few seconds passed before replying, "I think I’ll take the spear. It looks more powerful then this ice pick."
Rocky picked up his new weapon from the table and started thrusting it into the air, as if he was locked in battle with an opponent.
Smiling to himself, he then declared to everybody else that was surrounding in the room, "I think they maybe I should go on watch for the next hour. What do you think?"
After hearing this, nobody argued, so Rocky made his way towards the front of the shrine, whilst Ruth opened her mouth to talk to Sarah. "What weapon did you get in this? I bet it was better then what I got. A pair of heat-vision goggles."
A little snigger creped out the side of Sarah’s mouth as she said, "I got a first-aid kit. At least its something that we can all use." After hearing what Sarah had just said, Allan began thinking to himself, "well, at least Rocky will be able to help out in that department."
30 to go Chapter 22 Fire in the hole!To check the huge building that she had just entered, Ashley Bentford, (who left the class as number 7), fired a round of bullets from her supplied Machine gun into the air.
A few seconds passed.
Because she didn’t hear any noises, Ashley assumed that there was nobody else in the building. Breathing a huge sigh of relief, Ashley closed the door, so that only a small beam of light could make it into the building, which worked well with the light that came from the skylights on the ceiling of the building.
Ashley looked around, via the light that was provided to her, to see if she could see anything of any use inside the building. She began thinking to herself; "this is too big to be any old building. This must be something like a warehouse."
Whilst scanning her new surroundings, she was able to see what looked like a small blue bag that was hiding behind a set of crates to her left. To her right-hand side, were more crates.
Ashley walked over to the bag and picked it up from its location. She placed her daypack and school bags onto the floor, so she had easier access to the unclaimed daypack. She pulled back the zipper, and was shocked to find what the contents of the pack where.
A GPS Locator.
Ashley began smiling to herself at the sight of some good fortune. She threw away the empty daypack onto the floor and placed the GPS Locator into her jacket pocket.
After the incident of finding the GPS Locator, Ashley needed to find some light, as this building was pitch black!
Ashley turned on her flashlight, but cupped the end with one of her hands, so that the full force of the light wouldn’t be forced out, and gives away her location. Ashley spun the flashlight around in a 180-degree motion in front of her; to see if there would be anything that stuck out in her mind.
A little switch that was placed to the wall on her left-hand side was what looked like the nearest thing to a light switch. So Ashley made a swift journey over to where the switch had been placed and flicked it on.
The lights above her head started to flicker, as a few second later, they appeared on. A puff of dust flew of some of the lights, as if they hadn’t been used in a long time.
After receiving some light, Ashley decided that she would need to take a short rest to recuperate after her long struggle to find a place what looked like might be safe.
She walked over towards the doors fully and then found a plank of wood that was lying next to the door. She placed her Machine Gun onto the floor, and picked up the plank of wood, and then placed it over some pieces of metal that had been placed at the end of the door on both sides.
She then picked up her weapon front its position on the floor, and gripped its handle quite tight, as if she felt that somebody was coming her way.
After what seemed like a job and a half, Ashley decided that she would need to rest, in case somebody came after her, or if somebody she knew was searching for her.
She grabbed the chair that had been knocked over onto the floor, as if somebody else had shocked the person that once sat on it, and set it up right. She sat on the chair next to a table, and placed her Machine Gun and GPS from her jacket onto the table, away from the playing cards that had been spread across the table.
She picked up all the playing cards, and formed them back into a pile. She began thinking to herself; "these might come in handy later if I get bored."
After these thoughts passed through her head, she began to close her eyes and fall deeply asleep.
