Season 3 Episode 3 ”When In Rome “

A voice says Previously on Brimstone, The following clips are played.

1-From Encore, Zeke shoots gilbert clear in the eyes, but no effect, he only turns into a blueish soul for a brief moment. “What’s the matter Zeke” taunts Jax, as he throws Zeke through a wooden fence.

2-From The Last Temptation, Merlin throws a fireball at Zeke, who dodges. Three windows come to life as humanoids, he swing a stick into one & it shatters. Merlin Descends on him, & they fight hand to hand combat. Zeke is magically hurled into a wall.

3-From The Four Horsemen Part 2, Zeke fire shots at a native american man (pestilence), but they have no effect. Zeke tackles him to to ground, but he lifts Zeke up & throws him through a wall.

4-From Encore, Zeke flashes to to see Roz crying in the shower.

5-From Encore, Gilbert taunts Zeke, by saying “”I raped your wife, your wife was the best” and Zeke tackles him.

Scene 1(The language for this scene is italian, subtitles are used):
A man & a woman are walking down the street. Two men approach them, one very tall, with a thin neck, & bald on top, the remaining hair is black. The other average height, & long blond hair, but looks much more built. The tall one says “good day fine people, care to come to our party?” From the tone of his voice it is distingquisable that he is from the upper class. They shake there heads & continue along. The blond looks at his friend disappointed, who then starts following them & say ”Oh but I insist!” He waves his hand out, & a dagger appears. They gasp, in shock. And he stabs the man, the woman in turn screams, they grab the woman, & don’t even care to gage her mouth, ether not caring if she screams, or enjoying it, probably both. “Sara,...no” says the man in a weak voice. Our hero Zeke hears the commotion. & comes running, his trench coat waving in the gusty wind almost like a cape. He is to late to stop them, they are long gone, but he grabs the man, & runs for help.

Intro/Opening Credits

Scene 2: Zeke is in a hospital, trying to leave, when the nurse comes over. She is asking him what happened, he explains (the half truth) that he only heard a scream & found him, stabbed. “Will he be ok” asks Zeke. “I,...I belief he will be.” “Thanks, I’ll be back to check on him. She is about to protest, but she is paged & goes back to work.

Scene 3(The language for this scene is italian, subtitles are used): The blond man from earlier walks into a room, he looks around, sees people smiling at a party. He walks around, & then makes his way to the bar. “Name you pleasure” says the bartender. “Jack & coke” he replies. He takes the drink, & takes a sip, when the taller man from earlier comes up behind him & puts a hand on his shoulder. “Sven, I’m Glad you could make it!” “Please, I would never miss a party.” They laugh, & walk over to a stage. But stop when over hearing a conversation, where someone said “goat cheese.” The tall man stops, & says “what was that?” The man response “goat cheese can have less calories & cholester...” the mans words are stopped by a right hooked to the jaw, which nearly sends him flying across the room. “ He then look at the 2 others in the conversation “take your friend & be gone.” They look confused, the blond steps forward & says “now” in a demanding voice holding up a bowie knife. They scramble to there friend, and help him up.

Scene 4(‘Lake Of Fire’ by The Meat Puppets is playing here):
Zeke is walking down the street, where he was before. He looks around the scene of the crime, & sees a small patch where the ground sizzles, it looks like the back half of a foot print. He stares at it for a moment, concentrating, but looking blankly. Then a picture of a mansion flashes in his head for a second.

Scene 5(The language for this scene is italian, subtitles are used):
The 2 guys walk onto the stage, & the tall one drops his glass, next to a microphone. Everyone stops & looks. “Thank you all for coming” he says “it is so wonderful that all of you would come and party with us, but I have other important matters to attend to. Several voices in the crowd moan “no.” “But fear not, the party will continue, & I will see you at the next one.” With that the crowd cheers.

*White flash*

The 2 guys are walking through a long corridor, the tall one has changed into a toga of some sort. They come to a small pool. The blond walks to the side, off screen. While the tall one gets in, letting his toga get wet not caring. The other comes back holding the woman form earlier (who is now wearing a toga) by the arm. “What do you want from me” she demands. From behind you see him pull off her toga, nothing else is on underneath, and he shoves her in.

Scene 6: The man is in the hospital in intensive care. He is still unconscience, but he tosses about in restless sleep, saying “no,... no let her go, don’t do this you animals, noooooo.” Medical attendants rush in, sensing destress, & try to calm him down.

Scene 7: Zeke is walking down the street asking people questions, with no audio heard only pointing & shaking of heads. This goes on a while till he comes to an area with big houses, & mansions. But not the one he saw in his head. But he does not give up, and after a relentless search, he finds it. It is huge, & well guarded, but zeke won’t quit, he hops up onto the border, & climbs over. He looks down, & the coast is clear, so he jumps down. He hears foots steps, so he hinds behind some shrubs. A guard is silently approaching him him, but right before he can get to Zeke, he throws a backhand into the guards face.

*White flash* (The language here is italian, subtitles are used):
The woman is huddled on the floor crying, the blond walks out, wearing a toga, & the tall one puts on another toga. She sees some clothes over on the side, and a big knife too. She makes mad dash for it, for it is only a few yards. He senses her moment & catches her by the the arm. She manages to get the knife, & stab at him, but no blood, he slaps her. she falls down hard, & he yells “You fool, you cannot kill a god!” He takes the knife & pierces his own chest with it. She gasps in horror, wondering “what is he?” “you see,” he states.

Scene 8: Zeke is at the bar holding a drink, looking around. The blond coming walking, about to go past him, & he slams the glass into his eye. He screams and starts bleeding. “Opps” says Zeke in a sarcastic voice “I guess the other one is the damned soul.” People have notice the commotion. “Everything is all right” Zeke calmly states “just you average, misunderstanding, turned into,... a BARFIIIIGHT!” With that he shoves the guy into the angry mob coming at him, grabs a bottle form the bar, downs what’s in it (vodka), & runs down a corridor.

Scene 9(The language for this scene is italian, subtitles are used): He is standing over the woman she attempts a kick in the crotch, but obviously no luck. “What is wrong with you, you could have been my wife, instead you are a fool.” “I, am already married.” “Then we cold be lovers, or I could kill him, wait, did I?” She cries again, not knowing what became of her husband. “Back to your cell” he says “you have insulted me, you will stay there. I will decide, if you should be executed.” He is to intrigued with boasting power to the woman, that he doesn’t notice Zeke has crept up behind him, and clonks the bottle on his head. He stumbles, but does not come close to falling. “Head for the door” Zeke tells the woman(in english). He kicks back at Zeke, who easily dodges. But this gives him a moment to recover. But Zeke has no intention of fighting fair, he pulls his gun, & starts shooting. the man dives to the side, avoiding shattered eyes. He, pulls 2 knives out of thin air, & hurls them at Stone. Zeke side steps one, however the other, knocks his gun out of his hand. That doesn’t faze Zeke, who grabs the woman, he goes back out the door. There may be a mob there, but he uses his strength to force through them, & with only a joke of resistance he makes it through.

Once through however, they dash for the door, but he is already standing there. “You cannot escape a god, surrender the woman, and I might decide to make use of you talents, rather then kill you. Seems I need a new pretorian guardian.” Zeke let’s her hand go. “No, get me out of here please” she begs of Zeke, but he pays her no mind. The evil man gives an I know I can’t be beat smile, but he celebrated to soon. Zeke kicks him in the groin, & he stumbles over in pain. Stone then he grabs the woman, who is mildly smiling, & jumps through a window.

Scene 10: They have retreated back to a house, where a conversation takes place. “Thank you, for what you did back there.” “It was nothing, just my job.” “You keep a dangerous job all the time?” “Trust me, I have no choice,.. oh your husband...” “What happened, is he ok?” “Yes, I got him to the hospital, in pretty bad shape, but they said he should live?” “And,...” she begin to ask something, but stops. “You want to know, of the things you saw before, just no he, whoever he is, is more then just an ordinary madman.” “Is he really a god.” “Oh no, trust me, there’s only one god.” “Yes,... but which one?” Zeke only shrugs. “Oh I found this” she says extending her hand, he put his out & she drops a very rusty coin into it. He examines it. It has some weird writing on it, and looks really old. “I’m Zeke by the way,” “I’m Sara” she replies.

Scene 11: Stone walks into a coin shop, with sara “can I help you” asks an old man behind the counter, in italian, & so Sara translates “I hope so” replies Zeke handing him the coin. The man looks shocked. “This is in excellent condition, are you interested in, selling” translates Sara back to him. “Maybe” he smugly replies “but what can you tell us about it?” The man says something, then Sara says “this is real old, he says really old, probably thousands of years, & he is shocked about how good condition it is in. It is worth alot.” “Can he tell us, anything more.” A brief conversation takes place in Italian, & Sara says to Zeke “he says to leave the coin, & return in a few hours.” “And just leave the coin? Zeke begins to question, but he stops “Hey, it’s your coin!” And not waiting for a respnce the man hands over some currency. Sara takes it & hands half of it to Zeke, “for collateral, its about $10,000,” “Ok then” he replies. “But who cares about the coin, we can split the money.”

Scene 12: Sara, with Zeke behind her, enters the hospital. She goes to the counter and has a few brief words with the people at the counter, that Zeke is to far away to make out. Then she goes into his room.

*White flash*

She walks out of the room, down the hall. Zeke is sitting in the waiting room, he sees her & gets up “is everything all right?” She pauses & says “I believe so.”

Scene 13(The language for this scene is italian, subtitles are used):
Our villains are in a car, the blond one driving. “So do we party tonight boss?” “Tonight, I have business to attend to, no party.” The blond looks disappointed. “Fear not friend, soon the infidels will be no more, & we will party, for all eternity.”

Scene 14(This scene uses 2 languages, translation by Sara takes place): Zeke, & Sara walk back into the coin store. “Welcome back” says the man.” “Did you find anything” asks Zeke. “Like I thought, this is genuine. It was made in the middle of the 1st century AD, during the reign of Caligula. “Caligula?” “Yes, he was briefly emperor, for only 4 years.
*White flash*
Zeke is in a library doing some research. Every once & a while, he stops and goes “whaaaaat?” Then The Devil walks over & says “I wasn’t aware you could read.” “Oh yes, one of my favorite pastimes.” “As in the past before you went to hell?” “Exactly!” “And why exactly are you reading instead of sending this lunatic, back home, where he belongs.” “Do I even know who this, lunatic is?” “You must, at least you believe you do, if you’re here doing research.” “Just checking something.” “Did you actually ever read before you died? You know I don’t recall you ever reading a book.” “Ok, so I has a busy life, but your memory is off, I did read some books.” “Name one.” “Frankenstein!” The Devil looks disappointed, “how, typical of you.” “What, you don’t approve?” “No, as a matter of fact, I don’t. Don’t really care that is. Go waste your time with silly books about things that could never be.” “cause the dead can’t be brought back” mocks Zeke “that would mean I’m not here.” “No Zeke you are here, but you’re not alive Zeke, while the monster was.” “It actually is very good book.” “Please, your going to tell me you’d rather read, then watch the damn movie.” “I never said that. What I am saying is it is a good book. It kind of about you.” “Me?” “Yes, are you evil because you were created that way, or because society made you that way?” “Ezekiel, I’m touched, I never knew you cared.” “I don’t.” Satan laughs at that & replies “ouch that hurt, just hurry up & find him already, he seeks console from horses you know. Do away with him quickly, for you never know what horses might tell someone to do.” The Devil laughs somemore & says “I will give you this piece of advice, where would you go to cause the most havoc in Italy?” then disappears.

Scene 15: A wide shot of the Vatican is shown, & screams are heard. “Fear not people, your true god has returned” says Caligula. He walks over to some pillars & knocks them down, then goes to the main building, & starts punching holes in the wall. But he is stopped when a large sea shell hits him on the head, & he falls down. “You lost your crown, almighty emperor.” Caligula looks up to see Zeke, pointing a gun on him. Zeke attempts to shot, but in the blink of an eye Caligula throws a knife at him & the gun falls down. Caligula quickly rises, and he charges at Zeke, then stops and throws a punch. But Zeke instinctively ducks, & punches his gut. However Caligula is an age old warrior, & raises a knee to zeke’s face. Zeke, goes flying back but pulls out his legs. At the same time he makes a sword appear, and zeke has blocks it with his left arm. He gets as cut as a soul can be cut, making his arm look just open as if nothing is there. And they fall on the floor, rolling away from each other. They both scramble to there feet, & stair at the opponent that matches there own wits in combat. then caligula charges zeke, throwing dagger after dagger, zeke bounces left & right avoiding them, but soon they are in close combat, & they are able the get to zeke faster, & soon 2 fly toward zeke, who dodges one but takes the other in the gut. He bends over, & caligula grabs his face, going for the eyes, but Zeke, is used to this, & merely grabs his wrist, now they are locked in a stalemate. Zeke glances to the side, & sees his gun, he pulls Caligula down towards it. They hit the floor & separate, Caligula landing on his sword. Zeke gets up faster, he goes to kick caligula, but falls down with a punch. while he is stunned, Zeke takes his gun, when he recovers he sees zeke pops 2 shots into his eyes, & he is sucked back to hell. Zeke falls in pain, as the tattoo burns off right where he was cut. He takes out some of the money, & leaves it by the now broken wall.

Scene 16(‘The Heart Of The Matter’ By Don Henly is palying here): Zeke goes back to the hospital, the man has woken up. Zeke walks in & Sara says “oh Zeke, meet my husband, Jimmy.” Zeke walks over & shakes his hand. “You helped us greatly, thank you” he says to Zeke “You’re welcome. Well, I’ve got to head back home now.” Then Sara says “If you ever return, come see us.” “I’ll remember that. Now I bid you farewell.” He turns & starts walking out, but Sara stops him. “You saved my husband, that is the best thing you could have ever done.” She hugs him, & says “thank you,” then adds a kiss on the check too. Zeke only smiles & gives a nod, then he leaves. Sara goes & joins her husband in the bed, and he asks her “tell me what to do honey, so we can get past this?” “What’s done is done” she replies with a half smile, eyes tearing. She rests her head on his shoulder and says “I don’t know how...” “But we will” he says completing the sentence. He manages to put an arm around her, & give her a hug. The picture slowly fades out.
