What is Star Wars: Holocron?
Holocron is a machinima feature created using the Star Wars: Jedi Academy video game engine, following several students who are going to Kamino university on a capture the flag scholarship. Holocron is the first spin off series from Channel 80 News and is now created independently. Dubbing occurs both before and after footage is shot depending on the complexity of the scene. Holocron episodes are usually twenty minutes long and have eleven episodes per season.
What is Star Wars: Chronicles?
Like Holocron, Chronicles is also a machinema made with the "Star Wars: Jedi Academy" video game engine. It also employs the use of "Star Wars: Empire at War - Forces of Corruption" for the space battle scenes. Chronicles followes the Republic Investigation Division, or R.I.D. as they patrol the New Republic and try to keep everything in line. Dubbing occurs before footage is shot. Chronicles episodes are usually twenty minutes long and have ten episodes per season.
What
is Channel 80 News?
Channel 80 News is an improv comedy film group
utilizing the theme of a television channel. Outlines are written to give
direction, but the dialogue is created during the filming. The materials spoofed
are broad; talk shows, reality television, commercials, super hero shows, and
even sitcoms.
Each episode is roughly an hour long and there are eight episodes in each
season. Occasionally special features are included in a season as well.

them?
Channel 80 News, Holocron, and Chronicles are Windows Media Video (.WMV) format.
Windows users can
watch it with

DivX player.

What is involved in participation?
Participating in Channel 80 news and Holocron is absolutely free. Since both are improvised, ideas about characters and stories are usually most welcome.
Watching the previous installments of whatever you are going to act in is highly
encouraged but not absolutely necessary.
