Episode 1 Remastered
"If We Make It"
Episode 1
"If We Make It"
|
This marks the premiere of Holocron, a special show based
on voice work and footage created with the game "Star Wars: Jedi Knight
Academy." This episode details the journey of several college students
to the prestigious Kamino University, staffed by Jawas, to begin their
higher education: Sebastian, our protagonist, a bright young man with
veterinary aspirations; Johan, a neurotic guy obsessed with (and
majoring in) hats; Bob, a huge lizard man majoring in beauty studies;
Xander, a cynical man majoring in botany (and English!); and Beatrice, a
mercenary disguising herself as a student. Once they reach the
university, Johan mysteriously vanishes. Can the others get to the
bottom of this mystery, or will their youthful apathy shine through?
After the completion of the series, the first episode was
recreated using improved rendering and other graphical tweaks. It is an
example of the quality that could be achieved at the end of the series
and in the sequel series "Star Wars: Chronicles." It is recommended to
view the remastered episode. |
Episode 2
"The Game's Afoot"
|
In an attempt to find Johan, Xander and Sebastian Kamino
U. students discover the mind-boggling beings known as "Spectators"
living in their capture the flag field. Meanwhile, Bob and Beatrice compete in a
different capture-the-flag match. The arrival of the "new girl," Tiffany of Evil,
leaves all of them in the office of the Jawa known as the Prininciple.
See these antics and more in the second episode of "Star Wars: Holocron. |
Episode 3
"Phantom Fluoride"
|
All hell breaks loose in this third episode of Holocron
as the Jawa staff of Kamino University discover that there's "something
in the water" causing everyone to hallucinate. As the Prininciple tries
to get to the bottom of things, Sebastian, Johan, and the others
experience vivid dream-worlds. The fraternity of Luke Skywalker clones
(The Lukes) battle it out with a dangerous acklay in the cafeteria. In a
cliffhanger ending, Sebastian finds Beatrice in the basement, but has
she discovered what's plaguing the water, or does she just want a bigger
dorm room? |
Episode 4
"Mercy for the Mercenary"
|
Before picking up where we left off, we are treated to a
flashback detailing Johan's days as a school bus driver, and Sebastian's
high school days, in which he met a very quirky young man named Rosh,
who, infatuated with Sebastian, followed him all the way to college. We
also meet a veritable smorgasbord of characters, including the Janitor,
the devious Alora, the lead Luke, and the source of all the water
troubles.
Sebastian is forced to strike down one of his fellow students who has
been possessed, but who? |
Episode 5
"General Grieving"
|
In the last episode of Holocron to be featured within a
C80 episode, Rosh hits on General Grievous, Tiffany is promoted from
"the New Girl" to "the Girl," Beatrice's sisters are informed of her
death, and the Prininciple attempts to plan for upcoming parent-teacher
conferences. We also meet a foul-mouthed C-3PO and a quirky R2-D2, and
Johan goes to detention. |
Episode 6
"Guardian Club"
|
As Sebastian's state of
mental health falls into question, a new face arrives at Kamino
University, Watersford Townsend III. In no time at all Watersford
Townsend the third incorporates him completely into Sebastian's life and
begins his duties as a member of the Guardian Club... But where will
this new mentor's guidance lead Sebastian, and why does everyone soon
take to calling Watersford "Priss Dickens"? |
Episode 7
"What About Bob"
|
Our episode opens with a reference to a DIFFERENT,
slightly more famous web-feature, but make no mistake---it's Holocron.
Having recruited Sebastian as his dark and unwitting apprentice, Priss
Dickens moves his evil plans forward and continues plotting to dominate
the galaxy. He's bad like that. Meanwhile, several assassination
attempts are made on Bob, whom no one seems to believe about Priss's
evil. Poor Bob ends up in physical therapy after a run-in with a
semi-notable Star Wars vessel. |
Episode 8
"All in the Family"
|
Finally, parent-teacher conferences have arrived, leaving the question
of why college students are put through parent-teacher conferences, or
why their college has a principal, unapologetically unanswered. The
guidance counselor, Yoda makes his first appearance here, trying to
counsel Sebastian towards the Light Side but also mistaking him for
Anakin. We also meet Tiffany's parents (a Shakespearean Boba Fett and a
loud Mon Mothma), Bob's parents (another lizard man and, quite literally,
a talking animal), Xander's quirky dad, Johan's sweet and kindly mom.
The sinister guardian Priss Dickens plays out his guardian-part by
filling in for still-drugged Sebastian's parents at his conference. We
also get our first glimpse at Holocrons take on Ewoks as one of them
faces off, verbally, with R2D2. |
Episode 9
"ULSA"
|
Once
again, the opener references that OTHER, slightly more famous
web-feature, and then we move to the meat of our plot: Priss Dickens
addresses the PTA (Parent-Teacher Alliance) and proposes an after-school
program called the ULSA (Un-Life Stellar Annihilator). Is it pretty much
another Death Star? Yes. Is the PTA smart enough to figure that out? No,
because before the episode is over, the ULSA is built, despite Bob's
protests. We also learn that R2 is married, and he and Threepio share an
interesting conversation aboard the ULSA. |
Episode 10
"Whosemy Enemy Like"
|
The
plot moves into hyperdrive in the tenth episode of Holocron. The
Spectators WILL enjoy a coffee break aboard the ULSA. Someone's PT
Cruiser WILL get towed (or added to a certain droid's "whore list").
Priss Dickens, infuriated that Bob has evaded assassination, finally
takes matters into his own hands and challenges him to a lightsaber
duel. Bob, meanwhile, takes initiative and forges an alliance with the
Ewoks, whom he uses to staff his Star Destroyer. Aboard the ULSA, we
find that Priss Dickens has gathered an army of evil and still has
Sebastian at his side. With these two sides poised to duke it out in a
battle royale of epic proportions, who will achieve victory in Star
Wars: Holocron? |
Episode 11
"Proper Measures"
|
It all
comes down to "Proper Measures" in the Holocron Season 1 finale as Bob
and the Prininciple call on the PTA to infiltrate the
now-glaringly-obvious evil of the ULSA. Mon Mothma is chosen, and,
disguising herself as Harry Potter, seamlessly goes undercover into
Priss Dickens' evil base. Meanwhile, a spinning ysalimari counsels
Sebastian on his true purpose, triggering the beginning of the end of
his loyalty to Priss. As the wicked guardian prepares the ULSA to
conquer the galaxy, Bob accidentally launches a pre-emptive strike from
his Star Destroyer, causing his Ewoks to fly the familiar trench-assault
we know and love (only, obviously, Ewok-style). As the ULSA falls apart
around them, Priss Dickens duels a surprise visitor and meets his end,
but will Sebastian and the visitor escape the ULSA before its
destruction---or was Sebastian's return to the light side of the force
'too little, too late'? |
Episode 12
"A New Year"
|
As
the second year of classes opens for the students of Kamino University,
we find that Sebastian has left on sabbatical following the whirlwind
events of the last term. It's a season of changes this year as we are
treated to a view of the home worlds of Bob, Johan, and Tiffany---with
the former two headed back to class with no troubles, but with Tiffany's
father going away on a long business trip (after slamming his wife with
divorce papers). We also meet a new student, Antaeus, who visits
Kamino's rival school, Mericest Honeywood University, to try and decide
where to attend college. A sensitive fellow, Antaeus gets raked over the
coals as he meets Mericest's own principal, Prin-Prin, a foul beast who
married his own daughter; and his best student, Cahfri. In the end,
Antaeus ends up at Kamino, where he is once again raked over the coals
(and given the permanent nickname of "Neil Diamond") by guidance
counselor Yoda---before being given a pleasant tour by Xander. Yes, the
new year has begun. |

to a capture-the-flag match! The Prininciple steps down, leaving Yoda to
take up the job of Principal! Tiffany and Johan take biology! Johan,
