I met him, see I wonder if he's really going to say. I met him on the set of That 70's Show. Is that not what he said? No, we met on set, like backstage, at That 70's Show. That was the first time we met each other. This was like months before the movie.
Shane's answer: Wow, this could be answered a lot of different ways because we met a couple of times before, but, OK, the first time would be the audition, I guess. I read recently that she saw me with a cigarette and a cup of coffee and she said I looked like something out of Rebel Without A Cause kind of thing. She was kind of made-up in a very plain but pretty way as she always is and we talked a little bit. Smiled a lot at each other but we didn't talk a whole hell of a lot. I think she said that she was embarrassed because she thought she screwed up the audition at the end but, actually, that day she had made me decide that I wanted to do the film with her because I thought she'd done a really great job. So, I guess that would be our first meeting but she may talk about a different first meeting. We've had several. (0)

Pop princess Mandy started out strongly with the questions about Shane's name and band. Then, she struggled with guessing Shane's favourite scene in A Walk To Remember and the names of Shane's parents (maybe he should invite her around for dinner at his folk's place to get that little problem sorted out ASAP!). Mandy put in a great effort towards the end and surprised even herself with the "Angelina Jolie" answer and also got in a neat little jab about Shane choosing Silverchair 'cos that's the only Australia music he knows. Mandy's answer: My favourite three things are the people. Like, just the scenery, the city, spending time here and Hubba Bubba [bubble gum]. The strawberry Hubba Bubba is my favourite. Last time I was on rove, over a year ago, and he had an interview with Mariah Carey and she was (whistles). She was insane. That was literally for a year we have been trying to get a copy of that interview because we were in the green room, like me, my band, and my mom and dad, with our jaws on the floor and we were like, 'This is not happening'. Mandy's answer: Yes, I have. I really enjoyed the show. I didn't watch it all the time but when I got episodes, yeah, it was so well-written and everyone on the show was wonderful. Well-acted, well-written. You wonder why quality, classy shows like that get cancelled when there's so much crap on TV anyways. This is, like, quality. You watch it and you learn something. Mandy's answer: I have three cats and two dogs. Milo, Chloe and Zoe are the cats and then Oliver and Winston are the dogs. Oliver is fat now. We call him Sausage Boy because he's five pounds and he's only supposed to be between two to four. He's a big boy. Then Winston is two pounds and he's tiny. They're from this store down in Miami that specialises from breeders of Teacup breeds of dogs. They travel with me. Oh, well, that was her 18th and I was there and there no presents given ... at least, not in the open. Maybe, that her family and friends were there. Maybe that her two best friends were also in town. I'm sure she'll say something probably physical but OK.

Mandy's answer: I would guest-star on The Osbournes 'cos I'm friends with them. (puts on a parental voice) Not little Mandy, she can't possibly be friends with them! I met them at the Spring break for MTV and we just really hit it off - Jack and Kelly and I. I love them. Actually, right before I came to Australia we had the MTV Movie Awards and Kelly performed and she did an awesome job. We were all hanging out after the party and I saw them both the day that I left too. It's so funny. Elijah [Wood, her co-star in the upcoming Try Seventeen] is friends with them as well. Independently. They're the greatest kids. It's so nice to find people my age in town, they live 10 minutes away from me, and they're so normal. So fun to hang out with. (0)

Wow. Maybe ... Maybe Julia Stiles. She'll never say that but maybe Julia Stiles. They kind of have similar attitudes actually. I know them both and I think she'd be the closest. She's not near her size. Julia's a very good actress and they have similar facial features. She already did the Save The Last Dance thing so Julia Stiles can dance. I don't know about the singing. She's also a respected actress.
