George A Romero directed what was intended to be the final chapter of his dead trilogy in the year of 1985. Although popular amongst fans, Day of the Dead bombed at the box office upon its original release. However, over time the film has gained more respect and is now appreciated as a fantastic, horrific end to the trilogy.
