The friendship between Frank Hurley, Danny Mitchell, and Bobby Rose has stood the test of time.
At age 10, they declared themselves blood brothers, by cutting each other’s hands. At age 15 Bobby stood up for Frank when he got caught stealing cigarettes. The boys experienced their first sexual encounter, thanks to a girl Danny knew. 20 years later, Danny, a doctor, and Bobby a lawyer receive a notice that their old friend Frank, who has since made it big in the music business, is playing guitar at a local bar. Danny and Bobby, having drifted apart as well, decide this is a good opportunity to get back what the three boys had as children. The story of Frank, Danny, and Bobby will be told without any dialogue, allowing the visuals & original music, to best describe the friendship these boys had as children. |
The fear in Danny’s eyes as he cut his hands, goes away when Frank and Bobby do the same. These boys share a bond with each other, and no one else. When Frank gets caught stealing cigarettes, Bobby flashes a fake ID, and saves Frank from the consequences associated with stealing, and cigarettes. Years pass, and although Danny and Bobby have become successful professionals, they come to Frank when he summons them to see him play guitar at a local bar. Even though they have gone their separate ways, Frank, Danny, and Bobby, will always be blood brothers. This short flm is based on the song of the same name. Blood on Blood was written by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, and Desmond Child for the Bon Jovi album New Jersey circa 1986. |
