KATHLEEN LEE
Kathleen
Lee,
writer, producer and General Productions co-founder is a reporter for ABC
News. As a writer and freelance journalist, Kathleen has
written for The
Economist, The
Belfast Telegraph and The
Reuters Forum Journal. Upon
graduating from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism,
Kathleen moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland, where she produced General
Productions’ documentary , "Women
on the Threshold", which focused on women’s role in Northern
Ireland’s peace process. This
documentary debuted at the "Vital Voices: Women in Democracy
Conference" in Belfast, a US State Department hosted event in
September ‘98. Kathleen
developed her interest in Northern Ireland while attending the London
School of Economics for her Masters in International Relations. During her
time living in the UK, she appeared as a political commentator on BBC
TV and Radio in Belfast. Kathleen
has translated her political and historical knowledge to the stage in,
“The Tattered Green”,
General Productions’ historical musical about the 1916 Easter
uprising in Dublin. “The
Tattered Green”, written by Kathleen Lee, Enda Keegan, Robert E.
Lee and Apryl Fioriglio, premiered at The Irish Arts Center in New
York City. Kathleen is the
producer of the very successful "ALICE
UNDERGRoUND", which
won Best
Experimental Short Film at the New York International Independent
Festival
Currently, Kathleen is producing General Productions’ upcoming feature film, “PSEUDOLOGICA
FANTASTICA!”. |
