“I’m afraid I… don’t understand.”

“That’s what I like about you, Seven. You speak plainly. Very honest. If you’re confused, you tell people. You don’t pretend. I dare say that is your most admirable quality.”

“Pretending. The art of make believe. People pretend as a sort of entertainment?”

“Sometimes. I mean it’s a product of embarrassment. We want to save face. You’re very attractive, Seven. It’s all right, I’m not going to hurt you. Take off your clothes.”

Seven reached behind her back to the near-invisible zipper on the back of her uniform. The thing peeled off of her like a second skin. Ensign Bob watched her transform into a full-bodied mammal, wearing only her Borg implants. She had back-breaking glands.

“God, you’re beautiful.”

“You like this?”

“Yes I do.”

“Now you are the one who is speaking plainly.”

“Actions speak louder than words.”

Ensign Bob commenced but there was no need for seduction. It was a learning experience and he himself wasn’t apt at it anyhow. They both went slow, and twice he had to silence her questions and tell her to just go with it. As planned, well into the sex, the second Seven of Nine, dubbed Seven of Nine 2, joined in as something to kiss. The evening went on as all three of them learned and learned and learned. Video twitched.

“Jesus, Ensign, you’re a pervert.”

Bob was aghast. “I thought Holodeck privilege was unlimited!”

“Don’t make this any more difficult.”

“Come on, Janeway, you would have done it.”

“Hold your tongue or I’ll clap you in irons! I would hope someone on my crew would be smart enough not to get caught. I guess you were using all of your brain blood for another organ. You embarrass my ship and my crew. This is unacceptable.”

“You really need to lighten up.”

“And you really need an analyst. The Doctor will have a look at your skull tomorrow. Now, I must get back to my ship. Kim, atomic batteries to power! Turbines to speed!”

“That’s Batman, you stupid bitch…”

Ensign Bob was held fast by a large, muscular crew member. He walked along the halls, smiling at every crew member he passed, because they all knew. He saw it in their eyes that they knew, and he didn’t care. If anything, they were afraid. Everyone used the Holodeck, and everyone indulged. It was only a matter of time before they were caught too, and they all felt it. Ensign Bob was elated, in spite of the situation.

This was a part of history.

Near the Brig, his new home, it was by glorious chance that Ensign Bob happened to pass by his favorite crew member. Keeping his head low and grinning, he winked at her, knowing that the confused expression on her face was void of all deception.
