MC Griffin:
Yep.
Sean Catlett:
How long ago did you start doing this "drawing"?
MC Griffin:
Been doing it all my life honestly.
Though there was a woman from Germany my folks looked after for a while that would draw with me when I was like four or five.
Her name was Claudia, and she was awesome.
Sean Catlett:
What sort of things did you draw at the offset?
MC Griffin:
Mario and Sonic.
Heh. No surprise there.
Mega Man too sometimes just to be fair. Wanted to draw Ninja Turtles, but when I was five or six muscles were hard. Just came out like a turtle's head, a shell, and weird lumps attached to it.
Sean Catlett:
That doesn't sound like turtle power at all.
MC Griffin:
No sir. That young, trying to draw Transformers, they turned out like weird rectangle monsters with wheels for shoulders.
Sean Catlett:
You drew characters from cartoons and videogames you were into?
MC Griffin:
Yep, which inspired me to make my own characters. Which I've been doing almost as long as I've been drawing.
Sean Catlett:
Do you remember the first character you created?
MC Griffin:
Billy. He was a platypus. You can tell my status in life with him actually. When I started going through puberty, he gained the ability to fire lazers from his eyes. Now he's violent, rambunctious, and curses like a sailor.
Sean Catlett:
Oh, so he still exists.
MC Griffin:
Yep. I'm working on a comic called Battle Holiday. I've been working on it for the past five years now. He's not the main character, but he's in there.
Sean Catlett:
MORE ON THAT LATER
MC Griffin:
Yes sir.
